Mid October Developement update!
As we announced recently Chief has been hard at work on Taming - among other areas of development and has finished the coding regarding Taming. So successful is his work that he’s managed to add a new creature.
Proudly introducing the Grimscaler.
"This creature is said to have very thick scaly skin akin to Armor. Not much has been recorded about these ferocious beasts as not many have managed to get close enough to observe and survive to tell the tale! In a constant state of anger, the Grimscaler is sure to be a tough foe turn invaluable tame for those skilled enough"
Tame Levels
We’ve added different tiers of smoke grenades used for taming and they will affect different creatures according to their level/strength.
We’ve broken them down into the following classes;
 • Small
 • Medium
 • Big
 • Boss
Creature Levels
We’ve made some major changes to the creature levelling system. We’ve expanded the levels from 5 to 15. Not only will this allow for balancing as we add more and more creatures, but it will also slightly add to the immersion or realism.

With only 5 levels we felt that the upgrades would have to be minor, or the changes would need to be drastic. After all you don’t grow a huge bicep just because you completed your first set.

We want your maximum levelled tames to be significantly stronger than the wild counterpart, but we want this to be achieved gradually or naturally if you would. We feel that our level system has reached that balance.
Scaling
I’m not talking about scaly skin like the Grimscaler this time, instead it’s just a small note to say we’ve increased the Werewolf’s size by 25%. It’s not a massive change or has any impact in game but we do feel that at this new revised size, the Werewolf better fits its formidable reputation.
Missions and Dynamic Map
We’ve decided to write a new story for creatures inc. Although much of the game and the lore will remain the same, we have decided on a much more detailed, intricate and in-depth story to help us fulfil the experience we want our players to have.

With the new storyline and condition-based quest system players can expect the game world around them to change and react with the players progression in the story.

Although this is an ongoing task, we are confident that our story so far is filled with mystery, deep lore and logical progression. This is our first time attempting such a complex system and expect this to take a significant amount of time.

Weapons

Chief has created a new weapon and has created the animations and sound effects necessary to go with it.

Currently the Weapon has no name, and we’d really like the community to offer some suggestions.

See the pics below for the Pistol and Pistol w/Silencer.

This is the first of many weapon types and we hope you like the theme/style.

That’s all for this update! Add your Gun name suggestions in the Discrod Channel #name-that-item

Thanks guys for your support :)

Welcome to the Second Developer update!
“Are you the kinda person that knows how to handle yourself?”

Welcome to the Second Developer update!
As per our initial Announcement these can be expected every 2 weeks, although, we get excited sometimes and drop sneak peaks from time to time outside of this.
“Help me with my Research, and I’ll share the fruits of labour”
Taming, is completed.

The Chief has made solid progress on all aspects of Taming, and can now say it is complete. Across all Creatures not just the Werewolves. We’ll share with you some more creatures soon!

Relaunched, faithfully reimagined. This is the underlying aim of the project. To provide an enhanced experience in comparison to the 2019 release without making a completely different game.

To do this, we are using new assets trialling new mechanics and getting buried in spreadsheet documents. The joy. We are confident than fans of Creatures Inc. will see this as a huge upgrade and not just a visual makeover.

One of those new ventures that has successfully paid off and I pinged the Tamers earlier on in the week to tease about it early. The new Taming process now includes a Parasite, for extensive mind manipulation allowing the Tamer to have excellent responses and consistently loyal creatures, if you can get them to bond that is!
“You’re back, Fantastic! What have you brought me this time?”
Perhaps you’re wondering what’s with these Headers?
It’s my nerdy way of saying, we’ve been busy fleshing out Missions, Quests, and Trading. Although not fully completed we are making strong progress and can confirm there will be Creature Hunting for Survival, Food, Loot and Sport.

And there will also be a system to acquire Parasites. The vision for them is that they ca be found in certain conditions but can also be obtained from an NPC. This way you can Tame as many, or as little, creatures as you want. And yes, we also see an army of Werewolves as a necessity.

There will be a network of NPC’s to aid help or hinder your progress through the world.
Players can expect, NPC Merchants, NPC Mission Givers, NPC Skill Trainers, Enemy NPC’s – Multiple varieties.
“I’m sorry Traveller I’m a little busy right now. Come back another time”
Although we are making good progress we are also uncomfortable to try and provide a timescale. We have decided on a Phase Program.
We are still fining tuning this but the community will be able to track our progress and know what to expect according to which Phases have been Completed and which Phases are still being worked on. It is basically a RoadMap or rather an Early Access Road Map of sorts.

We both work on the game in our free time, it is too difficult to suggest how long certain tasks may take.

Additional information we’d like to share with you regarding our progress

Taming
Whilst the Chief has been busy coding the Taming system, animations, character creation and more, I’ve had the opportunity to begin developing the Skill Tree system. Whilst still early on it’s exciting to be able to share with you that the Werewolf Taming has been fully coded and animated.
The taming methods have been created with the specially altered smoke grenade that was shown in an early one of Chief’s posts. On top of that the player can give orders to the tamed creature such as ‘Attack’ and ‘Follow me’.

The ability to heal your creature is almost expected and a foundation for such a game as Creatures Inc. as with all other areas of development this takes time to code and get working as intended. However, I’m happy to announce that thanks to Chiefs efforts, creature healing has been implemented too – once you learn the relevant knowledge in-game.

Skills
There is 8 Skill Trees to help you on your way to being a Master Tamer. The Skill Trees have been created to accommodate many different playstyles and the progression will be down to the player.
You unlock the Skill Trees in the order you want/need them.
This way we hope you will be able to complete many playthroughs and have different experiences in doing so, or perhaps you’re in it for the long haul and you want to max out every skill? The choice is yours.
Each Skill Tree unlocks different items tools and/or weapons so it pays to keep your options open

Choose from the following Skill Trees :
 • Tamer
 • Hunter
 • Doctor
 • Engineer
 • Survivor
 • Brawler
 • Vet
 • Chef

Make sure to keep an eye out for more updates coming soon!

🏋️‍♂️ New Skill Tree System 🏋️‍♂️

Now players will be able to pick the skills in the order they prefer as they progress their character.

This will accommodate all playstyles through 8 different Skill Sets.

CREATURES..!
As you may have already seen, our first creature to be added is the Creatures Inc. iconic Werewolf. However, with everything else being renovated, so has the Werewolf!

All Creatures are asset bought on marketplace, created by talented artist.

We plan to have a whole host of various creatures and animals to inhabit the area with work so far progressing well allowing us to significantly increase the number of AI in the game.

No two Creatures will be the same 🙉 🙊

It will serve well to pick the finest Creatures to take as companions. Not all Werewolves will be the same, introducing a basic Level and progression system for Creatures ensures only the strongest will survive...

Moving Forward 📈
We will keep the community updated and involved every 2 week with development update, screenshots and VLOG.

That wraps this weeks update up!

Thank you for being with us on this journey, we can't wait to show you more
