Revita 0.6.1 Update Notes + Sales

Hi everyone!

Thanks for all your feedback on the Cursed Choices update. Because of that we made a new, smaller bugfix patch, featuring a ton of bug fixes, but also quite a few new Quality of Life things! Please let us know if your encounter any more issues on our Discord!

  • QUALITY OF LIFE:
    - The Chaos ticket can now be accessed even without tickets being unlocked. (In order to make it work, either start a new run or reactivate the chaos ticket at the tinkerer)
    - The Cursed Crates Secret now unlocks upon opening the last cursed chest, rather than at the end of the area
    - Added the ability to open the collection menu with a hotkey, without having to open the pause menu
    - Added a setting that lets you view your stats outside of the pause menu
    - Added an icon to the result screen for when you play on higher or lower gamespeed, or lower enemy damage
    - Restarting with a mode or free ticket equipped (chaos or key) will now let you keep it while restarting (as long as you can pay for them)
    - Souls now slightly move towards the player when they are inside walls
    - Scorpio Hook (Weapon): Now has slow motion applied while holding down the attack button
  • BALANCING:
    - Relic Hammer Requirements now scale with relic rarity.
    - Vending machines have a lowered chance of giving pickups
    - Challenge rooms have a limit to how many enemies they can spawn now
    - Blood Lust curse now has a base cooldown of 650 frames instead of 500
    - Royal Fleyes: Lowered base Hp from 40 to 30
    - Guard Fleyes: Lowered base Hp from 40 to 20
    - Heyeve Minds: Spawn less flies from 2-4, to 1-2
    - Depression: Made all kinds of balance changes to his attacks
    - Lowered how many times Skate Culteyes and Royal Fleyes can spawn in a room
    - Amount of enemies per room is now somewhat based on room size
    - Whestone (Relic): Chance of getting Damage pickups increased. 20->25->30 to 30->40->50
  • GAMEPLAY:
    - Mirror secret is now also doable via the alt route
    - Can't find the same celestial weapon you are currently carrying in an observatory room.
    - Removed the knockback from shooting upwards
    - Added Somber Sepulcher Boss room variations
  • MISC:
    - Updated the description of the Cleansing Curse
    - Minor text adjustements (english version)
    - Weapon Tickets now have their own design
    - Updated the design of the ticket you get from the Caretaker at the beginning of the game, to reflect the new design
    - Updated the look of the observatory room
  • BUGFIXES:
    - Return Dialogue from the Hollow Hives wont lead to a softlock with the caretaker anymore
    - Fixed enemies being able to be revived that really shouldn't be able to
    - Adjusted Depression Laser position to be able to hit you while standing still
    - You can't kill yourself at the blacksmith anymore
    - Minibosses don't have a chance of not spawning when they are supposed to anymore
    - You wont get multiple minibosses in wave rooms anymore
    - Damaged Ammo (Relic): Bullets wont spawn on the wall after hitting an enemy anymore
    - Guard Flies can't get stuck outside of rooms via the necromancy curse anymore
    - Bosses can't be corrupted anymore when they are not supposed to be
    - Hp don't show up incorrectly on the ticket selection screen anymore
    - Cursed shop pedestals now actually give you relics
    - Curse shop relics can't be cursed anymore
    - Removed gamepad vibration when closing the game and fixed other gamepad vibration issues
    - Fixed a sound bug with Depressions Revenge attack
    - "Heart Drain" (Curse): Now actually does stuff
    - When you unlock a relic at the imprisoned it now counts as "discovered" for the journal
    - Can't steal from the key merchant anymore
    - Stealing from the Cursed Merchant won't resolve in a crash
    - The mouse cursor doesn't move towards the top left corner when mouse lock is on and the resolution is set to monitor resolution
    - Fixed chance for shields being invisible on the ui upon picking up
    - The background during the pause menu doesn't break anymore when switching resolution and render quality
    - "Hollow Chests" (Curse): Doesn't make it so the chests give nothing anymore
    - Charmed enemies aren't able to hit themselves anymore
    - Charmed Bone projectiles now have the correct colour
    - Segments of Bosses (Bargainings spears and Angers mushroom cap), are now also corrupted when the bosses themselves are
    - Fixed a transparency bug with the "cursed cleansed" popup
    - The Curse Cleansed Achievement progress now saves properly
    - Can't get relic duplicated in the form of tickets anymore
    - Can't get a trial relic from the chaot ticket aswell anymore
    - Shard modifier description can't go outside of the screen anymore
    - Fixed a Bug, where the level cap in the journal could be higher than the actual cap
    - Max HP Up Tickets can't cost max hp anymore
    - Mimics can't be affected by the necromancy curse anymore


Revita - The Cursed Choices update is out now!

[h3]The Cursed Choices update is now available! [/h3]
Once again our lead dev BenStar put all his heart into it. He has almost doubled the content from the Early Access launch!

The Cursed Choices update includes:
- Area 4, The Somber Sepulcher is now reachable via the Metro
- A new ticket system, what could their purpose be?
- Including a very chaotic ticket?
- Mimics
- New Lore
- Mysterious Rifts?
- Vending machines?
- Soul Crystals have sprouted across the tower
- The Journal: Fill it out to gain new knowledge
- 25 new Relics
- 20+ new Secrets
- 10 new Curses
- 4 new Hats
- 3 new Npcs
- New Celestial Weapon
- New Pickups
- And a ton more!

This is a new step of this big journey!

  • [h3]Quality of life:[/h3]
    - Difficulty modifiers are now visible in the collection
    - Removed the screenshake from the lantern culteye attack
    - You don't need to stand on the ground with a flying relic to interact with things anymore.
    - Pickups now can't be destroyed while enemies are in the room
    - Corrupted enemies will have a pink outline by default (overwritten by the enemy outline setting colour)
    - Temporary pickups (Hammer, etc) will now show up on the ui

  • [h3]Gameplay changes/additions:[/h3]
    - Changed Super Secret Room cue
    - Legendary Relic appearance rate has been tweaked
    - Soul Room appearance rate has been tweaked
    - Rare Pickups now cost .5 hp more in shops
    - Rare Pickups and Relics now give more souls when destroyed, than normal pickups
    - Shard effects have been entirely reshuffled to allow for a smoother difficulty curve
    - Shard amount has been changed from 40 to 30
    - Added a bunch of new shard effects
    - Curses are now stackable
    - You can now dash through honey
    - Getting hit by corrupted enemies will now destroy 2 shields instead of 1

    - Winged Strawberry: Now gives you stat bonuses if you clear a room without dashing
  • [h3]Relics Buff:[/h3]
    - Fake Bill: Now only has a chance of cursing you and is upgradable
    - Mithril Shield: Now also gives you a shield
    - Heart Locket: Now only has a chance of dealing damage to you and is fully upgradable
    - Snapshot Camera: Effect now also applies to dodging enemy bullets, not just enemies
    - Propulsion exhaust: not guaranteed to be cursed anymore
  • [h3]Relics Nerfs:[/h3]
    - Watergun: Rarity Increased from Common to Rare. Damage of the splash effect decreased by 50%
    - Pokerchip: Critchance benefit decreased from 20% to 5%
    - Ambrosia: Doesn't increase jump height anymore
    - Participation Letter: Doesn't increase jump height anymore
    - Powercell: Base Damage benefit decreased from 20% to 10%
    - Wax Wings: Wax Wings will now be deactivated for the rest of the area upon getting hit
    - Bugspray: Now scales its damage properly.
    - Skull Pendant: Now capped at 60% damage and gives less damage per curse
    - Misfits Scarf: Damage decreased from 50% damage per Soulbar to 20%


  • [h3]Curse changes:[/h3]
    - Cleansing: Now gets removed after its effect is applied
    - Explosive: Only damages the player now, instead of also damaging enemies
    - Hollow Chests: Now also applies to breaking big chests.
    - Blinding Rage: Now prevents you from focusing in enemy rooms in general.
  • [h3]Enemy tweaks:[/h3]
    - Shroomancer: Now can only spawn up to 2 "Shroomers" per room at all times
    - Shroomer: Firerate has been decreased slightly
    - Fleye Nest: Don't spawn infinite fleyes anymore
    - Angry Culteye: Shoot more rapidly on higher shards, decreasing their room coverage and making it slightly easier to dodge
    - Geoshards: Bullet spread amount on higher shards has been slighty decreased
  • [h3]Secret changes[/h3]
    - Tinkerer: Now requires you to fully upgrade 3 relics during a run.
    - Black Friday: Now requires you to clear every shop in a run
  • [h3]Visual changes/addition:[/h3]
    - Bullets now have a slight glow to them
    - Weapons now have a slight glow to them
    - New Boss death animation
    - New Shop design
    - Removed the "jump height" stat from the pause screen
    - The "Spikeball" relic now has an updated sprite, as well as now being animated
  • [h3]Bugfixes:[/h3]
    - Hats are now properly offset while flying
    - Mandrake relic is obtainable again!
    - The "Guard Fly" enemy can't drop a "Fleye" prison key anymore
    - The Bullet of the scuttlefish enemy, doesn't spread weirdly anymore
    - Stat popups now show up at the proper position when the hd font is turned on
    - Secret walls now properly cover up the ground in the Arid Athenaeum. Previously you were able to see some snow shine through
    - Orbital flies and the Charger relic now work properly with the quickshot setting
    - The game doesn't spawn additional environment particle effects anymore when pausing and unpausing the game
    - You can't skip the tutorial by exiting out to the titlescreen while in the tutorial anymore
    - Enemies shouldn't fall through platforms anymore when spawning
    - The King of all that ribbits won't dissappear anymore after pausing the game (He is just too powerful for that)
    - You can't get stuck in challenge room gates anymore, since they now close immediatly once you activate the challenge
    - You can't accidentally kill yourself at the Blacksmith anymore
    - Bargaining doesn't get stuck in walls anymore
    - Bargainings nails are now affacted by the silhouette curse
    - Lifevest doesn't activate anymore if you wouldn't die from the damage taken.
  • [h3] Text changes:[/h3]
    - The description for the "Marbles" relic has been adjusted to say "Familiar" rather than "Orbital"
    - Other minor changes

  • Tweaks:

- Crossroads can't contain secret rooms anymore
- The boss alt room spawnrate has been lowered
- Some of the boss alt room layouts got tweaked
- Boss alt rooms can now only appear past shard 2
- Minibosses will now only spawn in the second half of an area
- Minibosses can't be corrupted anymore

- Slightly buffed Hollow Hives' enemies
- Combat rooms in the Hollow Hives can now spawn honey traps

- The timer now won't go down when interacting with an offering statue
- Player bullets with infinite range will now dissappear when far outside of the camera view
- Updated, changed and tweaked some of the shard modifiers
- Cursed Chests can't spawn relics that are cursed anymore (unless the spawned relic is always cursed)

- The "Converter" relic now only triggers on hp damage
- The "Wax Wings" relic now lets you fly through platforms
- The "Giants Fang" and "Wind up Key" relics will now only give you familiars/orbitals that actually synergise with them.
- The "Moon Earring" relic got some synergy fixes and changes
- The "Bio Cell" relic got nerfed; Now rather than upgrading the amount of bullets, it increases the chance of spawning an additional bullet.
- The "Squishy Shield" relic now gives 1hp per shield instead of 0.5 hp
- The "Cursed Soul" and "Mask of Torment" relics aren't cursed by default anymore
- The "Flashlight" relic now makes it so you don't have to shoot secret walls in combat anymore.
- The "Bomb Grub" relic now has a timer attached to the corpses exploding, giving you an indicator and time to get to safety.


  • Bugfixes:


- Ui elements that show your current shard level, now show up properly
- Minibosses can't teleport into the ceiling anymore
- Hollow Hives' enemies now have their proper death dialogue when dying to them
- On enemy room clear (boss defeat, miniboss defeat, challenge room clear), enemies that would have extra effects (curses that spawn extra enemies, maggots splitting, etc), don't have those anymore
- The "spikes in the middle" room is not the default denial boss room anymore (sorry)
- Gravity bullets now roughly keep the same arc at higher enemy bullet speed
- Shotflowers don't randomly have a flipped sprite anymore

- The "Humble Bee" relic now has the correct upgrade text
- "Boomerang" + "Moldy Cheese" synergy now works as intended and doesn't create bullets that stay around forever
- The "Lifevest" relic now truly only triggers if an attack would kill you
- The "Wax Wings" relic doesn't let you slide on walls anymore
- You can now get cursed while flying

- The "Clunky Chamber" curse is working properly again

Revita 0.5.2 Updates Notes :

  • Changes

- You now need to beat a run on at least 1 shard to unlock the colony achievement
- The marbles relic is now upgradable
- The hive relic now only gives +40% base firerate compared to previously +50% but doesn't change its angle as much per shot
- Overcharged max hp will also convert into another max hp
- Some alt boss rooms got slightly tweaked

  • Bugfixes

- Save and quit doesn't softlock the game in eu-spanish anymore
- Minibosses can't spawn inside challenge rooms anymore
- The legendary achievement is obtainable again (sorry)
- The artifact of pain relic doesn't make enemies invincible anymore when you have 0 max hp
- Fixed a bug, that kept crossroad rooms from appearing.
- Fixed a calculation bug in which emergency syringe, misfits scarf, skull pendant and bandana damage values were multiplied rather than added onto each other
- Fixed a bug where you could still focus with the curses that stops you from focusing while enemies are around
