NEW CONTENT - THE PERSONOID QUARTERS

Dear Passengers, Residents and Personoids alike,
Thank you for enjoying yourselves and socialising aboard the Alithea.

Once more the entire Invisibles Walls crew are excited to release a new update containing an entirely new level, new features, objectives and items. All of this of course on top of a ton of tweaks and bug fixes that should make your stay more enjoyable.

Every member on the team exclaimed “Holy heck!?” when they opened the patch notes to add their bullets because yes, it is that long.

So buckle up passengers! The personoids are here to show you their inner facilities, the Maintenance.

The Personoid Quarters is under normal conditions strictly off-limits for all residents. However, desperate times calls for desperate measures and sometimes, the Personoid Quarters is simply the fastest way to C.A.I.N.
This is the place where the Personoids come via the new and improved shortcut tube system to recharge, be repaired or even decommissioned if they are beyond repair. Filled with equipment to maintain and sustain the Alithea the Personoid Quarters offers many hiding places for residents and personoids alike.

Make sure to utilize the onboard forklifts to give your friends (or enemies) an advantage!
(Forklift Truck Certificate optional)

Having been hidden among residents all along, we are excited to finally be able to reveal the personoid 1.0. The design of model 1.0 have been influenced heavily by you, our amazing community, and we thank you on behalf of SIIC and the entire IW crew for your assistance. Alithea is better for it!

For now, personoid players will see themselves in their true form at the beginning of the game. In the future however, we expect this form will be more integrated into the actual gameplay throughout the sessions.

While we do like finding the occasional keycard now and then we figured it would be nice to spice things up a little bit. For this reason we are introducing two new objectives that we hope will give a new dynamic to the social interaction.
In order to progress through the Personoid Quarters, Residents need to repair aset of objects to bring the industrial elevator back to life in order to reach C.A.I.N.
Computers
Computers are numerous and can be easily fixed by by Residents but just as easily shutdown again by Personoids.
Generators
Electric generators on the other hand is more sparse and once fixed, they stay fixed. We strongly advise you to work together on these!

Hopefully these new objectives is a step in a direction where we are able to add more dynamic gameplay to each session and with time make each session unique and defined by the players.
Magnetic Boots
How many times have you longed for a chance to get revenge on the person who "failed" the skillcheck on the flush while laughing maniacally? We feel you. Deep down in the Personoid Quarters the onboard-personals Magnetic Boots have been located and distributed across the Alithea. Finding and equipping these will keep you in the flush. Best part of it? No one has to know you have them.
Personoid Shortcut Keys
Another item that has surfaced with the opening of the Personoid Quarters is the Personoid Shortcut Key. Normally restricted to Personoids and Onboard-Personal, these can now be picked up by Residents and enable them to ride in the onboard tube system. Yes, you read that right. The Alithea is interconnected as never before, revealing a brand new pneumatic tube system to replace the old ill-optimized and limited hallways.

And of course, no update without some new additions to the wardrobe. Earn you right to step into the shoes of our onboard engineers and scientists.

Enough of us wrambling! It's time for you to deduce, deceive and explore! The entire changelist can be found below.

As always, thank you for taking part in this journey with us!
Sincerely,
The entire Invisible Walls team

Emergency Event - Hotfix 0.7.6.3

Yesterday we patched in the Crash Reporter. Already the first fuits are ready to be harvested from that. We localized a frequent crash related to the new Lobby Chat and it is possibly also a cause of other issues. We would like to give a special thanks to everyone submit their crash logs to us. They are really helpful!

Lastly we saw that people did not have their intended fates when they failed the Emergency Event and we of course made sure to kill all Residents - it is the way.

 • Reduced the amount of flashing and decreased transparency of the Emergency Event UI message.

 • Fixed Emergency Event not properly killing everyone.
 • Fixed a potential crash related to the Lobby Chat System

A WELCOME EMERGENCY - Patch 0.7.6.2

This is the patch that will lead to the major update scheduled in a few weeks - stay tuned for more teasers on that.

The primary goal for these in-between patches is to solve bugs, balance and implement a ton of smaller things. However, for this patch we have also decided to add a new, highly requested, mechanism that we hope will add additional dynamics to the gameplay. Read more about it below.

We have seen that the meta in the game sometimes is to run around in a big blob which can make life unnecessarily frustrating for the personoids. The new Emergency Event introduced in an experimental stage in this patch is an attempt to split up the players and can occur randomly in all major levels.

How does it work? When the Emergency Event, Gas Leak, occurs the players have 1 minute to locate and repair 2 marked objectives. The repair time for each objective is based on the amount of players participating - The more players collaborating the faster the gas leaks are repaired. If they succeed Residents will be granted Progression Score. If they fail all Residents will succumb to the emergency and Personoids win the game.

The Emergency Event is still very much a work in progress so we would appreciate all the feedback you can give us on our Discord. The visual design of the Gas Leak will also be revised when we know more about the exact functionality and placement of the events.

BIO VISION UPGRADE: As Alithea gets more items and objectives to keep track of we felt the personoids needed a small upgrade to ease navigation. The new and improvoed Bio Vision comes with tweaked effects and now shows more objects, including icons.

CUSTOMIZATION UNLOCK EFFECTS: We added some more flair and panache to the screen when you level up and acquire new customization options. Now you should see a visual representation of the item pop up during the game.

LOBBY CHAT: We have seen multiple requests for enabling text chat in the lobby and we are happy to finally be able to deliver on this. We hope this will help make the setup and start of each game easier to go about.

In the last update we introduced our registration and linking to our Publisher Versus evil, which would move customization and saves to the cloud. The goal of the registration is to create a system that would allow the player to have their settings no matter where they play from. We know that a lot of people have had issues with their customization and this should hopefully alleviate some of those issues. We still have some ways to go, but we are actively at work fixing all these migration issues.

To help fix all these issues we have added a crash reporter that you can use whenever you experience a hard crash. Please fill out as much information as possible as that really helps us out making it a better game.

We hope that you will enjoy the effort and work we put into this update. The entire changelist can be found below.

As always, thank you for taking part in this journey with us!
Sincerely,
The entire Invisible Walls team

Steam's top new releases for April has remasters and some actual surprises

The time of the month has come for Steam to roll out their biggo blog post and sale page for top new releases on their store for the prior month. Not every month brings a terribly interesting bunch, but this does have a couple smaller surprises. The remasters you were waiting for nabbed a spot as expected, but there are also spots earned by games you might not have heard of—a retro-future hidden role game, for instance.
