Wild Terra 2 - Roadmap 2021



Thanks to everyone who supports Wild Terra 2, especially those who supported us from the earliest stages! It is thanks to you that we have come this long way. There are many more new features and improvements in the game ahead of us.

  • Improving Cooking. Long and effective buffs from high-level food. Limiting raw food and increasing the value of cooked food. Tools (pans, ladles, rolling pins). More secret recipes.
  • Improving Fishing. More interest and greater clarity. The division into different types of reservoirs with various inhabitants (including fishing in the dungeons). The size of the catch. More valuable catch.
  • Dungeon difficulty levels. Before entering the dungeon, you can choose the difficulty level. The harder it is, the more valuable the reward.
  • New content for farming. More crops and selection, the ability to grow trees, indoor plants. New tools and buildings.
  • Improving the combat system (in several stages). New abilities. Increase the power of the Knives. Improved balance. Slow bolas and traps. Development of cooperative interaction in PvP and PvE. The role of a pronounced Tank and Support will appear. The tank will take more incoming damage in battle, quickly rush into the center of the fight, and attract monsters' attention to itself. Support will remove negative effects from allies, bandage wounds, and impose various weakening on opponents.
  • Upgrade exotic items. Several levels of upgrade, the further, the better the characteristics and unique properties. Adding a valuable resource to the game is universal for the latest upgrade levels of all exotic items.

  • Seaport town. A place for trade and sailing to other lands. New NPCs.
  • New continent. Territories with unexplored places, inhabitants, and resources. Spaces for settlements.
  • Auction. Convenient sale and purchase, search and sorting.
  • Large individuals and large deposits. It will be possible to meet a larger representative of each type of animal and monster. He's more dangerous, but the reward is better. You'll also find large resources.
  • More passive bonuses for peaceful skills. Several passive bonuses for each peaceful skill.
  • Mini dungeons. Small dungeons with random generation for one player. The entrance will appear at a random location in the game world.
  • Half-timbered parts. Parts for the construction of classic medieval houses. The new parts will be fully compatible with the logs.

  • First Season launch. More unexplored biomes. Territories with new rules, quests, and rewards.
  • New types of weapons and skills. Two-handed weapons, throwing bombs, crossbows, and more.
  • NPC quests and daily rewards. Daily quests with rewards. Mining resources and help NPCs.
  • More varied bosses. You will need unique tactics and quickly adapt to changing conditions.
  • Livestock. Breeding of farm animals. Cattle and small animals, birds, and insects.
  • Diseases and epidemics. Distributable diseases with negative effects. Treatment and consequences.
  • Alchemy. Craft unique ingredients for other production skills, as well as potions and decoctions.

Update 2.0.269. Mute player and other chat options, new places to settle



Added a button to ignore all messages from the player in the chat, the ability to copy the text of messages, invite the sender to a group or guild. Thanks to the sound notification, you will no longer miss a private message. And now there are more places to settle on Mainland!

New features and improvements
- Now, when you click on a message in the chat, you have the opportunity: mute player (ignore all messages from him), copy the text of the message, write a private message to the sender, invite to your group or guild.
- Added notification sound for private chat messages.
- On Mainland, some territories were freed up for settlements.
- Discord and Wiki buttons are now displayed in the game menu (by pressing Esc).

Fixes
- The walls of the cemetery are now blocking arrows and other projectiles.
- Fixed shooting through walls in the "Dwarven fortress" dungeon.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes could cause incomplete loading of items into containers when restarting the server.
- Fixed a bug due to which, when disconnecting from the server at the time of the completion of a trade operation, the money for the deal was sometimes not transferred.
- Fixed a bug due to which satiety was not reset if you die and disconnect from the server while in the dungeon.
- Fixed resource spawning in most inaccessible locations on Starting Island and Mainland.
- On Mainland, sharp corners of precipices near the water have been smoothed, now the transitions to water are smoother.

Hotfix 2.0.268

With this update, server restart will be accompanied by special warnings 5 minutes before server restart. If you try to connect to the server at the time of its restart, the corresponding messages will be displayed.

Fixes and improvements
- When dying in a dungeon, you will no longer be thrown out. Now, you appear at the beginning of the location. Resurrection waiting time in dungeons increased to 20 seconds. The waiting time for resurrection in other places has been increased to 10 seconds.
- Now, if a player loses the connection to the server inside the dungeon and logs into the game, he will appear before entering with the Appearance effect.
- When opening godsends or chests in dungeons, the disappearance timer does not work on them. You can no longer lose their content over time.
- Fixed a bug of trading between players, allowing you to change items in the trade window by moving items inside the inventory.
- Fixed a bug that occurred on the server when attacking a pet.
- Fixed a bug due to which the effects of the weapon in the right hand were applied when hitting with a shield.
- Now any charges and withdrawals of money are immediately synchronized with the database at the time of the transaction, which protects them from desynchronization when the server restarts.
- Fixed a rare bug due to which the amount of money in the inventory or prices on some resolutions were not visible or displayed incorrectly.
- Optimized methods related to throwing, dropping items on the ground, and picking them up.
- Fixed a bug due to which the Appearance effect did not subside if the character continued to move towards the selected target.
- Fixed display of the timer for effects and skill cooldowns, now the value 0 should not appear there if the time is less than a second.
- Fixed the error NetworkIdentity netId not found causing increased FPS.

Update 2.0.267. Protecting peaceful players and freeing up space on Main Land



The timers for the long absence of players have been reduced so that space for new dominiums is quickly freed up. We remind you that in case of a long absence you will not lose anything, your dominium with all the buildings and contents of the warehouses will be packed into your inventory.
Introduced measures to protect peaceful players from griefers, sprout timers are now saved, and servers are working even faster!

Fixes and improvements
- Now the absence time before auto-packing of the dominium on the continent is 3, 6 and 10 days (basic, medium, large, respectively). Timers have been reduced to prevent inactive players from taking up space on the Continent.
- Now, if you lose consciousness from the actions of another player in a peaceful zone, you will receive a temporary effect “Tranquility”, in which you do not take damage from other players until you start attacking them yourself or enter the danger zone.
- Now sprouts keep their timers even if the server is restarted.
- The watered Cereals stage is now more visible.
- Changed the hotkey for the action of demolishing a building in edit mode, and the action itself is now displayed in red to avoid accidental deletion by mistake.
- Increased the distance at which catching animals is triggered.
- Fixed a bug due to which it was possible to transfer Dominium stones and a log shed to the upper floors and foundations.
- Fixed a bug due to which it was possible to transfer a hut and a stone foundation to the upper floors and foundations.

We re-launched this section to tell you about what we are working on at the moment, news about our team, and plans.

Wild Terra 2 is created by a small team of very passionate people. Projects of this scale, as a rule, are developed by teams much larger than ours, and with only four people in the team - develop Wild Terra 2 to Early Access was really difficult! Now the team will grow to develop the game even faster!

In addition to solving technical problems, we are working on adding the Map, chat moderation tools, all rewards from additional packs, and new music. We are also making further plans to present you with an updated roadmap.

Last time, we did not manage to complete all the points from the declared roadmap. Game development is a complex process. Sometimes, along the way, you have to spend a lot of time improving what has already been created or encounter difficulties, the solution of which will take much longer than the expected time. We will try to treat the compilation of the new roadmap as responsibly as possible and take into account many nuances that we will have to face.

Map
We will add the Map to the game soon. It will be divided into global (showing all islands and continents) and local (map of a specific continent). On the local Map, in addition to your current location, you can see the mark of your dominium, positions of your group members, the ship, the last place of death. We will also make it possible to add our own mark, the direction to which will be shown in the game.
