v0.4.2.1 PTR Patch notes

[h3]General Changes:[/h3]
- Memory usage: the way characters are handled in memory has been changed
- Memory usage: The 'wisp' system has been tweaked for more efficient memory usage

[h3]Guilds:[/h3]
- Guild Name character limits have been changed to 2-24 Chars
- Custom Guild Roles will now display properly for all guild members
- Guild Message will not display properly for all guild guild members
- Roles ranged permission to change Guild Message can now do so
- Guild names should no longer temporarily disappear when exiting the dungeon


[h3]PTR Known issues:[/h3]
- NEW guild members must relog to see updated roles and guild messages
- Shield Bash causes Sound FX issues on mobs when used
- The first slot in the backpack is in full goof mode, use with caution
- The glider has incorrect texture
- Entering the dungeon changes volume of Party chat
- The volume sliders in the Voip codex UI do not work correctly
- Mic volume slider is sensitive

[h3]Things to test:[/h3]
- Guilds in general.
- Memory Cleanup! The memory changes we have made in this build should reduce memory issues.

v0.4.2 PTR Patch notes

[h3]Gameplay & Features: [/h3]
- v1 of the Guild system has been added to Ilysia!
- Players can now buy a Guild Writ from the Tidehaven guild master for 1g, and form a Guild in their Codex Guild tab
- Guild leaders can customize roles and permissions, and promote, kick, or manage members from the Guild tab in the Codex once formed
- Players with the appropriate permission can invite others to join their Guild by interacting with them
- Players can accept or decline guild invitations
- The XP and Looting rights system has been overhauled: Players/Parties now 'tag' mobs for XP/Drops when attacking
- If a mob has been 'tagged' by another player/group, it will have a yellow health bar
- XP is now split in parties between members based on the levels of the party members
- XP is no longer awarded to party members who do not participate in combat
- XP is no longer awarded to party members who are too far away

[h3]General Fixes & Adjustments:[/h3]
- Players should no longer load in 'invisible' and unable to move
- Fixed a bug where players could load into another player who disconnected when changing maps
- Party and Guild members will now show on the Waydar
- A toggle has been added to Comfort Settings to enable or disable the on screen Health HUD
- Entering an instance will no longer break party mechanics for looting
- Quest items will now drop for party members regardless of other members' quest status
- Player kinematics have been updated for smoother movement when walking, running, turning the head, and squatting
- Adding a Friend to your party will no longer cause UI issues on your Friends list
- Weapons and equipment will no longer interact with other objects while holstered
- Party members will properly show in Codex when in a party
- Cloth armor gloves from Trogre should no longer cause hands to become invisible
- Entering water will now transition to swimming/diving more smoothly
- More critter class animals have been added to Lavea

[h3]Combat:[/h3]
- The core armor system has been overhauled: Armor Class and its effectiveness now scale correctly, with a damage reduction cap of 45%
- When using a shield, melee weapons will now generate additional threat
- Shields will now start fully charged when first equipped
- All shields now recharge 20% faster
- Shields will now correctly recharge while holstered

[h3]Quests:[/h3]
- Quest markers should no longer appear in the middle of the ocean if they're in an instance
- The spatula and bowl requirement from the Toka Bell quest chain has been removed

[h3]Class Skills:[/h3]
- Shield bash has been overhauled to use a natural outward swing
- Shield bash now properly damages the target
- Shield bash now properly acts as a spell interrupt
- Shield bash now properly stuns the target
- Stun arrow now properly stuns the target

[h3]Mobs & Encounters:[/h3]
- Elite mobs have had their difficulty reduced

[h3]UI & Graphics:[/h3]
- The Codex's general UI elements have been reformatted for consistency
- Player shadows (PCVR) will now include the player head/helm

[h3]Known Issues:[/h3]
- Guild messages set by leader are not visible to other members
- Roles granted permission to edit Guild Message are not able to save message
- Custom role titles set by the Guild Leader are not visible to other members
- Parties entering the dungeon may have to reset their voip devices in the codex
- VOIP Codex UI is not resetting correctly when joining guilds, entering dungeons, or resetting Vivox
- When an mob is stunned, audio hit effects will repeat for a short time

Hotfix 0.4.1.2

We've received many reports from players having various issues with logging in. After a week of internal testing and working with some members of the community to gather info we have made some changes to help clean up broken characters that might get left on the server when a login breaks or is canceled before it can finish being set up. We will continue to investigate server logs to monitor future occurrences. If you experience any odd behavior when logging in, or any inability to play, please report it to us on discord!

General Fixes:
- Players should no longer leave nameplates behind when broken.
- Players should no longer be able to take control of a broken character left lingering on the server.
- Players should no longer receive the "already logged in" message caused by a character being stranded on the server in an broken state.

[h3]General Fixes:[/h3]
- Various spells that didn't have a projectile have them again
- Fixed a race condition that could break parties and player logout when multiple players leave a server simultaneously
- Fixed an error that could prevent players from being listed in Voice Settings of the Social tab
- Added missing loot to loot tables of mobs in the Trogre dungeon
- Fireball does AoE damage again
- Fixed party voice chat
- Player mouths will move when the player is speaking again

[h3]Known issues:[/h3]
- Entering a dungeon prevents joining area voice channels, including the Lavea area channel. Relaunching the game is required to rejoin Lavea area chat.

[h3]Gameplay & Features:[/h3]
- Player 'wisps' should now reset correctly
- Quest items will now drop for all party members on the same quest
- Players mouths will now move when speaking in VOIP
- Players will receive a message and be unable to loot when their backpack is full
- Players will no longer have movement speed reduced when their backpack is full
- Stamina is no longer consumed when sprinting outside of combat
- Movement speed while moving backwards (backpedaling) has been reduced
- Sprint speed had been slightly reduced
- The glider has had it's glide speed increased
- The glider will properly reset it's velocity when opened

[h3]Combat:[/h3]
- Base player health per level has been increased
- Ranged attacks on mobs in melee range will now properly hit
- The range at which a mob can hit a player who has run away has been reduced
- Mobs will now properly turn to face the direction they are attacking
- Holding a weapon will disable swimming input while underwater
- Visual indicators when a mob is hit will now display properly
- Shields will no longer reset heat when holstered

[h3]Quests:[/h3]
- Potions and Food items have been added to several quests as rewards
- Random ocean POI for quests have been removed

[h3]Class Skills:[/h3]
- Skill Descriptions should more accurately match the current skill effects
- Healing skills now correctly apply threat during combat
- Warden bow skills have had their visual effects applied to arrows
- Warden bow skills have had their damage increased
- Arcane bolt has had it's base damage increased
- Smite has had it's base damage increased
- Martial 'Stone Skin' skill no applies the correct amount of Armor

[h3]Professions & Crafting:[/h3]
- Cooking: Commoners Seafood Plater recipe has been fixed
- Cooking: Glowing Viperfish recipe has been fixed
- Armorsmithing: Forged plate boots have been fixed

[h3]Mobs & Encounters:[/h3]
- The Trogre has had his loot table fixed
- Critters should no longer have armor or do mob class damage
- Bandits have had their agro distance reduced
- Elite trash packs in the Quarry dungeon will now respawn on 30m timers
- Stefan has been told to calm down.

[h3]UI & Graphics:[/h3]
- New 'hit' effects have been added when damaging a mob
- Critical hits now have a unique visual effect
- Blocked attacks now have a unique visual effect

[h3]General Fixes & Adjustments:[/h3]
- Several pieces of later game gear have been removed from early drop tables
- Room scale movement has been disabled when loading reducing 'falling' through map when loading
- Weapons in hand will auto hide when climbing
- Rotation direction on Wardrobe character has been fixed
- Gloves/Arms should no longer disappear during climbing
- Several mob nameplates have been moved to the correct position
- Several mob target indicators have been moved to the correct position
- Climbing platforms should no longer interact poorly with ziplines
- More merchants have been added to Lavea
- A new comfort option to allow double tapping trigger to load basic wand/staff attack has been added - Note: Rune drawing has a 0.5s delay when this option is enabled.
- Training dummies have been added near the Tidehaven skill nexus
- Players will no longer be able to walk through the Toka Bell cart
- Treasure chests no longer have nameplates

[h3]Known issues:[/h3]
- Stacking quick slot items is broken
- You should do at least 1 damaging attack to get on a mob's loot table if healing full time.
- Memory cleanup is still being worked on
