Combat Alpha Patch Notes 0.0.0.5

Added:

  • Added option for using video settings recommended for your PC.
  • Added inital stats page, it's not perfect or all working but it's there.
  • Added a lot of new tooltips.
  • Added Khurite Splinted armor.
  • Added Khurite Splinted armor to the character creation.
  • Added beards.
  • Added some minor death partciles when the skeleton gets removed.
  • Chat now supports a lot more characters not just basic English characters.
  • /? will now start showing a list of commands. /? will give further information about that command.
  • You now see leaderboards when finishing the melon track. There are still some issues with this, they take a long time to come up and the times are not show only your placement.
  • Added Field of View settings.
  • AddedEquipment hits.
  • Equip hits on weapons now removes durability from the weapon you hit.


Changes:

  • You can now chose to have hair or beards in the character creation. Old characters do not have hair or beard by default.
  • /time should now show time in a better way.
  • Made UI tabs prettier in character sheet.
  • Improved placement of NPCs to have them use navmesh rather then collision.
  • Applying resolution has been tweaked to be less confusing.
  • Updated shoulder protection on Tindremic Knight armor.
  • Updated hip protection on Mercenary armor.
  • Removed the stun timer when changing weapons.


Fixes:

  • Fixed minor UI issues in the login screen.
  • Fixed issue where tooltips would disapear if you hovered something and got hit.
  • Fixed issue with dropping UI on other UI removing the UI.
  • Fixed issues with tooltips in message boxes not being the correct class.
  • The suicide button in the paperdoll will now update it's text even if the paperdoll is open when you die.
  • Chat no longer shows "there's" as "there''s".

Combat Alpha Patch Notes 0.0.0.3

  • Updated particles that might have caused a crash.
  • You can now enlarge the paperdoll to get a better view.
  • Made the chat more readable.
  • Optimized server code to decrease delta time on the server.
  • Upgraded engine to 4.25
  • Change sky solution to Epic's and updated how it works.
  • Combat animations are now replicated with better synchronization.
  • Added Mercenary armor as new starting equipment.

  • Added day/night this is a early version and we would love to get feedback from our alpha testers on it.
  • Added more screen resolutions.
  • You can write /time in the chat to see the current time of day to better report issues on give feedback.
  • Current time of day is running at a very high speed for testing.
  • Damage reduction correction on arms and lower body

  • Last combat target stays focused until a new is targeted or you move too far from the target.

  • Added new experimental click-drag input option for mouse attack/block direction. Find it under Settings > Gameplay > Click-Drag Directional Input (Experimental). A longer description can be found when hovering the mouse over the setting.
  • Updated priests to use new character generation backend. (we test it on the priests first before moving on to the player characters)
  • Bug fix: Mercy mode would not return to the previous state on recovery
  • Bug fix: Character would get stuck in charge when entering mercy mode
  • Bug fix: Camera post process would be disabled after the player resurrects
  • Bug fix: A counter (parry) would play a double attack
  • Bug fix: Shadows cast from torches would display shadow bias artifacts
  • Bug fix: Camera got stuck in a slow motion state in character preview login screen

  • Rebuilt parts of UI to hopefully fix the escape key crash
  • Fixed crash related to respawning characters
  • Sorted out issues with login server to make login smoother
  • Changed mouse sensitivity to better numbers
  • Fixed rare crash caused by targeting NPCs
  • Fixed issues with players taking HP damage due to hunger
  • Clicking logout now closes the game menu

  • Fixed issue with players taking damage upon resurrecting

  • Added so swings are slightly faster during a counter
  • Parrying now spares the defender from all the damage

#Known issues:
  • Player animations can get stuck when they enter mercy mode, we tried to solve this during the day but failed in time 🙁 We will get this sorted asap
