Update 0.11a

The game was just updated with version 0.11a:

Open world Updates:

  • new NPCs in Ertoron, previous NPCs have loot and names now, almost all buildings have interiors
  • An item intendants were added for factions of Mages (mage academy), Warriors (darklands border), Monastery (Cathedral in ertoron), Bandits (bandits camp in golden forest), Necromants (Placeholder merchant until necromants lair is added, located on the border between desert and swamps near the great wall)
  • Until faction quests aren't in theg ame, a placeholder way to increase reputation was added by donating gold
  • New improved base of warriors on the darklands border
  • All dungeons now have minimum level requirements


Dungeons mode updates
  • New enemies, enemies now progress visually and have new attacks
  • Enemies can become elite and have random afficses
  • You can now gather different items and give the to NPC merchant for different rewards
  • You can now hire mercenaries in dungeons mode so the charisma builds there are viable
  • Bows are added to the items pool, but this will unfortunately mean that some of your weapons might be messed up in your previous saves, sorry about that
  • Armor recipes were removed from dungeons


Other changes:

  • Stoneskin potion and sturgeon effects changed
  • Kick ability was removed from the game, and it was replaced with new passive called fencing
  • Whirlwind damage nerfed from 100% per hit to 60%
  • Lasso now correctly works on focused targets
  • Player being knocked down now has internal cooldown of 5 seconds, which means that you won't be able to be knocked down constantly
  • Fixed the bug with stray dog stacking rage endlessly
  • Most of the magic abilities now can crit and benefit from crit chance
  • Improved version of arcane bread now can be learned
  • Fixed a couple of small bugs

Update 0.109a

Hello everyone! New update 0.109a is here

New content

  • Added new dungeon - temple of ice and fire. This is the longest and, in my opinion, the best dungeon I made yet. Can't wait for you guys to check it out.
  • New quest in the royal mining site
  • Big changes to the dungeon mode. This will be the first part of the huge changes that will come to the dungeons mode in the next few months, to make it more replayable. So far changes include:
    • Loot now generates randomly (stats are still to be balanced), which unfortunately means that all previous loot you had in your dungeons playthroughs will be changed, and you won't be able to craft armor in dungeons mode.
    • Maximum level is increased up to 100
    • You now have additional talents tab for dungeons mode that will add to your base stats
    • Enemies are now scaled in power, instead of in numbers (number of enemies available is limited for now, and in teh future they will have randomized perks and behaviour)




Changes:
  • Armor and magic resistance is reduced on all items by 50%. This was done because it was fairly easy to get to the armor and magic resistance caps at level 15-20, which ofcourse is not great. Caps are increased from 80% to 90%
  • You cannot blink in the dungeons anymore
  • Pickpocketing only works on humans now
  • Rain of arrows now deals the same amount of damage over longer periods of time, and has a cooldown of 40 seconds
  • Explosive arrow now adds AOE radius to enchanted arrow, instead of replacing it.
  • Chance of enemies seeing you in stealth now depend on your agility
  • Now when you accidentally attack friendly NPCs, they won't attack you back right away, and will only start attacking you if their health is lower than 70%
  • Fixed a couple of small bugs


Gedonia has been in Early access for a month now, and I just wanted to say thank you all for your support you've been providing. The game is in much more stable state right now. I've been able to bring 3 regular content updates in this month (items upgrading, abandoned manor and this one), and I hope that I will be able to get to the 4 weekly updates per month in the future. The main storyline is still in deep development stage, so don't expect it anytime soon, but meanwhile expect a lot of cool stuff to be added.

Update 0.108c

The game was updated with version 0.108c
  • The way main stats influence damage outputs is changed, now stats influence your damage more heavily, for example previously you had 80% melee damage with 0 strength, and 120-130% damage with 4 strength, now you will have 50% melee damage with 0 strength, and 140% damage with 4 strength. This is done to make choice more impactful and also make going up to 4 for any stat more attractive.
  • Attack speed now shows in full descriptions while creating a character
  • Powerful strike and whirlwind strike correctly knock enemies down when using maces
  • Added ladders with different rotations in house building
  • Added shaman herbs for selling in dungeons mode
  • Added a little teaser for a new dungeon in endless fields, and entrance which is not active yet. The dungeon is called the temple of ice and fire (no, it's not a game of thrones reference ;) )
  • Spirit bear's health and da,age is reduced by about 25% and it is now has 120 sec cooldown
  • Arcane bread health and mana restore values increased
  • Some chests in the desert and volflar now require a key from the enemies that guard it
  • Fixed arcane skill requirements for mana bonus passive
  • Fixed few bugs with new quests and new dungeon
  • Fixed few minor bugs

Update 0.108b

The game was updated with version 0.108b

  • Fixed collision and comoanion AI bugs in abandoned manor dungeon
  • Fixed the bug when copanions pushed player when they were teleporting to him
  • Fixed the bug when horse didn't summon sometimes
  • Fixed the bug with the camera in new quest
  • Fixed the bug when summoned skeletons didn't die after 30 seconds sometimes
  • Character damage stats now correctly shown when using two daggers
  • Fixed few minor bugs

Update 0.108a - New dungeon, new quest, world bosses, other stuff

The game was just updated with version 0.108a:



New Content:
  • New dungeon added to the game - abandoned manor, which is located near Royal Lake in endless fields. This is the first of the two dungeons planned for this zone, and it is currently the hardest content in the game right now.
  • Two new quests added, in Fayreach and in Ertoton (second one will be activated after the first one). Finishing the second one will allow you to get new companion, but the companion himself will be added later. There will be an option to add new companion after the second quest, but the companion himself will be added later.
  • World bosses added to the game. They are quite tough, and marked on your map. Right now there are 6 bosses in the game (two in desert and in volflar aren't marked because maps of the locations aren't in the game yet)
  • New passive ability for Banditry skill tree - backstabbing. It will allow you to deal huge damage with first attack from the stealth




Other changes:

  • All hidden item chests in desert and volflar fields are now guarded with packs of high-level enemies
  • Increased movement speed stat on most items which has it, items now correctly show +attack speed stat on them
  • Overall damage on all best items is decreased about 10%
  • Archmage set stats recalculated
  • Dark scream now has 40 sec cooldown and deals much lower damage. Healing is still the same
  • Companions health and damage slightly nerfed
  • Overall damage on all best items is decreased about 10%
  • Meat, Baked ribs, tender meat and dishes now have shared buff, and you can't use them for healing if this effect is already applied
  • Obelisk blessing now gives 5% attack speed instead of 20%
  • Every additional farm in the house of the same type will increase price of it's building drastically.
  • Increased accuracy of enemies hitting you
  • Immovability buffed, it now adds 20 knock resistance instead of 10
  • You now require 3 agility to wield dual daggers
  • Shield block ability now cannot be broken randomly, has improved radius of blocking and drains stamina with every block
  • Fixed a bunch of other small bugs
