Halloween updates have a special place in our hearts, we always had lots of fun doing those each year, and this one is no exception! 👻

We are so grateful for all of your support. With every major update, the content for House Flipper 2 becomes so much more diverse, and it's all thanks to your suggestions and feedback!
We're currently deep into our latest roadmap, and that means that you can expect some fresh info for the development journey of House Flipper 2 to arrive in the upcoming months! Meanwhile, make sure to check our feature board on Canny.io and vote for your favorite ideas! Keep in mind that this board is one of our main tools regarding planning the content for the game - your votes matter!

• Creating unpacking quests in Sandbox Mode is now easier. Buy the unpacking box and use the Hands tool to put items in and take them out!
  
• Building walls in concrete pouring mode now turns the finished product to concrete instead of bricks!
  
• Tiling walls with the same tiles will now highlight the overlap.
  
• You can now see the whole list of locked assemblies.
  
• The assembly panel is updated with arrow-key camera rotation and better gamepad support.
  
• The star timer for assemblies has been extended.
  
• You can now sit on even more benches and chairs.
  
• Instruments now make a sound when you press 'E'.
  
• You can now throw trash bags into the big commercial trash bin.
  
• Trespassing trees have been removed from Pinnacove Suburbs. Be free from your neighbours tree choices.
  
• Herbs now have an alternative dried version, just in case you're crafting potions.
  
• Cobweb rework – easier to spot, and they no longer mysteriously fall on their own.
  
• Added a sound for quest completions in rooms. You'll hear about your success!
  
• Resizable items now have a filter in the store.
  
• Added a saturation slider in settings – turn down the creepiness or crank it up!
  
• Settings now come with descriptions.
  
• Added tooltips for color names.

• Garage door stains now move along with the doors.

• Fixed the reset of the refresh rate at the game start.

• Tools unlocked in multiplayer campaigns are now available in single-player campaigns too.

• The first version of "Floor is Lava" – players can see each other, but only your time matters at the finish line.

[h3]🕯️ The "Bewitching Renovations" Update arrives on October 28![/h3][hr][/hr]
Yup, a couple of days before the big spooks, hopefully enough to bring the Halloween vibes to your favorite HF2 houses!

October 28 is the day when you'll be able to download the update for free, discover a full list of new additions by watching our developer stream or checking the changelog, and read about the rules of the Halloween-themed Community Contest.

The Summer Getaway Community Contest is now closed and the entries have been evaluated!
This one took a lot of effort from our jury, as with such an open theme, the creativity came in many different forms, and the winning projects really showcase that!
In the end, we really loved delving into all the different approaches and unique ideas!

Regarding Community Contests on Mod.io in general, we're extremely glad with how it's going and we feel lucky to have a community that's always ready to bring their A-game within the Sandbox Mode!

1. Enbesa Retreat by hamt4ro
INNNNNSANE! This is the absolute top level of Sandbox Mode in House Flipper 2.
Let's address the elephant in the room - all the irregular, asymmetric, and oddly-angled elements, that manage to complement each other so well! Hamt4ro's masterful combination of those creates an incredibly unique design. It feels like discovering a new architectural style with something surprising waiting for you around almost every corner!



2. Coastal Cottage by jessfess27
The coziness went through the roof with this one! What we really (and I mean REALLY) loved here is the color/material management and all the surrounding additions implemented into the environment. Messing with the surroundings outside of the set land borders is easier said than done, but Jessfess27 proved that this doesn't limit real creativity! Hours of effort and a truly great eye for creating the perfect cozy vacation vibe. Immaculate!



3. Camp Chevaler by LisaMockingbird
Summer camp time! What instantly caught our attention are the wonderful custom elements and all the clutter that makes the whole place look soooo lived in! Amazing attention to detail and some ideas we've never seen before! LisaMockingbird captured the summer camp vibe incredibly well, and on top of that showcased astonishing creativity and innovation.



4. A Suitcase in the Sand by Super_Kupo
We were fascinated by this outstanding design! Upon closer inspection, we realized how many of the little items are actually custom pieces created by combining already existing items. The attention to detail even with places that are not initially visible (inside drawers etc.) is intriguing! A very cool idea combined with lots of Sandbox Mode experience and precise execution!



5. Summertime by Shortfatguy13
STAR WARS FANS UNITE! Yup... that's when we realized everybody may have a very different vision of a "Summer Getaway" project. And oh wow... this one is a special one! So Shortfatguy13 decided he'd love to spend his summer on a distant island on which he landed his MASSIVE MILLENNIUM FALCON.
Oh, did someone ask if the Falcon is just a shell? ...Sweetie this is an HF2 Community Contest, of course it has a fully designed interior! Oh, and don't forget the fully-kitted underground mansion!
This is crazy and we love it!



6. Tropical Dream by Natka_96
A remarkable modern villa! A place that many people could surely call their dream summer destination! One of the best modern-style designs we've seen, with a plethora of very detailed and carefully thought-through spots! We also love the inclusion of so many natural elements and how they're an integral part of this project! Bravo!

[h3]📰 Big news for the House Flipper 2 CO-OP fans![/h3]

Today we're starting the second phase of House Flipper 2 CO-OP playtesting, as we'd love to see more people trying out the current state of this upcoming feature!



We have recently gone through a very small phase of CO-OP playtesting where we allowed a real tiny portion of our playerbase to access the feature. We verified that it works in an acceptable way, so here goes phase 2! 🥰

The biggest change is that this time, everyone who'd like to have a chance to get access to the CO-OP feature playtest can sign up for it through Steam!



[h3]🔓 How to apply for access?[/h3]

No 3rd party websites - just a straightforward "Request Access" button on the House Flipper 2 Steam Store Page, go check it out:

Remember that signing up for the CO-OP feature doesn't instantly mean that you'll be granted access! Closed alpha or beta tests in the world of gaming are closed for a reason, and especially with online features like CO-OP, making it a process based on expanding phases is crucial for the development path of the feature. For now, it's even more important, as we're specifically focusing on how different server load levels influence the feature and its stability.

😭 We'd love to allow you all to hop in, but that would in fact prolong the development process! 😭

Also, keep in mind that even though this feature is one of our main focuses regarding the future of the game, it is currently nowhere near being finished, so expect bugs, crashes, and other pesky occurrences that might take away from the fun!
