V85 Dark Suit

[h3]After a few iterations, V85 is now out![/h3]

-Daily missions have been added! Completing 10 will award a "star chip", these chips can be used to unlock skins (not fully implemented yet, not a premium currency, the skin unlock is not finalized) More daily missions will be added so players can complete at least 10 a day.
-New lower difficulty levels have been added to comets, hatcheries and pirate lairs. (The number of total bosses is now dynamic and can change to suit all players, same for the number of eggs to gather)
-New battlefield skybox
-The troops command system now allows you to control vehicles only
-Comets will now yield more minerals
-Recycling and mining now yield more resources
-Overall number of hatcheries increased, comets decreased.
-Overall number of NPC fleets reduced but they are more likely to try and interact with you
-Pirate fighters and sailors now have voice lines
-Space stations now have specialties, some are specialized in weaponry meaning you can purchase crafting materials, others in resupplying meaning you can purchase food and fuel…
-The galaxy scaling system has been overhauled to avoid extreme difficulty spikes
-The ship radar’s range has been reduced (performance optimization)
-Backpack size increased by 4 rows and items can now stack up to 99 and 999
-Synthesis overhaul, easier to unlock blueprints, recipes adjusted (less materials needed)
-Stores will now sell more items
-Pirate lairs’ treasure room door replaced
-New recipes will now show a little red dot to signify they were recently unlocked
-New sound effects for doors, elevators, explosions, death sounds, hit on mechs, hits on shield, hits on flesh.
-Players are no longer kicked of a battlefield after winning, allowing you to gather items before leaving
-Overheat weapons (shotgun and bow) will no longer loop their overheating sound effect when swapped during a reload.

Update 84: Red Circle

[h3]Version 84 is finally here and we are resuming updating every 2 weeks![/h3]

[h2]Here are the main five features and the reason why we took more time to produce this update:[/h2]
  • Multiplayer is re-enabled. While all players can pilot the ship and interact with planets, stations… only the host can trigger events/landings (temporary, the experience will be improved later) This is in place thanks to @The Originals who found a bug while playing and this is our way to temporarily fixing it.
  • New Hatchery! Gameplay objective and experience changed + different difficulties
  • Upgraded Pirate Lairs Gameplay objective and experience changed + different difficulties
  • New activity, Comets! Drill to the core while defending your equipment to escape with loads of loot!
  • New equipment passives:

-Reloading Module: reduces reload speed by X%
-Self-Care Module: regenerates X% of your total health each X seconds
-Quantic Grenades: Grants X% chance on firing to not consume ammo(Grenade Launcher)
-Anti-Gravity thrusters: Adds X jumps (boots)
-Back Thrusters: Increases dash distance by X meters (chest)
-Scouter: Allows you to see enemies remaining health (health value). (head)

[h3]What else?:[/h3]
  • This update sees a few features being temporarily restricted to create a better game flow/balancing/learning curve:
  • Weapon, ships and soldiers can no longer be purchased (they must be manufactured/trained)
  • Quests are removed (Except a few quests at the start) (temporary)
  • The playable zone has been limited for the next few patches as we improve the early game with a new tutorial
  • Upgrading and refining are temporarily removed
  • Commerce-only items (items whose sole purpose are to be sold) are temporarily removed.

  • Press enter to activate your mouse cursor! (lets you hover buffs to read their description)
  • All synthesis (weapon, troops, troop training, ships…) are combined into one menu (pressing P opens it)
  • Your fleet’s AI will now warn you if you are running out of fuel or food.
  • New unit, the pirate captain!
  • New command UI for conquest battles
  • Enemies killed in conquest battles can now drop loot
  • Lowered UI performance impact (edited)

Update 82: The Merge

A large patch note, 4 patches in one!


Special effects:
  • New enemy spawning/ship deployment animation
  • New shotgun shots special effect
  • New Medic (troop) special effects (attacks)
  • New ship weapon attacks special effects
  • New melee hit special effects
  • New shotgun reload animation
  • New grenade launcher weapon core animation
  • Leg propulsor effect added for pirates fighter (them sliding wasn’t a bug, they just have sick turbo boots and had no VFX)
  • New laser canon attack special effect (troops)
  • 6 New boss spawn animations (Famas soldiers, Simian, 2 Pirates, Pems, Medics)
  • Enemy death burst (corpse explosion) special effect
  • Turret materialization special effect
  • Elite mobs/boss glowing eyes special effects


Affixes:
  • Rotating shields, hatred, illusion and life link have been re-added for bosses and elites


Sound:
  • Footstep SFX added
  • Jumping SFX added
  • Dashing SFX added
  • Flying SFX added
  • Mission log SFXs added
  • AI voice added (few lines)


AI:
  • Pirate fighters can now throw their shield Yo-yo style and it’s sick
  • New pirate sword fighters added
  • Pem shooting adjustments (they are a bit more precise)
  • Enemies with raised shields can no longer be knocked back by explosions



Inventory:
  • Consumable stacks will automatically refill when depleted if you have more available in your backpack


HUD/UI:
  • New enemy health bars (bosses’ and elites’ life bars will be fixed at the top of your HUD for better readability)
  • The star chart now features more information on which buttons do what
  • New, clearer way to dispose of unwanted items
  • Stacks of items are now easier to spot
  • Popups are now easier to read
  • UI performance cost lowered (we can now render 100 times the number of health bars and other UI items for a fraction of the previous cost)

Social/multiplayer:
  • New emotes have been added
  • Multiplayer fully restored
  • Players can now hot join in an already started game
  • Massive improvements on synchronization (seeing the same enemies at the same spot at the same time in multiplayer)

Feeling:
  • All weapons were given adjustments to how they handle and feel as well as new crosshair details (hitting an enemy). Recoil was also adjusted for all weapons.


Balance:
  • Critical damages (weak points damage) have been lowered while regular damage received an up.
  • All weapons received damage overhauls. (Feedback on that is welcomed)

Update 78: The special

[h2]Hello commander! Version 78 is here with a ton of new special effects, QoL improvements, Fixes and more![/h2]


[h2]New additions:

  • Inventory sort button (players' request x 1000000)
  • UTAA upscaler
  • Resupplying will now show a supply ship resupplying you
  • New special effects:
  • New tank laser effect
  • New simian shooting effect
  • New simian explosion effect
  • New crawler attack effect
  • New dragon (flying pem) attack effect

Improvements:[/h2]
  • Space station interaction system (buy without leaving your ship!)
  • Overhauled food mechanic, having no food will instead weaken your troops (previously slowly killed them)
  • Tutorial videos have been temporarily disabled (new ones coming next patch)
  • The save option will now always be in the ESC menu but will be grayed out when inaccessible with a tool tip on where/when to save
  • Pirate lair tracking overhaul


[h2]Fixes:[/h2]
  • Multiverse inc. has updated their close range communication devices to prevent ships from turning off when using them. (No soft lock in dialog on the galaxy map)
  • Kepler Industries recalled their Grenade Launchers to modify their grenade ejection systems and make explosions more satisfying. (Grenade Launcher special effect will be tracking the weapon and your projectiles better)
  • New regulations by the Church of Currency now prevents sellers from showing benefits to customers who do not qualify (The training menu will not be shown to players who did not unlock it)
  • "I apologize for my HUD showcasing elements in another language, this should not happen again" Your suit's AI (Everything should now be in the language you selected)
  • Kepler Industries has updated their NCIs (Neural Command Interface) to allow for better control of troops on the battlefield (The AI will correctly follow orders in battles)
  • Scientist are baffled by Manics sudden DNA change that seems to only impact their blood color (Manics' blood will now be red, was previously green)

Update 77: Life gets better

Version 77 is here everyone!
Lots of QoL additions this time!

[h2]New additions[/h2]
  • Items from quests, crafting and battles will now automatically be added to your inventory upon completion
  • Leaving rifts, parasitic meteors and hatcheries is now done through the escape menu
  • You can now interact with stronghold and activities directly on the star chart
  • Social functions have been added, you can now add other players as friends to create teams faster
  • Ships can now hold troops past their capacity. This will however lead to overexhaustion and make troops deal 50% less damage.
  • You can now interact with everything from within the star chart
  • Evolution of all troops will now be displayed with a rank icon instead
  • Added new pirates!
  • New boss spawning effect (rifts)
  • New ripple special effects on shieldmasters' shields
  • New attack effect (divine spirits)
  • New pem bash attack
  • Pirate gladiators now have a new Laser Cutlass
  • Pirate ships now have different colors available
  • New Blood effect on death
  • New bow reloading effect
  • New grenade launcher secondary fire effect
  • Quest objective markers have been overhauled
  • Enemies can now team up against you on the star chart

  • Multiverse updated their communication devices' operating system to avoid them infinitely ringing or shortcircuting ships (calls will not softlock the game anymore)
  • Ships are now all required to house a navigation device (selling the ship you spawn with will not softlock the game)
