New Sandbox look, More Blood, Bugfixes & Improvements

Added some details to that stone box we used before. All the assets are physical so you can lean on them during jumps.

Almost finished adding new languages! During last weeks we added several new and going to add a few more soon next week. Recently joined:
  • Ukranian
  • Dutch

  • Turkish

[h2]Bugfixes and Improvements[/h2]


New UI for Wave Spawner on Arenas, now it's easier to control and understand. We will bring there body amount option too soon.

[h3]Fixes we added during last week:[/h3]
  • Body: issues during height calibration.
  • Body: bounce and fly around if your controllers are out of range.
  • Body: hands twisting in wrong place (still can twist sometimes).
  • Body: hands stretching, affected by player/object weight and walking.
  • Welding: could weld weapons in the armory and block them completely.
  • Welding: created objects could be placed into holsters and result in crazy glitches.


[h2]Temporal Limitations[/h2]
We tried our best but still not all original Hard Bullet features are here yet. Here is a list of most noticable. They will return rewoked and improved — some are almost here, others will take time.
  • No Soundtrack and lack of sounds.
  • No Destructions.
  • Basic Enemy AI.
  • Inserted mags are not physical.

Content Update: Welding Machine and new Arena: Marketplace



Hi all!
While part of the team is on vacation, the other part returns with new updates!

[h2]Welding Tool and Zero-G field[/h2]


Welding Tool allows you to combine any in-game objects incuding enemies and limbs together.
You can take it with you and use anywhere in the Sandbox.

  • Grab the blue Welding Tool.
  • Point it to the object you want to connect and press Trigger. Do not release!
  • With Trigger pushed, draw a line to other object.
  • When the end of the line changes, release Trigger.
  • Now both objects are bond together physically.

There also available a zego gravity field machine that will help you better target your tool and make more precise connections with non-organic objects.




[h2]New Arena: Marketplace[/h2]


New location for you to perform brutal takedowns and spread bullets around.


[h2]Other Improvements:[/h2]
  • Enemies breath that depends on their conditions: calm, when hurt hard or grabbed.
  • New visuals for bullet trails. Now default for slow motion sequences. You can turn them off anytime in the settings.
  • Added Loading icon.
  • Added French language.

Physics Based Update — Hard Bullet Reworked. New start for all.

Totall rework of original Hard Bullet


It's here. Groundbreaking and innovative yet so familiar — sandbox physics experience that blends gunfights, cinematic effects, brutal melee encounters with insane tools and fun modifiers to create unique violent experience.



[h2]New Gun Physics and Enemy Models[/h2]
[h3]Enemy's Gun Grab[/h3]

You can take enemy weapons out of their hands (some force needed though). Enemy holsters are not affected yet.

[h3]Gun Hold Physics[/h3]

Hold your weapons for any part you want! This allows you to perform creative tricks, deadly hits,
impressive reloads and brings a lot of realism into close quarter fights.

[h3]New Weapons and Layout[/h3]


Dozens of new weapons are avaliable for arenas and sandbox fight. You can take a look at the full list of real world analogs for firearms and melee weapons we have here.

We had to remove break action rifles but be sure we'll return better versions them in future updates.

[h3]Enemies and Gore[/h3]


New models with moving eyes and new animations will make you question your sanity when putting one of those under a giant drill.



Returned blood traces, added volumetric blood particles and endless blood puddles because it was not enought blood before. You can turn those On in the Settings.



[h2]New Sandbox[/h2]


Now Sandbox has several presets in which we can better showcase game mechanics

To make it easier and more fun for gamers and content makers we decided to include defferent locations into one scene. You can switch between different collections on-the-go and keep spawned enemies with you.

[h3]Enemy Workshop[/h3]


You can change enemies size and create true giants or dwarfs. You also can decide if they will stay immortal or will die from damage like regular enemies.



Enemies with scale more than 1.7 will allow you to climb on them:



[h3]Ammo Workshop 2.0[/h3]


With this new Ammo Workshop you'll be able to create more crazy weapons of all sizes. Large pencils and micro pitchforks going to deal a lot of pain to your enemies!
  • If object gets bigger it becomes heavier too.
  • Firearms damage does not scale.
  • Does not work with enemy limbs yet, will be added later.
  • Does not work with welded.


[h3]Welded Prototypes[/h3]


Results of freaky experiments, these hybrids are anticipating new feature that will come soon. It's not as innovative as others and probably you met welding in other games, but we'll try to bring it to a new level in the next updates.

Until then enjoy those shooting and cutting monsters we created.

[h2]Player Body and New Interactions[/h2]
[h3]Player Body Physics[/h3]

Player's body now has phisical impact on surrounding. It works so well, you do even not need to press grip to climb on some obstacles. However, we still have special climbing things so you'll have even more fun:
  • Meat hooks on chains
  • Rusty Pipes
  • Big Climbing Scene in Sandbox presets


To say more about new body, we also gave special attention how guns work with it. Big gun's buttstock should not interfere your aiming but will hit enemies as usual.

[h3]More Holsters[/h3]
We polished holster mechanic so it almost never allows missclicks and always gives you the gun you wanted from the right place.

Now player has four front holsters — chest and hips — and one on the back.

[h3]Better Distance Grab and UI[/h3]


So many new things needed new interface and user experience improvements. We decided to move closer to regular 2D layouts.

To make Distance Grab mechanic more intuitive we added more presets for better visualisaion of what interactable object you are targeting right now. You can tune how it looks in the settings, even turn it off completely when you are ready.



[h3]Oculus Runtime[/h3]
For all Oculus users added launch option, so if you have your Oculus device connected, game will ask if should run in native Oculus mode or with SteamVR support.

If you still using Virtual Desktop, you should select SteamVR launch, or just have SteamVR running before launching the game.

We recommend to use official Oculus solutions like Air Link or cable connection.

For all non-Oculus users: if you ever see such option, just select SteamVR launch, obviously.

[h3]Wide FOV Camera[/h3]


We want to thank everyone who creates videos and helps us show Hard Bullet to bigger audience. Whout content creators we won't be able to bring all these innovative features and keep going further.

[h2]Old Hard Bullet stays too[/h2]
We decided to keep old October 20' - March 21' Hard Bullet available too. Due to new launch options it controls may have issues with Virtual Desktop streaming for Oculus Quest and probably with any other VR hardware too.

You can switch back to old version in the Beta tab, select OldHB and finish download.

Devlog: Teasing Physics Update and short 20% off sale



We've been working hard and soon will be ready to bring you completely reworked Hard Bullet game. Some of you already experienced our new physics based setup and other features during Open Physics Beta and knows how far we've gone.

Now let's talk about big improvements that will come with Physics Update very soon.

[h2]New Gunplay[/h2]


Once again we tweaked gun handling to make gun control more responsive and get rid of some small glitches that came with physics player body we are using.

Update makes two handed guns much more manageable as we tried to reach comfort level of most popular VR shooters but still keep the physics on.

Return of off-hand grab for pistols and ability to pass weapons from one hand to another, new settings for more comfort and control for all firearms.



[h2]Player's Body[/h2]
Even more physics in your body! All your body parts will become fully physical!

Head, shoulders, chest, even hips and legs — they are here to punch, kick and hit everything they can reach!

Use you body to get over obstacles, control your falling and perform overpowered tricks in slow motion.

[h2]Updated Sandbox and Kowloon return[/h2]


While general Sandbox UI will stay almost the same, we are bringing back some old torture machines and going to showcase a new climbing location. The last one is designed to test your physical body and get maximum of it.



[h2]When?[/h2]
We have intentions to move everyone to Physics Based Hard Bullet in the end of THIS month. If it won't be possible, we'll ship it during the first week of August (two weeks from now).

Hi all, today we add a lot of crazy things and improve what was already here. Meet Ammo Workshop 2.0, New Enemy Customization, Tutorial sequence and updated Grab System.



[h2]Enemy Workshop — Giants and Dwarves[/h2]


Now you have more possibilities to tune Sandbox enemies. And it's not just some outfit!

You can change their size to create true giants or dwarfs. You also can change if they will stay immortal or die like regular enemies.



Right now this feature is available only for spawned calm enemies and will come to Attacker Spawner too with some improvements.


[h2]Custom Ammo Workshop 2.0[/h2]


With this new Ammo Workshop you'll be able to create more crazy weapons of all sizes. Large pencils and micro pitchforks going to deal a lot of pain to your enemies!

Notice: if object gets bigger it becomes heavier too!

For now Ammo Workshop does not work with enemy limbs, this feature will be added later.



[h2]Updated Distance Grab and UI[/h2]


Reworked how Distance Grab works and looks from the player perspective.
Now you can select between three possible visual appearances to help you catch guns in the air. Overall system is more predictable during weapon selection from wall armory.

Replaced physical buttons in Firearms Wall so it's much easier to switch the presets. New pointer in Pause menu is not so annoyingly green anymore.



[h2]Tutorial Sequence[/h2]


We want our users to be prepared for basic Hard Bullet interactions so during this sequence you'll learn and customize a better experience for yourself.

We recommend everyone to visit Tutorial and leave your feedback to help us form a better knowledge of the game. This is still a Beta during Early Access so it's very far from the final result we all want to see.

[h2]Work on Gun Balance[/h2]
Now after so many things are done we can return to Gun Balance System we were building a few months ago.

Thanks to our physics based systems we use for guns and hand weapons our game designer will be able to continue his work and will bring some changes to guns in Hard Bullet.

A lot of more to come in the future for gun mechanics and gun types so this is a great start of new firearms gunplay. Stay tuned for small updates and Updates Recaps to get more info when something changes.

[h2]UPD 07/02/2021: Hand Poser 2.0[/h2]


Now you can tune your hand positions for more comfort and make better use of weapons. Changing positions will affect both hands simultaneously.

Controller Offsets Tuner is on the right during game launch sequence or you can find it in Controls in the Pause Menu anytime.
