August 10th Hotfix

DEFENDERS,

We noticed some unintended changes to the Wisp Den attacks after our recent patches and wanted to get the fix out for those as soon as possible. We added a few other combat-related fixes into this hotfix, as well.

[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed an issue where the Wisp Den ability could get stuck and no longer target enemies.
  • Fixed an issue where Sirens could get stuck on stairs on Glitterhelm Caverns.
  • Fixed an issue where Ogres would get stuck on The Outpost.
  • Fixed an issue where Boss Test lane barriers on the Throne Room would sometimes impact the map in non-Boss Test mode play.

August 10th Episode 1 Patch

We’ve got a few more changes coming your way with this patch, including unsticking some pesky Ogres, cleaning up various tooltips and text, and fixing community-reported bugs. (Thank you!)

  • Warden
    • Roots of Purity
      • Removed note in tooltip about range being buffed from EV-A’s Overclock Beam, as it does not buff range.
    • Wisp Den
      • Updated wisp animation and VFX transition.
      • Reduced SFX volume.
  • EV-A
    • Blocking Field
      • Corrected data listed in Spellbook.
    • Shock Beam
      • Corrected data listed in Spellbook.
UI
  • Improved textbook functionality for mouse+keyboard and gamepad.

  • Fixed an issue where swapping heroes while selected on a tower would cause the game to crash.
  • Fixed an issue where swapping Fusion weapons on Rogue and EV-A caused an infinite stack off each other.
  • Fixed an issue where only Giraffes were dropping from victory chests on Boss Survival Waves.
  • Fixed an issue where the Rogue’s skin would revert back to the base skin after cancelling Carnage post-Umbral Form.
  • Fixed an issue where the Goblin Copter billboard was showing as “???.”
  • Fixed an issue where Ogres were getting stuck in spawn on Endless Spires.
  • Fixed an issue where Beaming Blossom was missing it's first tick of damage when attacking in Wrath Mode.
  • Fixed an issue on Hardcore Mode where the Wisp Den would instantly re-attack if the owning player was dead and their pawn cleaned up.
  • Fixed an issue where changing heroes on the Stats page would turn stat values blue.
  • Fixed an issue where defenders could build in the furnace on Foundries and Forges.
  • Fixed an issue where the Wisp Den was not attacking the training dummies.
  • Fixed an issue where defenders could get stuck in a sludge pit on The Outpost.
  • Fixed an issue where the Squire’s Spinning Steel projectile didn’t pierce enemies.

August 6th Episode Hotfix

[h2]Content[/h2]
  • Updated shields to be equippable only as an Offhand.

[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed an issue where the Warden’s Wisp Den was dealing 10-15x’s more damage than intended when enemies were on the edge of the Wisp’s targeting range.
    • This was a bug that came right after PTR testing. The Wisps weren’t nerfed, just their unintended behavior was corrected.
  • Fixed an issue where the Flamethrower was not marking enemies when playing the Rogue.
  • Fixed some issues with extra plant movement on the walls of Ancient Mines.

August 5th Episode 1 Hotfix

We have another round of small changes and fixes after Wednesday's update.

[h2]Content[/h2]
  • Can now use “F” key to open transmog.
  • Added missing ability power stats on some pets.

[h2]Balance[/h2]
  • The Lycan King's leap attack is now easier to dodge.
    • He will no longer rotate to face his target while in mid-air or shortly after landing.

[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed an issue where the Lycan Prince pet had no upgrade limit.
  • Fixed an issue with incorrect description text for the Dragoon.
  • Fixed collision issues on The Keep.
  • Fixed some issues with the Lycan King getting stuck.

AUGUST 4TH EPISODE 1 PATCH NOTES

DEFENDERS,

Episode 1, The Lycan’s Keep, is now live and with that, we’ve got some bug fixes and changes coming in hot off the press to make The Lycan’s Keep even greater! Let’s get into it:
Bug Fixes
  • Updated ranged tower focus so that towers focus bosses before focusing Goblins, Archers, Skeletons, and Orcs.
  • Fixed an issue where fusion name prefixes were still appearing.
  • Fixed an issue in Transmog where selecting wings would not allow you to press the “Save” button.
  • Fixed an issue where the Shroomy Cap (Episode 1 Login Event reward) was sellable.
  • Added the Rogue default weapon as a transmog piece.
  • Removed unused color zones from the Rogue Sword transmog.
  • Fixed an issue where the transmog search bar wouldn’t return focus to the top bar if you had previously selected it.
  • Fixed an issue where the transmog costume menu wasn’t being opened when pressing “F” while having equipment in the inventory selected.
  • Fixed an issue where the Crossbow Secondary Attack was not using the weapon’s element for its damage type.
  • Fixed an issue where swapping Hero in HDS was keeping wings from the previous selected hero.
  • Fixed a myriad of transmog bugs and polished out some rough edges. This isn’t anything that wouldt make sense in a patch note, but is fun to add to show that work was done.
  • Fixed an issue where the Guard Fusion set wasn’t giving a stat bonus to armor.
  • Fixed an issue where the XP Progress bars were stuck at 100% after reaching Level 100.
  • Updated text on the hero deck to better reference the active hero bonus.
  • Updated the tactical map defense icons for the Warden.
  • Updated the settings for tactical map icons.
  • Fixed an issue where visual states when selecting unlocked transmog templates would not work properly.
