v0.20.7 - New armor, items, fixes and polish

To get this update, you have to opt in inside your library:
Necesse -> Properties -> Betas -> Select 0.20.x in dropdown.

Reminder: It's recommended to back up your saves when playing on experimental version. You can do so in game on the load menu.

This update adds some new items, new armor system and a bunch of fixes, tweaks and polish. I haven't been able to pump out as much content this week, since I've been working on stuff behind the scenes that will help in implementing new mechanics/features later on.

The new armor system changes how damage reduction of armor is calculated.
This means some pieces will give more/less armor, but the damage taken should be about the same as previously.

You may have noticed I've been releasing an update every weekend, and I plan to keep doing that every friday from now on.

Big thanks to Ghost, who's been helping out with creating new and updating textures in the game.

Added buff when close to settlement flags that reduces mob spawns.
Added spawn message for ancient vulture when spawned via breaking totem.

Rebalanced a bunch of mobs damage due to new armor damage reduction.
Changed traveling NPC arrive message to "is arriving".
Bosses now have some slow resistance against Polar Claw.
Spirit mobs will now render the eyes in darkness, so you can see them coming.
Changed boss spawn item recipes to use demonic bars.
Increased Elderly Wand damage.
Improved desync issues for homing projectiles.
Made you able to place floors on top of snow.
Settlers and villagers will now always close doors they open, unless players is in the way.
Updated all flower and seed textures.

Fixes:
Fixed tool damage enchantments not working correctly.
Fixed ninja mobs teleporting too far away.
Fixed spawn message for ancient vulture not showing up for all players on level.
Fixed bucket picking up water or other tiles when using it.
Fixed desync issues with doors, switches etc.
Fixed desync issues when placing water near lava.
Fixed ancient vulture not counting as a boss in stats.
Fixed some issues with health/combat desync.
Fixed server errors when clients were using ladders.

And a bunch of other minor changes and fixes.
0.20.6 was a small hotfix for a crash involving the tutorial.

v0.20.5 - New tech, ores, more max HP

This update adds a completely new tech tier, new cave system with new ores, mobs and items. To get to this new cave system, you have to start by killing the Pirate Captain. If you've already done this, you'll have to find a new one to kill.



Next update will focus on adding some more end game content that uses these new items, max HP etc.

Many objects have gotten a texture update and can now be rotated in all directions. This required some reworks to object rotations, so many of your objects will likely be rotated and have to be replaced. If you're not ready for this change, I have created a new beta branch that runs on 0.20.4. You can opt into it the same way you opted into this version.

Demonic workstation can now craft anything from regular workstation.
Quartz set bonus now also ignores the hit.
You can now no longer mouse over yourself to see health and name.
Increased stack size of many items.
Pirate Captain will now spawn a ladder to deep caves when defeated.
Did some experimental changes to projectiles. They should now be less likely to desync.
Slightly increased damage of Ancient Vulture boss.
Significantly reduced teleport sickness time.

Fixes:
Fixed placement preview being offset with interface size.
Fixed walking animation speed of polar bears.
Fixed spawn house being placed on top of liquid resulting in it being destroyed on tile update.
Fixed not being able to place objects on top of pets.
Fixed quick and clumsy trinket enchantments being reversed.
Fixed buttons sometimes not in focus when hovering over them.

v0.20.4 - Interface size, new boss

To get this update, you have to opt in inside your library:

This update brings interface sizing, a new boss and a bunch of content mainly focused on the desert biome/cave. If you don't want any spoilers, I recommend to stop reading here and just find a new desert cave to explore!

Items will now never despawn, instead there's a limit of 500 per map.
Increased arrow stack size to 1000.

Fixed cave chests rooms sometimes overlapping.
Fixed sorting of full inventory deleting last item.
Fixed missing swampgrass locale key.
Fixed weapon enchantments not working.
Fixed health number flickering during regeneration.
Fixed sounds sometimes not playing when they're being played elsewhere.
Fixed sounds rarely playing really loud.

I will start to add more biome exclusive content, mobs, items etc. both underground and on the surface.
Note: Will you have to generate new caves for these new cave biomes to show up and generation will likely still change in future updates.

This update may have made your settlers disappear from the minimap. To fix this, refresh them by locking the room to the same settler.

v. 0.20.2 was a small hotfix for an issue with setting spawn inside the dungeon.
