Revita - The Beasts and Bees update is now available!

Hi everyone!

The Beasts and Bees update is now available!! It wasn't planned to bee this big but we can't stop our lead dev Ben! We really hope you'll enjoy it!

Don't forget to write or update your review. Your feedback will help us to get the game even better for the next update!

  • [h3]Quality of life:[/h3]

- Added Stat popups
- Added an in-run indicator to show what shard you are on
- Adjusted pickup collection range
- Added offscreen gate indicator
- Added an exit game button to the pause menu
- Added the possibility to jump while ascending
- Added a visual effect for when your sub weapon recharges
- Added an indicator, for when are on low FPS
- Made it so certain relics and pickups will not spawn in the final area
- Added the option to skip to the end of dialogue by double tapping
- Charmed Enemy bullets will now glow blue
- Added a quick restart option in the death screen
- Added a save and quit option at the end of areas
- The Imprisoned now shows you how many relics, out of how many, you have already unlocked
- The death screen now shows what shard you are on
- The shard selection menu now shows you how many wins in succession you have on each shard
- Relics that would be useless to get in the last area, wont pop up in the last area anymore



  • [h3]Tweaks:[/h3]

- Changed Area 1 chests to only cost half a heart
- Reworked offering statues
- Reworked secret rooms
- Reworked Blacksmith costs (now also scaling with relic rarity)
- Increased soul gain without the chainmeter unlocked
- Increased enemy room size to encourage/force more movement
- Soul reward at the end of a run is now rounded upwards
- Added an indicator for Angers dig attack
- Added some overall tweaks to Angers fight
- The Chest lottery doesn't reward you with souls anymore
- Removed unnecassery status fx from bosses
- Rebalanced Hat rarity!
- Tweaked the appearence rate of special rooms
- Getting punished by the shop will now keep the price increase till the end of the run
- NPC audio samples don't directly repeat anymore
- Additional hp that would otherwise be wasted (from HP pickups, or healing), will now be converted to max hp
- You can now offer all your max hp at the blacksmith
- Range is now also affected by shot speed
- Weapons can not charge themselves by hitting enemies anymore
- Enemy bullets now disappear after a certain distance
- The Maggots thrown out my Mama Maggots on death, don't fly as high anymore.
- Improved pathfinding

  • [h3]Relics Buff:[/h3]

- Thorny rose, make it attack every enemy in the room
- Damaged ammo now also works on enemy impact
- Big bullet also increases damage slightly.
- Open Lock: Increased effect by 10%
- Knight's Helmet: Increased effect by 10%
- Lil' Chest: Chance for chests to appear now also increases with upgrades.
- Scratch Ticket: Increased chance for shops to be free by a lot.
- Red Die: Now lets you reroll shop relics up to 3 times (depending on level) without the cost increasing.
- Poker chip: Reduced damage decrease by 10% aswell as increased the "actual" critrate increase by 10% (previous number was buggy and was pretty much just a 10% crit increase)
- Tri Ragnarok: Will not trigger while enemies are invincible anymore
- Miracle: Increased chance of occuring
- Slimeball: Resets range on bounce now.
- Health Flask: Health recovery is now rounded up.
- Weights: Trajectory now dependant on range. Now also increases damage slightly.
- Solar Fragment: Range slightly increased
- Propulsion Exhaust: Slightly decreased firerate decrease
- Mighty leek: Crit chance increased by 5%
- Mini Missile: Damage increased from 20% to 30% of your damage
- Heart Lunchbox: Overall chance increased by 5%
- Ember Pearl: Damage increased
- Ritual Blade: Increased chances of another random enemy dying on enemy death.
- Winged Strawberry: Won't dissappear anymore, when dashing while there are no enemies in a room.
- Pipette: Also Increases Fire rate now,
- Shield Fairy: Rooms needed to complete for it to drop a pickup reduced by 1
- Key Fairy: Rooms needed to complete for it to drop a pickup reduced by 1
- Lifevest: Increased Chance of effect. (25->30->35) -> (40->50->60)
- Courage Trophy: Upgrades increased from 5% to 10%
- Battery: Rare -> Common



  • [h3]Relics Nerfs:[/h3]

- Emergency syringe now gives less damage.
- Shield Polish: Now a legendary relic
- Greatsword: Lowered upgrade benefits
- Lovely Shell: Range Increase lowered
- Pulsing Orb: Range Increase lowered
- Red Die: Common -> Rare
- Glowshroom: Common -> Rare
- Miracle: Lowered damage
- Star Hairpin: Bullets are now shot based on player position, not gun position
- Tormented Soul: Common -> Rare
- Time Capsule: Common -> Rare
- Portal: Now works the same on gamepad, as well as keyboard+mouse
- Glass Cannon: Common -> Rare
- RC Controler: It doesn't set the bullet angle anymore, but instead lerps it towards the angle, keeping multi bullets from combining

  • [h3]Relics Tweaks:[/h3]

- Wind up key: Now increases your orbital speed, rather than decrease it.
- RC Controller: Now upgradeable
- Moon Earrings: Added new synergies, as well as made its range also speed dependant.
- Giants Fang: Can also give you familiars now.

  • [h3]Pickup Buffs:[/h3]

- Buffed Soul Onigiri from half a soul segment to a full one

  • [h3]Weapon Buffs:[/h3]

- Grappling hook is now slightly faster and doesn't grab onto platforms anymore



  • [h3]Settings:[/h3]

- Added a slew of graphic options to potentially allow for a smoother framerate
- Added an option that lets you slightly adjust the camera zoom while in enemy rooms
- Added an option that lets you skip more complex inputs (holding buttons and mashing buttons)
- Added an option that lets you dash towards the cursor position
- Added an option to turn off foreground elements
- Added a proper mouse lock system, rather than just clamping the mouse position in the window
- Added an option, that lets you adjust the Relic hud

  • [h3]Bugfixes:[/h3]

- Misfit scarf relic didn't calculate damage properly
- Fixed Vinish jumping out of the ground immediatly when holding Peaceful Decoy relic.
- Fixed Corrupted Bullet only dealing +.5 damage on corrupted enemies, rather than +50% damage
- Fixed a bug, where familiars would, at times, not be properly affected by relics like "giants fang"

Hi everyone!

We made a quick update with some bugfixes and gameplay tweaks. Hope you'll enjoy it!




  • Addition

- The roadmap tab on the Titlescreen is now clickable and will lead you to the update announcement.


  • Tweaks

- Enemies that are spawned by the parasite curse, can not spawn more parasite enemies.
- Enemies that are spawned by the necromancer curse, can not spawn more necromancer enemies.
- Bosses can not be affected by the High Morale Curse anymore.
- Enemy waves in enemy rooms are not time based anymore and instead are now triggered when all other enemies are defeated.
- The amount of enemies that can spawn in challenge rooms has been lowered.
- Bargainings Spear attacks wont be able to hit you anymore, once they are stuck in the ground.
- Some of the curses got nerfed a bit, since they felt too strong.
- Minor assets adjustements.
- Minor text fixes.

  • Bugfixes

- Fixed a crash, where if an enemy got destroyed the moment it would generate a shield from the shield curse, the game would crash.
- Fixed a crash, where the game tried to spawn spike traps, even though it couldn't.
- Fixed the third boss softlocking on other gamespeeds.
- Removed knockback on contact with spikes when in possesion of the "Spiked Boots" Relic.
- Fixed the bullet cap not working, creating infinite loops in bullets (Damaged Ammo + Lava lamp + Boomerange for example).
- Fixed Being able to spawn aquarius spears outside of a game room, resulting in a crash.
- Fixed Giants Fang/ Wind Up Key being able to give your orbital repeats.
- Fixed Heart Locket making key gates free when you have more than 1 key.
- Fixed an issue where dying to a shroomencer would not give the caretaker the correct death message and would softlock the game.
- Fixed being able to skip the forced death at the end of the currently last area.
- Fixed a bug where Medical supplies didn't show that it was on max upgrade when it should be.
- Fixed an issue in regards to non 16/9 windows, where the game would weirdly skew.
- Fixed an audio bug in regards to the infested flies, that would play multiple times on their death.
- Fixed a bug with the blacksmith, where it wouldn't show relics that would otherwise not be upgradable due to lack of resources, as upgradable, when you have a free upgrade.
- Fixed a bug, where relics from the boss key relic could get stuck in a wall.
- Fixed the 19th shard effect, not increasing shop prices as it should.
- Fixed a bug, where familiar bullets would have the enemy outlines, rather than the player ones.
