Execute Update 66

NAXX IS OUT EVERYONE!

[h2]Update 66 rolled out, go and wreck it![/h2]

[h2]New stuff[/h2]
  • New, animated main menu background!
  • 8 Planets now accessible in total!
  • Colonies and Fortresses have been added:
    Space stations cannot be conquered directly but can be ransacked (doing so will lower their prosperity level). Space stations are now dependent on the colony/fortress they are attached to. Conquering the colony/fortress a station is attached to grants control over the station.
  • The rewards for conquering a certain territory are now displayed to allow you to make the best decisions
  • NPCs of rival factions can now attack you
  • Popups will appear each in-game month to tell you how much you earned through your territories
  • Your companion will now follow you in towns
  • You can dismiss any NPC from your forces (except your companion)
  • Stores will now display their restock cooldown
  • Items will now display their selling and purchasing price
  • NPCs can join factions
  • Reaching a certain affinity with NPCs allows you to integrate them into your team
  • NPCs now have personality traits influencing their stats (up to 4 randomly assigned out of a pool of 40)



[h2]Optimizations[/h2]

  • [Requested by players] Your adventure will now always start near a planet
  • [Requested by players] It is now possible to return to the previous screen when using the NPC interface
  • [Requested by players] Your faction's power level now takes your character’s and follower's equipment into account
  • NPC fleets will now orbit planets before leaving


[h2]Fixes[/h2]

  • NPCs fleet movement will now be the same for clients and the host in multiplayer
  • NPCs holographic projections will now appear normally in multiplayer
  • [Player found bug] Custom faction logos will now display properly on ships
  • [Player found bug] It is no longer possible to duplicate equipment using the companion inventory in multiplayer
  • Your companion’s inventory will now update instantly in multiplayer
  • The date will now be the same for all players in multiplayer
  • Non-host players can now decide to start a battle
  • Non-host players will now follow the host in all encounters
  • [Player found bug] Non-host players will be able to start a game in single player normally after leaving a multiplayer session
  • Non-host players are always able to land on planets and space stations
  • Starbucks 3D model in rifts will now always disappear upon pick up
  • [Player found bug] Cancelling another player’s trash recycling will not soft-lock the game anymore
  • Buff icons will not display when the buffs aren’t active
  • The radar will now function correctly when using a mech
  • Non-host players are now unable to move during the victory screen
  • The bow will not rupture your eardrums playing their overheating SFX in a loop
  • The Acid Spitter will now always fire from its muzzle and not your head (oops)

Update 65: She's finally here!

Version 65 is coming out a little early!


[h2]New features:[/h2]

[h3]NPCs :[/h3]
  • New panel on the ship's second floor to see your relationships with NPCs as well as their power level!

  • Click the NPCs portrait to see the details page and see their latest actions

  • Using the panel, you can actively communicate with NPCs; (Dialog only as of now)

  • You can assign NPCs to hold strongholds in space stations for you

  • Maintaining a good relationship with an NPC will allow you to trade with them

  • Having a bad relationship with an NPC will push them to attack you

    [h3]Space stations:[/h3]
  • New fleet dispatch rules; space stations will deploy their fleets according to its current development strategy (Full Economy / Full Military / Balance)

  • Attacking the fleets of a space station will taint your relationship with its occupant. The prosperity level of a space station will drop after being conquered.

  • Space stations are now explorable in a new 3D environment


Other additions:
  • You can now upload a picture to use as your faction logo on the Create faction screen (Needs a URL)

  • Barbara finally has her own 3D model and animations!


[h3]Optimization and fixes:[/h3]
  • Your Starbucks pick-up range has been extended, the Starbucks pickup now have different rarities and can now yield more Starbucks.

  • Your ships will now display weapon info

  • A few radar icons have been reworked

  • The radar will now display where to go to report your progress on a quest

  • It is now impossible for two players to be recycling or mining the same spot at the same time

  • Item stacking - Improved iterative item stacking

  • The mission UI panel will now show a picture of the NPC that gave you the quest

  • Picking up items will not obstruct your field of view anymore

  • Space station’s descriptions are now correct and include all buildings.

Update 63-64: New units, new scene, and autonomous NPCs!

Hello everyone !
Wait what? What just happened there?!?
Sorry guys, we're a week late for the update, but we got a big one coming! Today it's not 63... but 64! The version 63 was the week during the Steam Next Fest, we were working mainly on bug and performance fixes. So today, it's double cheeseburger with extra cheese and two number 9's, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45's, one with cheese, and a large soda!



PATCH NOTES:
  • Added Sapphire Coast, the new city of Earth
  • Added new short-range shotgun-type units
  • Added new long-range laser-type units
  • Added new autonomous NPCs, they will appear randomly in cities, and you can:
  1. talk with them to increase/decrease your bond (starts as a stranger)
  2. current bond will have an impact on the dialogs
  3. friendly NPCs might send you gifts while the others might attack you (you can even decide of their fate if you manage to win the fight)
  • Added new icons to the radar in the exploring mode (i.e.: armory, captain's chair, etc.)
  • Added a new Windowed mode in the settings menu
  • Items now have a limit to how they can stack
  • Revamped units texturing so that it's easier to distinguish friends and foes
  • Reduced loading times
  • Fixed an issue where it was impossible to switch to another emote animation while the current one was still playing
  • Fixed an issue where it was extremely easy to destroy enemy's shield from very far away while piloting the biped mech
  • Fixed an issue where the game would freeze if your biped mech happened to get destroyed while piloting it
  • Fixed an issue where hitting space bar while editing the faction’s name would not type a space but would directly validate the faction and start the game
  • Fixed an issue where the player would not be able to move after pressing K and closing the feedback interface while playing an emote animation
  • Fixed tons of other, smaller issues too!
