1-Month Patch Notes Compilation

NEW
New Item Types - Jewelry: Rings and Amulets
•Always drop Crescendo'd
•Always have 2 mods
•Both mods can roll any mod, even those only accessible via Twists of Fate
•Mods roll at 75% strength on Amulets and 37.5% strength on Rings
•Higher rarity drops = higher base mod level instead of more mods, as follows:
White = -5
Green = +0
Blue = +5
Purple = +10
•Legendary mods still roll +10 and are unaffected by the reduced mod strength effect
•Not sold by shop or available as a quest reward
•More rare than regular gear

Added a Skill Merchant to Town. All regular skills are available for 2,000 gold.

Added hitstop to melee attacks
Adjusted melee animations to compensate for hitstop (This may end up being a slight buff to all melee attack speed).

New Mod - Hitstun Resistance: Reduces your chance of being hitstunned.
Note: This stacks multiplicatively with Unwavering (Unwavering + 50% Hitstun Resistance = 75% reduced chance to be hitstunned.)

Added a new keybinding "Show Skill Information" (default Left Ctrl), press this while inspecting an item or Dying Wish to show detailed information about the skill it contains.

Cerridwen: Potion of Recall replaced with Mutual Mending - Your potions also heal your minions for 20% of their maximum health.

BALANCE
Infinite Arena Drop Improvements
-Improved the chance of equipment dropping at higher enhancement levels in Infinite Arena. (In Commander, Boss waves will always spawn equipment that is at least +2. These items have a 3% chance per wave completed to instead spawn at +3, increased from 2% per wave completed.)
-Chance for legendary items to drop has been increased by 10% in Infinite Arena.

Increased the drop rate of equipment.

Minion Health can now roll naturally as an implicit mod on Staves and Foci, and on any gear with Twists of Fate.

2-Handed Melee weapons now have a bonus flat chance to inflict hitstun on any melee hit. (Swords - 10%, Axes - 15%, Maces - 20%).

Shield standard attacks now have a 10% bonus chance to inflict hitstun.

Arena/Infinite Arena: Increased the delay between spawns from 1.25 seconds to 1.5 seconds.

-TALENTS
  • Zabaoth: Vampiric Potion - Bloodthief duration increased from 4 to 6 seconds.
  • Ehtiras: Mana Vampire - Standard melee attacks replenish 2.5% of your maximum mana, doubled while wielding a focus.
  • Ehtiras: Bottled Lightning now enables the use of potions while at full health.
  • Wrath of Ehtiras - Increased duration from 5 to 6 seconds


-SKILLS
Fixed many damaging skills which had their mana cost affected by Heightened Spell and Greater Heightened Spell, but not their damage.

  • Magic Missile damage increased from 20% to 30% spell damage.
  • Increased the maximum fire rate of Magic Missile and the effectiveness of CDR.
  • Ice Storm radius is now affected by Cataclysmic Casting
  • Death Aura now deals 30% combined weapon damage per second in addition to its regular damage.
  • Consecration damage increased from 25% to 30% combined weapon damage per second.
  • Whirlwind can now spend Spellblade.
  • Fixed Undying Will not increasing max resists by the correct amount. This is a buff.


-ITEMS
Viscera: Now increases the rate of healing over time from lifesteal effects by 20%, in addition to its regular effect. This effect can stack.

Reduced the price of Last Word from 5,000 to 1,500 gold.

IMPROVED
  • Dying Wish now displays the skill icon of the stored skill. This makes shopping for new skills much easier!
  • Improved humanoid ragdolls
  • Updated Icons for Envenom, Innate Magic.
  • Reduced the size of skill icons on the main HUD
  • Improved filtering options for the Skill Merchant. Skills can now be filtered by weapon type required and by 1H or 2H.
  • Improved the description of some summons to clarify that the summon takes reduced damage, not the player.
  • Added a timer after spawn that should remove stubborn chat windows.
  • New charge sounds for Calamitous Strike and Ground Smash

  • Fixed Bloodthief not turning off once you've run out of mana

Talent Tree Functionality Changes

TL;DR: You get 6 more talent points for passive stat bonuses and a free Absolution from Brother Orrian for characters that have reached level 5.

Old system: 4 points in passives allows you to spend your 5th point on a T1 talent. 9 points of total investment in the tree allow you to spend your 10th point on a T1 or T2 talent.

New system: 5 points in passives will allow you select a T1 talent without spending a talent point. 10 points in passives will allow you to select a T1 or T2 talent without spending a talent point.

The end result of this change is that characters will have 6 more talent points to spend on passive stat bonuses at level 30. The number of T1 and T2 talents characters can have is unaffected.

It's easier to give everyone a free respec than to implement a way to make these changes retroactive, so all characters that have reached level 5 will receive 1 free Absolution from Brother Orrian in Town.

Christmas Patch Notes Compilation

NEW
  • Major performance improvements
  • Non-scaling maps: Maps now have a set level (visible from the World Map), and will not scale to the player.
  • New Skill: Envenom - For 6 seconds, all damage applies a stacking poison. Each stack of poison deals 10% combined weapon damage per second.
  • New Skill: Shield Throw - Throw a mystic copy of your shield. Deals damage equal to 15 x your offhand shield's level and bounces to up to 2 additional targets. If no additional targets are found, damage is increased by 25% per remaining bounce. Damage inflicted counts as a spell if wielding a focus, or a melee hit otherwise.
  • New Skill: Vanish - Become invisible for 5 seconds. You generate no threat and enemies will attack other targets if possible. Enemies near you may detect you.


  • Added "Screenshake Intensity" slider to the Gameplay menu in Options.
  • Talents will now reset if your character has allocated a talent which has been removed from the tree.


BALANCE
  • Infinite Arena now scales with the highest level player instead of the average party level.
  • Unstable Runes: Now only the player which spawned the rune may detonate it.
  • Viscera Axe - Healing now takes place over 5 seconds instead of instantly.
  • Your minions are now killed when you die.
  • Increased arrow hitbox size by 30%.
  • Last Word can now be used on Crescendo'd items.
  • Enemies will now focus more on targets using Taunt.


SKILLS
  • Siphon Strike - Reduced heal amount from 100% to 30% of damage dealt.
  • Siphon Strike - Increased mana cost from 100 to 125.
  • Super: Wardship of Orias stamina regeneration increased from 15 to 30, max resist cap increased from 80% to 85%, now returns 100% of damage received to attackers.
  • Dragonfire cooldown reduced from 8 seconds to 4 seconds.
  • Undying Will now increases all maximum resistances by 1% per 50% Boon Intensity.
  • Super: Strength of Zabaoth - Now increases total damage by 100%, reduces incoming damage by 20%, and grants immunity to hitstun. Bonus damage removed. This is a buff.
  • Summon Demon Wolf is now affected by Recruiter.
  • Summon Demon Wolf cooldown increased from 0.5 to 5 seconds.
  • Summon Bear max summons reduced from 3 to 1.
  • Frostblink damage increased from 50% to 100% spell damage. Radius increased by 50%.
  • Thunderstep damage increased from 75% to 150% spell damage. Radius increased by 50%.


TALENTS

Fists of Ruin Overhaul
  • Fists of Ruin now causes your melee attacks, while fully unarmed, to deal 30% damage in a small area around the target, and doubles Bonus Damage in addition to Crit Chance and Crit Damage.
  • Increased base damage of unarmed strikes.
  • Calamitous Strike - Now grants a shield that blocks 1 attack per each enemy hit. Lasts for 8 seconds. Reduced cooldown from 8 to 4 seconds. Reduced mana cost from 150 to 100.


  • Zabaoth: Replaced Iron Will with Intimidating - Your shouts reduce the damage of enemies in range by 10% for 5 seconds.
  • Cerridwen: Replaced Frostflies with Telepathic Bond - Your shouts also affect your minions outside shout range.
  • Cerridwen - Recruiter now only affects summon skills granted by your equipped weapons.
  • Cerridwen - Swarmcaller has been removed and replaced with a new talent: Volatile Minions

Volatile Minions: Summons that would exceed the max amount cause an existing summon of the same type to explode, dealing their attack damage + 10% of their current health to all nearby targets.

  • Zabaoth: Heavy Hitter - Now gains 10% Bonus Damage per 150 Max Health, from 10% per 100 Health.
  • Alcaeus: Swapped the positions of Fists of Ruin and Invigoration Potion
  • Ehtiras: Swapped the positions of Heightened Spell and Bottled Lightning
  • Kirkira: Swapped the positions of Greater Heightened Spell and Mana Potion
  • Cerridwen: Swapped the positions of Recruiter and Infusion on the Cerridwen tree
  • Cerridwen: Forbidden Knowledge now allows the use of Summon Troll Lord.
  • Verndari: Sniper - Reduced damage bonus from 10% per 1 meter traveled to 2% per 1 meter traveled. Now caps at 50% increased damage.
  • Kirkira: Dodge Warp - Reduced stamina cost increase from 20 to 10.


CHANGED
  • Clarified the description on Runic Serration and Envenom to read "all hits" instead of "all damage".
  • Summon Troll Lord now creates a portal as intended.
  • Improved font handling for Japanese language.
  • Reduced the volume of Death Aura by 50%.
  • Ravager boss should have an easier time fitting through doors.

  • Sessions not marked as Public will no longer show up in the Find Game menu.
  • Fixed destructibles still making noise while SFX were muted.
  • Fixed a bug where Boon Intensity was only working for the caster and host.

Summoning Overhaul
  • Added information about certain summons' damage resistance to their skill description.
  • Reduced damage reduction on Summoned Bear and Demon Wolf, and increased health to compensate.
  • Increased Demon Wolf's health scaling, final health increase at level 30 of about 13%.
  • Capped summon damage resistance to 75%.
  • Cerridwen: Symbiosis - You now receive 5% of damage taken by minions.


  • Reduced Thunderbolt damage from 75% to 65% spell damage.
  • Decreased caps on Reduced Mana Cost and Cooldown Reduction from 75% to 50%.
  • Reduced base CDR per mod from 5% to 3%, reduced scaling per level from .3% to .2%
  • Blink Arrow now instantly teleports you upon reaching max range. Max height attainable is 500 units.

New values: Cooldown 15 seconds, mana cost 150, base health 200

  • All MTX can now be universally applied to gear, and applies the proper equipment model.
  • Stash is now filterable, scrollable, and has more expansion available. (Filter functions can be very processor-intensive currently)
  • Reduced the radius of Rampage's ground slam to more accurately reflect the damage area indicator.
  • Clarified the effect of some legendary weapons to use the wording "Basic attacks".
  • Skill icons for Supers now display in red if weapon requirements are not met.
