The 100-Player Twitch Chat Party Pack News

Version 0.29 Is Live!

Hey everyone!

I have spent a ton of time this week polishing the game and fixing a ton of things that have driven me crazy for so long. The goal is to get things polished and simple and clean, and I feel really really good about where things stand with this release.

The full list of bug fixes and improvements:

  • There is now an actual title screen once you connect Twitch!
  • Viewers are now prevented from moving/shooting/digging before the game actually starts. All the games are better for it.
  • Started the process for storing player/streamer stats
  • Fixed all the buttons. Literally all of them.
  • Fixed the twitch connection interface to be clearer and smoother
  • Added a button that lets a streamer start the game immediately if they so choose
  • Adjusted the audio levels
  • Minesweeper 100 now screenshakes as the seismic activity gets closer to blowing up a mine
  • Totally fixed the viewer sprites in Bombertown (little things here and there were a few pixels off)
  • Fixed the viewer chat commands displaying at the wrong time in Bombertown
  • Lowered the viewer HP in Bombertown. Smaller games just took too long and extra lives are readily available.
  • Added a rainbow team color to Happy Tanksgiving and Minesweeper 100
  • Code update to optimize the chat commands when players join

All the best,

Version 0.28 Is Live!

I'm slowly chipping away at improvements, and the biggest one in this update is that the menu now has a licensed song from the Montreal-based band Couteau Papillon! For those that are unfamiliar, the band's leader did all the music for Spaceteam, which is one of my all time favorite games. The song I've included, Quetzalcoatl, is a jam that fits the vibe of the game really well.

In terms of bug fixes and improvements:

  • Multiple streamers have gotten in-game customizations made for their channel.
  • The opening instructions to connect to the Twitch chat are now much clearer.
  • After a year and a half, I finally got hovertank damage to animate at the proper speed.
  • I fixed the Bombertown sprites showing up in the wrong place.
  • The hype quotes have been randomized so they don't all show up at once and look cluttered on the menu screen.

Notice anything that needs correcting? Let me know and I'll add it to the list!

All the best,
-Jaime
