Update 9.0 alpha

This update is primarily focused on optimization and has the longest development time so far. Since the work on the optimization was delayed, I decided to release the update without a new location, so as not to delay the release of the update even more. After the release of this update, I will focus all my efforts on an update dedicated to the new location.

The technology for creating nature in the game was partially automated, but created problems in optimization and limited the diversity of nature. It was decided to abandon this technology and implement nature using the classic but proven method. Each of the existing locations was redone manually, as a result, in most cases, it was possible to increase the FPS and reduce the load on the graphics card from 95% to 60-65%. Also, this method allowed to place more plant species, which visually improved the nature. This was the last big optimization update and I plan to devote most of my time to new content. Of course, I will continue to optimize the game as much as possible, but this will be a bonus to the update base.


In addition to optimization, the interface of the wagon construction system was improved, now for each element of the wall there will be additional information with a clear display of the necessary resources. The interface for displaying the necessary resources for the planned wall elements has also been improved. The interface is fully localized and can be translated.


Implemented a system for placing objects on any surface in the train or on the ground, while the objects retain their position after loading. This will allow you to arrange items in the interior of the train to create coziness. Disassembled items such as chairs or barrels are also taken into account and are not restored after loading the game.


Group electrification of luminaires has been implemented. Now the switches need to be linked to light sources, which will allow you to create groups of light sources and activate them at the right time.

To activate electrification mode, press the N key in the English layout.

The ability to sign most of the vaults on the train has been implemented.


Almost all building materials in the game have been replaced with realistic ones. It is planned to completely replace all cartoon textures in the game for the release of updated zombies.


Added new locations to explore in three locations. During development, I will refine each location by adding unique locations to explore.


A system of gradual attenuation of external sounds while being inside a constructed car has been implemented. The system takes into account the installed walls, ceilings, doors and glass units.

Unfortunately, there are several flaws in the game now. In the process of working on nature, I was unable to get rid of small lags in the reflection of vegetation in the water, so for now the water will only reflect the sky, but this will be fixed as soon as the cause of the lags is eliminated. Also, zombies can ignore trees and go through them, this will also be eliminated as soon as I find out the reason for this.

Saves will work in this version, revision is planned for the next update, when a new location appears.

  • Fixed a bug where glass, smoke and any source of water stood out brightly in the fog.
  • Fixed bug with overexposed foam in water.
  • Fixed a bug with the ability to drag one item with a split to multiply it.
  • Snow no longer passes through roofs.
  • Fixed a bug where it was possible to sleep in bed when reversing.
  • Fixed a bug where it was possible to activate the floor and table lamp without collecting it.


Plans for the next updates

  • New location, the ability to paint the walls and sheathe the outer part with armor.


Save system update.

Hey guys. At the moment, I have a question regarding updating the save system in order to be able to save changes in each location. At the moment it will be useful in order to save the lever in the path switch in the city location and the destroyed blockage in the tunnel. The problem is that it will almost certainly break the old saves, so I want to know your opinion, was it worth doing it now or postponing it for the future? The save system will be changed in any case, the only question is whether to do it now.

Zombie redesign.

Ardent greetings, train drivers! Today, at the end of the day, we have completed the work on the redesign of the zombies that exist in the game. During the redesign, I tried to preserve the image of the zombies we know as much as possible. Also, one of the zombies was divided into two types of zombies with their own special skills.
From this moment we will start developing new 2-3 zombies as well as a zombie boss for the territory of the store in the city location. Once these zombies are ready, I will be ready to start replacing old zombies with new versions including new zombies and boss zombies.

Update 8.0 alpha



This update focuses on the modular system for the construction of residential wagons. Starting with this version, empty carriages will be attached to the train on which the player can erect modular walls of a residential train. The platforms have been slightly increased in length and the walls can be built in two floors, which has increased the useful area of ​​the train, about 5 times compared to the previous version of the game. At the moment there is no way to improve the walls, both outside and inside. This will be implemented in the next update. The binding of light sources to switches is also simplified, all light sources in a carriage will be automatically linked to any switch in this carriage. In the next update, it will be possible to bind each light source individually to the desired switch. Now in the game you can collect rainwater so that you can later use it to quench your thirst or prepare food, and in the future, to water plants. To do this, it is necessary to install a special roof for collecting water and place a tank for collecting water under it. A lot of new furniture has appeared in the game, but so far it has a decorative function, but in the future it will increase the comfort of the room, which the player will need. The approach to filling the train with cans was changed, now the canister does not turn into scrap metal, but becomes empty, after which it can be filled at gas stations and the weight of each canister is increased to 10 liters.

To start building, you need to call the planning menu by pressing the B key in the English layout or change it in the control menu. It is important to take into account that in the planning menu you cannot build settable walls or attack the enemy, for this you need to exit the planning menu by pressing the right mouse button. The activation of the planning menu is indicated by a red triangular symbol on the right side of the screen.

Added sand as a new resource. The sand will be needed to create the glass, which will be needed to create the glazing on the train and also for some workbenches. Sand can be mined with a shovel on sandy shores.

  • Fixed some zombie spawns in front of the player in a location with tunnels.
  • Fixed a bug where you could get on a train through a wall in a location with a gas station.
  • Fixed a bug where canisters were not combined in the inventory.
