2 Day Patch Notes Compilation, Part 2

NEW

[h2]Infinite Arena Loot Overhaul[/h2]
[h3]Enhanced Equipment Rewards[/h3]
  • In Commander difficulty, the minimum gear reward for completing a wave is a +1 item.
  • The minimum gear reward for completing each boss wave is a +2 item.
  • +1% chance per wave completed for enhanced gear drops to gain an additional level (up to +3).
  • Drop Chance Enhancement: Loot drop chances increase for every wave completed. Wave 30 now has the same likelihood of spawning a legendary as killing Act 2's boss.
  • Enhancement bonuses also apply to legendary drops.
  • All gear drops at each player's level, so power leveling other players here is viable.
  • All loot chances and enhancement bonuses are affected by Magic Find.


Dual-wielding shields has been added. While dual wielding, you can perform a basic attack with the shield in your primary hand which deals 7-10 base damage per level of the shield. Shields cannot be used as weapons unless you are dual-wielding them. There's some bugs with shield placement on the main hand for the moment, should be fixed soon. Shield attacks are using the 1H melee attack animation until I find something better.

New characters now start with a Level 1 Focus with the Firebolt ability in their offhand.

New Skill: Blink Arrow - Fire an arrow that teleports you up to 2000 units. Passes through enemies. Mana Cost: 100, Cooldown: 12 seconds

BALANCE
  • Bow Buffs: Average damage for a level 30 bow increased from ~250 to ~325. Increased average bow attack speed from 0.6 to 0.7. Existing bows are unaffected.
  • Reduced default movement speed by 4%. (Kiting is fairly easy to do without investment in movement speed. Please provide feedback on how this feels!)
  • Dodge rolling is no longer possible while airborne.


MINIONS
  • Improved enemy AI target acquisition.
  • Reduced the time minions wait to start following you after combat.
  • Increased the distance at which Firefly summons follow you.


MODS
  • Cooldown Reduction mod scaling reduced to equal about 15% per mod at level 30, down from about 20%


SKILLS
  • Barbarous Stomp - Increased mana cost from 100 to 125. Increased Cooldown from 8 to 9 seconds.
  • Rooting Arrow - Cooldown reduced from 16 to 14 seconds. Root duration increased from 3 to 3.5 seconds.
  • Sinister Flare - Will now attach to surfaces in addition to enemies. (This was a REALLY punishing skill to miss. This should help add some gameplay options and make the skill more forgivable.)

The following Super abilities have had their weapon requirements removed:
  • Strength of Zabaoth
  • Summon Troll Lord
  • Kirkira's Resolve


TALENTS
  • Orias: Kinetic Absorption has been replaced with Shield Boss - Damage with shield attacks increased by 25%.
  • Heightened Spell and Greater Heightened Spell now only increase the mana cost of damaging abilities.
  • Reduced the stamina cost increase on dodge rolling incurred by Backstep Volley from 20 to 10 and added this information to the talent's tooltip where it was missing.


IMPROVED
  • Dying Wish can now be used on Crescendo'd items. This was an oversight.
  • Improved the tutorial.
  • Improved inventory performance.
  • You can now push multiple minions out of your way at once.
  • Mana cost and cooldown on tooltips is now updated to reflect the actual cost of the spell after changes from your stats and talents.
  • Spider movement has been improved.
  • Strike skills now use proper 1H and 2H animations.
  • Corrected the description on blink spells to state that you will teleport in the direction you are moving.
  • Significantly improved AI pathfinding and issues with getting stuck on geometry.
  • Improved Rampage boss leap AI.
  • Improved summon AI and tracking during attacks.


FIXED
  • Fixed legendary items duplicating when buying them back from the shop.
  • Fixed a bug where new arena waves could start before the final wave completed.
  • Fixed an item duplication bug.
  • Fixed a bug where charged up spells would not fire if charged before the start of combat.
  • Fixed Shield MTX not working. Shield MTX can now be applied to all 1H weapons in addition to shields.
  • Fixed active Spell Effects not being removed on death.
  • Fixed Bloodthief healing for more than intended in multiplayer.
  • Fixed the Find Game menu.
  • Fixed Undying Shout/Undying Aura not applying resistances as expected, and new resistances not being reflected accurately in the stat readout.
  • Fixed dropped legendaries not displaying their legendary effect on the equipment tooltip.
  • Fixed Dyes and Dying Wishes not being able to be dragged and dropped in inventory.
  • Fixed Dying Wishes losing their stored skill when dropped and picked up.
  • Fixed a bug where moving items between stash and inventory could stop working.
  • Fixed a bug where Legendaries that were dropped into the world from inventory would become level 0.
  • Fixed Dragonfire dealing less damage than intended while connected as a client to a multiplayer game.
  • Potential fix for near death FX not going away after healing.
  • Fixed a bug where 2H weapons could be wielded with shields. This feature may return in a more intentional way.
  • Fixed a bug where Act 2's boss would not show the incoming hit radius of one of their special attacks.
  • Fixed stash moves not displaying accurately.
  • Fixed shields displaying damage and attack speed lines on tooltips.


CHANGED
  • Increased the delay between spawns in Arena maps from 1 to 1.25 seconds.
  • Blocked some windows on Avatar's Reach.

Shield Dual-Wield Update

NEW

Enhanced items (+1 and up) now have a global drop chance in Captain and Commander difficulties. New legendary items can now roll as enhanced.

Dyes can now be used on Crescendo'd items.

A new door has appeared in Avatar's Reach.

Dropped legendaries now have beams of light!

Added a Close button to the chat window.

Chat window now stays visible while shop is open.

Savage Strike animation speed increased by 50%.

Dragonfire range increased. Mana cost now increases over time.

Liberating Shout duration decreased from 6 to 3 seconds, Cooldown increased from 12 to 15 seconds, Movement Speed bonus reduced from 50% to 40%.

REWORK: The Black Vortex
-Now named Firestorm

-New Legendary effect: Gain Avatar of Fire while channeling Whirlwind.
-Existing "The Black Vortex" items will be updated to the new version.


The Ordained no longer grants Avatar of Fire while standing in your Consecration.

Meteor Forge - Increased the damage of Meteor Forge's special effect from 30% weapon damage to 50% weapon damage. Existing weapons will be updated to the new values.

[h3]STATS[/h3]
2-Handed weapons will now always roll Implicit and Crescendo mods at double strength, instead of just when they drop. This includes Twist of Fate rolls.

Magic Find's "per level" scaling reduced from 5% to 3%.
Reduced Sendatu's Magic Find passive from 5% per point to 3% per point.

[h3]ENEMIES[/h3]
Enemy health increased in multiplayer. Bosses unaffected.

[h2]IMPROVED[/h2]
Loot chests now have a chance to spawn Legendary items.

Improved Town performance - This probably won't be "fixed" for everyone yet, but it will definitely be better.

Changed the wording of talents which allow you to ignore weapon type requirements to be more clear.

Absolution can no longer be used outside of Town.

[h2]FIXED[/h2]
Fixed the semicolon key (;) crashing the entire game 100% of the time. Nice.

Fixed mod values not updating to new patch values. Now you can see your characters get nerfed in real time.

Fixed a bug where Whirlwind could animate only the top half of your body.

Fixed some teleport bugs and exploits in Arena maps.

Fixed some Steam achievements not working.

Fixed Leap Smash breaking characters in half during the leap.

Fixed a bug where meditating as a client could lock you out of your skills.

Fixed a bug where gold collected by clients would not be removed from the world.

Fixed a bug with the shop.

Fixed a bug where massive wolfpacks were possible. RIP wolfbois.

Fixed a bug where the Master volume slider was not functioning.

Fixed Firefly projectiles lingering in place.

Fixed Backspace opening a debugger.

Fixed a bug where the radial menu couldn't be used more than once.

Fixed a bug where allies appeared to be running through water.

Fixed items being accidentally added to stash while the stash was closed.

Fixed melee skill animations slowing down each time you used them.

Fixed a bug where legendary item effects could linger after unequipping the item.

Previously broken Legendary items should now be fixed.

Potential fix for difficulty icon not showing on clients

Potential fix for clients getting locked out of their skills - Let me know if this is still happening!

Potential fix for health bar showing that you still have health after dying.

Potential fix for screen losing color saturation permanently after being resurrected.

Legendary Update

New Legendaries, New Crafting Item, Rain of Arrows Skill, COD-style Danger Effects, More Enemy Health in Commander Difficulty, Important Fixes

NEW
  • New Legendary Items: 9 new Legendary weapons have been added to the global loot pool. Hunt them down wherever you like.
  • New Crafting Item: Last Word - Destroys an item and preserves its skill in a Dying Wish, which can apply the skill to another item. Cannot be used to preserve Legendary skills. Only available from the item shop for 5000g.
  • New Bow Skill: Rain of Arrows - Fire a marking arrow that calls down a hail of arrows where it impacts, dealing 200% weapon damage per second to all enemies in the area. Lasts for 2 seconds.
  • A new legendary has been added to Act 2's final boss with an extremely low drop rate.
  • COD-style red screen border when low on health, and the world loses its color when you die


BALANCE
  • Alcaeus: Bloodfury - Reduced the Attack Speed bonus per stack from 5% to 3%
  • Enemy health in Commander difficulty increased by ~20%
  • "Health Multiplier Per Player" boss change from last patch reverted to normal values.
  • Increased XP value of Act 2 boss.
  • Shockwave no longer applies Slow.


IMPROVED
  • Due to PETA complaints, minions are now gently nudged out of your way instead of being punted.
  • Updated Firebolt VFX.
  • Updated potion charge pickup model.


FIXED
  • Fixed a bug where aura effects were permanently applied.
  • Fixed a visual bug where Death Aura's visible radius was not updated by Sendatu: Broad Influnce.
  • Fixed a bug where legendary effects would sometimes not activate.
  • Fixed a bug where Death Aura could be used while wearing a helmet.
  • Fixed a bug where your summons' kills would not count as yours for stats.
  • Fixed a bug where you could not use Course Corrections on 2H melee weapons if they were in your inventory.
  • Fixed the placement of some bows.
  • Fixed more bugs with the trade interface.
  • Turned off debugging lines for Explosive Arrow.
  • Renamed the "Spell Damage" passive to "Staff and Focus Damage" for better clarity.

Resurrection, Immortality, and Death... of Crit.

BALANCE
Crit Chance and Crit Damage from equipment mods has been reduced by 50% :rip: . Crit Chance and Crit Damage from passive talents unaffected.

Supercrit multiplier reduced from 50% to 25%.
(Crit builds have been obscenely strong for a while. This should keep the game from becoming trivial.)

Increased the "Health Multiplier Per Player" of bosses by 50%. More players = even tankier bosses than before. Solo play unaffected.
