The Immortal Update - Patch Released

FIrst of all, the entire team here at Nomad Games want to say a massive thank you for all the positive feedback, kind words and enthusiasm you've shown for Fury of Dracula: Digital Edition since we launched The Immortal Update Beta. If you missed the announcement for the beta, you can find out all about it here.

Our team have just rolled out an update exclusively for the Immortal Beta - so please note that if you're still playing on the default branch, none of the changes below will effect your game.

Just like before, if you notice any bugs or issues in the beta version, please post them either on the Steam forums, or in the #bug-reporting channel on our official Discord! And if you can, please make sure to include your player log - you can find information about how to provide that on the Discord!

First up, these are changes and fixes that only effect things that were already in the beta:

  • Mature or Lair choice dialog no longer automatically highlights the mature option
  • Mature or Lair choice dialog now informs the player explicitly that the hideout has no encounter cards

  • Fixed Dark Call House Rule description error
  • Fixed combats during the Dracula phase being considered daytime by combat cards (E.G. Claws)
  • Fixed being unable to move to a location that just fell off of the trail
  • Fixed not passing control to the correct character after Dracula moves a hunter
  • Fixed Escape as Bat clearing the first 2 spaces of the trail when the slide trail house rule is enabled
  • Fixed Heroic Leap and Escape Route resolving before Dracula can cancel the combat using a Fog Token
  • Fixed using the Planned Ambush effect combined with Dracula selecting their combat card before the hunter on round 2 stopping game progression
  • Fixed online house rules dialog incorrectly showing rumour tokens as disabled when they are enabled
  • Fix maturing a vampire to cause a Dracula victory with the slide trail house rule enabled causing a progression blocker
  • Fix online game progression blocker when Dracula chooses to mature a hideout with the Lair advanced rule enabled
Alongside those changes and fixes, we've implemented a whole heap of brand-new things into this version of the beta too. Check out the full list below:[h2]Added[/h2]
  • Added text indicating how many cards need to be selected in multiple situations (E.G. discarding after using the Supply action)
  • Added a prompt to inform players that Dracula is choosing whether or not to cancel a combat using a Fog token
  • Added more context information when placing an encounter card on a hideout

  • Button text when making card choices now updates to better reflect what the player will do rather than always saying "Submit"
  • Hunters can discard rail tickets after collecting new tickets
  • Wolf Form now allows Dracula to select his current city if he is able to play hide rather than a separate prompt to play Hide
  • Dracula is now able to choose any number of encounter cards in a maturing hideout to mature while the rest are discarded
  • Mina Harker's Psychic Bond result stands out more when Dracula is in the same region as Mina Harker

  • Fixed some cases where hunter action buttons appeared for Dracula/Spectators
  • Fixed hunters being able to become delayed to discard Aristocratic Vampire when they are already delayed
  • Fixed cards on the trail sometimes remaining visually after they have been removed
  • Fixed incorrect opacity for the road between Rome and Naples
  • Fixed cards in discard piles sometimes appearing too large
  • Fixed faceup event cards from the event deck obtained by Dracula through Hoax's mature effect remaining faceup in Dracula's hand
  • Fixed defeated hunters being able to reveal Heavenly Host during Consecrated Ground
  • Fixed Sense of Emergency not triggering Wild Horses
