Diplomacy is Not an Option News

Demo 2.0.4 / Beta 1.0.5 1st day Hotfix

Folks! Important update!

Firstly, the Endless mode is back in the Demo.

Secondly, thank you so much for your support and for sharing opinions on Diplomacy is Not an Option. The entire development team had an absolutely crazy day, but it paid off.

Demo 2.0.4 / Beta 1.0.5 1st day Hotfix (changes applied for both versions):

- Once again, the Endless Mode is back in the Demo. However, the new-new Demo's save-load system doesn't support saves from previous Demo versions.
- Fixed the bug that caused workers to freeze instead of going to their target with no obstacles on the way.
- Fixed the bug that inverted camera control when rotating the camera.
- Fixed the bug that blocked unit icon dragging in the defense structure interface.
- Found and fixed several crash cases.
- Fixed the crowding bug (weird units behavior).
- Storages are remodeled.
- Several translations improved.
- Minor interface and balance improvements made.

Thank you for attention, enjoy!

The new demo is alive and kicking

Having the EA release at the gates, we've decided to update the demo-version of Diplomacy is Not an Option. Check it out on our steam page!

Sometimes a demo is just a demo. We did make a lot of changes there. Still, it doesn't mean that the previous demo's content was cut off from the main game. For example, the hospital upgrade, the engineer guild are there. However, we've reworked the delivery mechanics from the scratch, so porters... no more. Only one week stays between your expectations and the release date. You'll be able to get back to the endless mode (this time with save/loads) when Diplomacy is Not an Option comes to Early Access. Thank you for understanding.

The time has cometh!

Let closed beta-testing begin. If you're willing to jump in, come visit our steam page and leave a participation request there. Hurry up, for the number of keys is limited.

About making the right choice

Salute, friends!

A post for those who are interested in the plot twists and turns of Diplomacy is Not an Option. In the Early Access version twists and turns can be found in the two campaign missions. We consider this part of the story to be something of a prologue or, if you will, a "pilot episode". And we've even prepared a plot choice in the second mission to give you an impression of how the choice system works.

The country is in uprising. Driven to extremes by destitution, the peasants are mobilised by an impostor who promises to end tyranny and bring justice to the masses.

Two paths are open before the protagonist. The first way is to kill the impostor and put down the rebellion. After all, you are a knight and have sworn to defend your king from foreign and domestic enemies at all costs. The second way is to join the rebels. After all, you are a knight and must stand up for the weak, as it is your duty to defend their rights.

And what will be your choice?

Diplomacy Is Not An Option delays its hordes until next month

Diplomacy Is Not An Option looks pleasant and lovely, a bucolic town builder of the sort that would enrapture me for a lost weekend. There's a little combat, but not mu-- Oh, wow. Waitaminute. There's a moment in this trailer where it suddenly looks like one of those adverts for fake mobile games. The hordes. Seemingly thousands of enemies on screen, and the physics to simulate them being hurled about.

You can watch said trailer below, released alongside the news that the game has slipped into next month.
