The Falconeer Nominated for BAFTA Games award!

The Falconeer has been nominated in the Debut Game category by the British Academy Games Awards (BAFTA Games Awards) 2021!

The British Academy Games Awards celebrate the very best in video games while honouring outstanding creative achievement in the video game industry.

The Falconeer has only been with us now for a matter of months, but the incredible world we were introduced to in November, and Tomas constant updates that are building it bigger and better every time see it thoroughly deserving of a place in this category and it is an honour to have our warbirds (and dragons!) nominated alongside the rest of these debutant games!

There's a brand new patch out now for The Falconeer, aimed at streamlining the prologue and making the start of the game a better experience for new players!

Full patch notes are as follows :

[h2]Prologue Changes[/h2]

  • Fixed wrong button prompt in prologue targeting
  • Button prompts now blink in prologue
  • Trying to land in prologue now shows warning that feature is locked in current chapter
  • Prologue balloon shooting removed completely
  • Prologue bombing removed completely
  • Bombing tutorial added to Dunkle


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Paths to Shard mission where cargo would get shot off, and player couldn't pick up now fixed
  • Mosaur skin glitch fixed
  • Fly ahead prompt forcibly deactivated on fly home
  • Fixed random progress on several achievements when first starting the game


[h2]UI Updates[/h2]
  • Landing and fly ahead moved into the screen safe zone
  • Text size in settings menu increased
  • Text size in controller menu increased

[h2]Gameplay Changes[/h2]
  • Small dead-zone created for the dive maneuver, to prevent accidental dives.
  • In easy mode every pot recharges when landing, in normal every pot only at your home, and in hardcore only pyro pots recharge only at your home.

Patch 1.3.4.0 Is Now Live

The brand new patch for The Falconeer is now available to download on Steam - featuring a host of UI updates, better GPU detection, water shader performance and much more!



[h2]Gameplay Changes[/h2]
  • You won't be punished for friendly fire in the prologue
  • Red and green ammo can overcharge in storms
  • Prologue charging tutorial will work with coloured ammo and not block
  • Intercept force after friendly fire only spawns when near a perch/settlement
  • Intercept force spawns is based on the last killed enemy if you are civilian


[h2]UI[/h2]
  • Map/compass guidance always pops in after some distance from it
  • Save/load indicator moved to the left
  • Some of the worst offending text sizes scaled up (main menu, settings, shop and item names)
  • Landing indicator is now centred at the top of screen


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Pirate ships can no longer take the mawbridge >northgate route that led them past the prologue area
  • Charging from red or green ammo now correctly changes the ammo count from these upgraded pots.
  • Game-time slowing to 50% when landed prevented.
  • Buying your old bird back now refunds the proper amount, default birds refund zero
  • The miraculous survival chant now can't lead to a half-dead situation where the camera de-locks upon death
  • Windows version now forces the use of the dedicated GPU rather than the default on-board GPU. (for instance on laptops with two
