State of the Game and New Boost Animation



Hi Everyone! We wanted to release another update on where we're at right now, to keep you all in the loop in terms of new content, development, and bug fixes.

First things first: Our launch on iOS has been going really well! We're so happy to finally have the game out on this platform, and it's been great to see how many people are enjoying it. We've encountered some bugs here and there, including the continuing issue with ads not working correctly. We've been hard at work for the last two weeks trying to create fixes for these issues and a few others, and we've definitely been making progress.

Unfortunately, because we've had to take the time to deal with these problems, that means that the dinosaurs are a little delayed again- I know, this is like, the 57th time, but we're in the home stretch now. We will be pushing the release of the dinosaurs by about a month. But it's almost ready, and we're so close! We can't wait for you to see the progress that we've made and to try out this new content. If you'd like to try out the beta version so far, we are actively beta testing it on our webpage, and this IS the version that will be moved into the main game. You can play it at celltosingularity.com/beta.

We're putting our full focus into finishing up the dinosaurs, but after that, we're going to continue development on The Beyond! We've been mostly in the planning stage so far, and we're excited to start making more progress on this new phase of the game. We have a lot of smaller content updates planned between the release of the dinosaurs and The Beyond, which we'll also be talking more about soon.

Beta v2.59 Patch Notes

  • Daily reward calendar is back with a revamped look
  • Social media links (Discord, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit) now give a reward of 2 Darwinium each (10 total!)
  • Time Flux has a sick swirl effect when used
  • Entropy and Idea Bursts shoot a flood of entropy/ideas
  • Added shiny new buttons for buying Darwinium
  • Fixed offline income not being earned
  • Changed “Watch an ad” text to “Use Darwinium” in offline income and x2 boost popups
  • Unlocking Singularity or Terraforming Achievements will pay 8 Dawinium cubes each
  • Achievement popups in sidebar will now unlock that related achievement when clicked
  • Tutorial hints will not show after first reboot
  • Icons in tooltip are greyed out until purchased
  • Added sound effects for selecting tree nodes
  • Changed “Join” text on social media links to “Visit”

Steam Achievements now in Beta

Hello Cells players!

You've asked for it: Steam Achievements are on the Beta branch. Now you can show off how far you've gotten in the story of evolution and civilization with 7 story-related achievements. With more to come later!

To access the Beta:

1. Right-click the game in your library and click on Properties.



2. Click on Betas.



3. Select beta - Public Beta in the dropdown.

Cell to Singularity Coming to iOS August 29th!

Hi everyone! We want to announce that Cell to Singularity is officially launching on iOS on Thursday, August 29th! The game has been available on Android for some time, but now we are finally bringing it to Apple devices.

While cross-platform saves will not be available (yet) between your Steam version of the game and the version on iOS, users playing on iOS will be able to take the game anywhere with them, watch ads to gain extra currency, and take and share screenshots of the game on social media.
