Progress with Definitive Edition
Hey Everyone,
Some of you might be familiar with Kingdom Wars 2, and some newcomers. KW2DE was originally released back in 2016. The game had an amazing potential, so we decided to bring it back, but not as a simple remastered version. Work on KW2DE started last year, and continues full speed as we aim for release at the end of April
Entire game is getting reworked and redesigned from the ground up. With new engine, sweet new graphics, all the tech issues of the original getting fixed up. KW2 is also getting a total makeover both in gameplay and presentation, and interface.
As was always true with our company - we never charge our current players for updates, expansions or DLCs. So Kingdom Wars 2: Definitive Edition will be absolutely free to everyone who purchased the original game.
Here`s a brief list of what returning payers can expect to see:
- New DX11 game engine with greatly improved graphics
- Smoother performance even on mid range system with everything maxed out
- Super high zoom out levels
- Streamlined and reworked the way you play the game with new main menu
- Total re-balance of combat with huge new battalion sizes
- Completely reworked GUI - using what we learned when working on Medieval Kingdom Wars
- GUI overlay on units - same way we are adding soon to Medieval Kingdom Wars
- Unit portraits replaced by pretty 2D pictures, and a lot more GUI changes
We also plan to launch a beta test, starting from early April.
