Version 1.5.3.8: 3 new Conquest maps!

The battle has escalated to new territories...

Kraken keep, the Lunar Lands and a group of Robinson islands have now become new theatres of war. Grab your cutlass, there are new islands to conquer!

[h3]Conquest improvements:[/h3]
  • Conquest pre-game player limit raised to 20
  • Bomb launcher price increased from 1k to 1.2k
  • Leave game button added to team select screen
  • You can now repair masts of other friendly fleet ships
  • You now see mast health widget of other friendly fleet ships
  • Health bar now also appears in fleet color when you are in vehicle


[h3]Bug fixes:[/h3]
  • Dedicated BR mode now again allows 4 players per crew
  • Mortar trajectory VFX brightness fixed
  • Conquest flags no longer appear as metal flags (sorry metal heads! :( )
  • You can no longer farm gold by repairing masts when they are already at max HP
  • Fixed a bug that caused steering wheels on ships in conquest to appear as max level but work as basic level. Now they add increased rotation speed as intended

Version 1.5.3.7: Conquest improvements

Some improvements and bug fixes for the new experimental conquest mode!

[h3]Conquest rewards:[/h3]
  • Rewards are now working on the experimental conquest mode (4 items for all players on winning fleet, 2 for players on losing fleet)


[h3]Conquest improvements:[/h3]
  • Fleets can no longer have more than 10 players
  • Ship crew sizes increased from 4 to 5
  • Ship limit changed to 2 ships per crew instead of 3 ships per crew
  • Weapon prices tweaked (mostly lowered)
  • Default player spawn resources reduced
  • Fleets can now only have 1 player more than opposing fleet
  • Destroyed ships now deplete 350 tickets instead of 250
  • Bomb vessel mortar cannon is now base level instead of fully upgraded
  • Fleet allies can no longer cork friendly ships
  • Fleet allies can now insta take resources and use the water pump on friendly ships


[h3]New conquest additions:[/h3]
  • Flags now have a small visible flag icon that can be seen in the world from everywhere
  • Enemy ships now have a red outline
  • Actionbar now same color as the fleet you are in (red or blue)


[h3]Bug fixes:[/h3]
  • You can now open the scoreboard and ingame menu while in the loadout screen
  • Fixed multiple flag capture sounds playing at the same time, now only one can play at a time
  • Conquest games that are no longer in pregame now reserve the servers which will spawn extra ones when all servers are full

Update 1.5.3: Experimental Conquest Game Mode

Ahoy lads!

In the last year we've ventured far and wide, but the time has come to explore a new horizon. Today we would like to introduce our next step into new uncharted waters.

During the last few weeks we've been working on a new game mode that should hopefully bring a more casual shooting ground into the world of Blazing Sails. Battle Royale is fun and all, but sometimes a pirate just wants to.. you know.. kill and destroy. Now you'll be able to do just that! No more forehead melting, nail biting stakes that kick you out of the game once ye olde floating tub goes down. In our new (experimental) Conquest game mode you can just join, kill, destroy, capture and repeat a whole match long without the fear of being kicked out when your floaty float sinks to the ocean floor. The ideal game mode to practice your pirating skills or just have some good old destructive fun!

Note however that the new Conquest game mode is not finished yet and is still in an experimental phase. If you wish to have a more bug free, balanced experience it's still advised to play the Battle Royale mode. We'll be constantly updating and improving the conquest mode over the following weeks and months. So please leave all your feedback in our discord under the #feedback channel to help us shape this game mode into the ultimate pirate battle experience.

We've got another update for you pirates who like to get real fancy. In this week's update we've added pirate spectacles, pipes, earrings, piercings, rings and more fancy high boots! So collect those fancy extra's to show those under-dressed landlubbers what a true fashion legend looks like!

  • Cork upgrade pickup added to random items in Tier 3 (Rare)


[h3]Gameplay tweaks:[/h3]
  • Swivel cannon upgrade random amount changed from 1-1 to 1-2
  • Cannon upgrade random amount changed from 1-1 to 1-2
  • Bomb Vessel Mortar minimum range increased so a safe zone now exists around the Bomb Vessel that other ships can use to board without being bombarded
  • Swivel cannons on the bomb vessel now only show the ammo type they can fire instead of grayed out icons

Version 1.5.0.5: Wood amount and anti-cannon tweaks

A small additional hotfix to balance out some things:

[h3]Gameplay tweaks:[/h3]
  • Random anti-cannon shot drop amount increased from 1 to 2-3
  • Anti-cannon chains now have 70 hp instead of 50 hp
  • Anti-Sail cannonballs have been moved back to tier 2 and their random amount increased from 5-15 to 10-20
  • Regular cannonball random spawn amount reduced from 10-20 to 5-15
  • Random wood amount increased from 5-20 to 15-30


[h3]Visual tweaks:[/h3]
  • Light flares on lamps improved


[h3]Bug fixes:[/h3]
  • Fixed a bug with the default junk sail LODS
