The long-running Awakening update has finally come to an end.
Thanks to many heroes, we've received a lot of support and feedback that allowed us to finalize the update.
We hope the Awakening update was an opportunity to empower various characters and enjoy a new purpose in game.
The GrandChase Team is preparing content updates in the second half of the year to bring you new and exciting experiences.
We will reveal more about the content update as we continue development. Please look forward to the new updates.
Before we go forward with the content updates in the later half of the year, we plan to go forward with improvements in player experience and quality of life.
The dev team has taken into account various suggestions and requests since the last survey. We will go through 2 separate patches to cover various improvements.
The 1st quality of life changes will take place on May 28, 2025.
■ 3 Hero Dungeon Reset Period and Count Changes
- The play count limit for The Crucible, Sanctum of Destruction, and Wizard's Labyrinth will be changed from 1 daily count to 5 weekly counts.
- With the play count changes, dungeon rewards and repeat mission rewards will be adjusted accordingly.
- The repeat mission condition for The Crucible, Sanctum of Destruction, and Wizard's Labyrinth will be changed from clear 1 time daily to clear 5 times weekly.
■ Tower of Disappearance, Berkas' Lair Dungeon Entry Time and Reward Improvement
- Entry Time for Tower of Disappearance and Berkas' Lair will be removed.
- Upon defeating [Berkas] in Berkas' Lair, players will be able to acquire 'Alcubra Monster Card Box' on a 100% chance if they still have an entry count.
- Upon defeating [Berkas] in Berkas' Lair, players will be able to acquire 'Mystery Potion' on a 100% chance only if they still have an entry count.
■ Hero Dungeon Reward Improvement
- Some Repeat Mission Rewards will give the completed item instead of the Hero Dungeon Box Craft Materials.
- Hero Dungeon Box Craft Material (Refined Opal, Box Craft Tool Set, Core Essence) will be removed from the Repeat Mission Rewards.
- The Clear Select Reward for Wizard's Labyrinth 30th floor will be removed.
- Item blueprint will be available for 'Phantom Phoenix's Earring' in Hero's Bullion Shop.
- Hero Dungeon monsters will no longer drop 'Hero's Precious Pearl'.
■ Another World Dungeon Improvement
- Daily Reward Count for The Great Explosion of Kounat will be reduced from 2 times to 1 time.
- 'Dimension Core' count upon clear will be adjusted to have the same daily acquisition count.
- 'Dimension Guardians Earring Fragment' and 'Dimension Guardians Piercing Fragment' can be moved to the Warehouse.
- Upon clearing The Great Explosion of Kounat, players can acquire new material items.
New material items can be combined with 'Dimension Core', and 'Dimension Guardians Earring & Piercing (Legendary)' to craft 'Another World's Chaos Earring & Piercing'.
- Dismantling 'Another World's Chaos Earring & Piercing' will also provide new material items.
■ Raid Dungeon Improvement
- Dungeon Reward Count for Void (Invasion), Void (Taint), and Void (Nightmare) will be reduced to 2 per week.
- With the reward count changes, a new repeat mission will be added for each character.
- Raid Repeat Mission condition will be changed from 3 times to 2 times.
- Upon clearing the New Repeat Missions, players will acquire 'Twisted Voidal Box (Invasion)', 'Twisted Voidal Box (Taint)', and 'Twisted Voidal Box (Nightmare)'.
- Twisted Voidal Box contains Monster Card and Scrolls of the respective dungeons.
■ Preset System
- Preset for Equipment, Coordi, Rune, and Quickslot will be added.
- An integrated preset system will be added where players will be able to swap Equipment, Coordi, Rune, Quickslot, Chase Point, Title, Pet Card Presets.
■ Select Box System Improvement
- Select Box will be changed so that multiple boxes can be used at once instead of 1 at a time. This way, players can select multiple items at the same time and receive them.
■ Quality of Life Options
- Volume Adjustment for Character Voice will be separated from Sound Effects.
- An option to control all sound volumes will be added.
- An option to control the transparency of the player's and party members' damage fonts.
■ Room Master Promotion Function
- A function where the room master can promote a party member to be room master will be added.
■ Room Character Swap Improvement
- Players will be able to swap characters while in a room and with no time limit.
Lastly, we would like to provide information regarding
additional compensation related to the probability issue with the 'Seal Breaker Scroll'.
Following the previous round of compensation, we received feedback from players requesting that compensation be based on actual usage rather than just purchases.
After reviewing these requests, we have prepared an additional compensation plan that takes both purchase and usage into account, as outlined below.
Below is a breakdown of compensation eligibility and how it is calculated:
- Players who purchased the 'Seal Breaker Scroll' using either free VP or paid VP until February 27, 2023.
Players who have a record of using the scrolls during the period from August 3, 2022 - February 27, 2023.
- For eligible players, 10% of the number of scrolls used during the affected period will be calculated as the 'usage-based compensation amount'.
- The minimum compensation amount is 10 scrolls. If fewer than 10 scrolls were used, the compensation will match the actual number of scrolls used.
- Based on this, we will compare the
previously granted 'purchase-based compensation amount' with the
newly calculated 'usage-based compensation amount'. If the usage-based amount is higher, the difference will be provided as additional compensation.
