Brutal Machines Update and Sandbox Reworked



[h2]New Sandbox Design[/h2]

We want to start with words of gratefulness to all of you who shares your opinions and ideas with us, creates videos and other content — we watch every one and always listen!

Today's update makes the Sandbox more camfortable for everyone and brings more unique look.

Objects in the first room are located as if you start moving clockwise after arrival on the eleveator.

First of all you get to the office zone with basic interactions, working white board and desctructible objects.

Then you meet the Armory and Reloading switcher. As usual, you need to get closer to make the wall turn around and show all the toys.

Experimental zone will be the next, you'll find there Custom Ammo Workshop and Nailgun prototype.

Next is a large Spawn Zone — it looks like the one that was in the Melee Chamber in older version with Controls Panel on the left of it.

On the right wall we regrouped all the Melee Weapons we have for now and removed the missing ones.

[h2]Brutal Machines Showcase[/h2]
Meet the orchestra of dangerous machines from real life that you can use! We'll add some of them to Arenas during next weeks.

In the future Rougelike you'll find them along your brutal run and will be able to perform special brutal kills.

We'll keep adding new machines to this showcase and hope to get some feedback from you! We plan to change the overall Sandbox design at least once more so your ideas can become reality.

New version of spikes! Now you can rotate pinned enemies and their parts around! We keeped the old ones too.

  • WARNING: May melt your PC!
    Custom Ammo: in Shotguns now EVERY pellet (shot) gets changed to custom object. WARNING: May melt your PC!
  • Added new voices to enemies in agony, brutaly dying and getting heavy injured with spikes.
  • New impact sounds for spear-like objects.
  • New sounds when bladed weapon jumps into your hand.
  • New bullet hole effect that changes on different materials.
  • Fixed Shotgun could become unloadable because of stange sphere appeared.
  • Fixed some effects could appear in wrong places.
  • Fixed weapon could jump back to the armory/melee wall when you try to grab it.
  • Fixed Custom Ammo Mag could appear empty.
  • Fixed Custom Ammo first shot could appear on the wrong place.
  • Fixed Custom Ammo snap zones could both snap one object.

Devlog: Teasing new physics, climbing and new level of hand interactions

Want to share the progress we made with new body physics and hand interactions.
GIFs quality is lowered to fit into Steam website image restrictions.

[h2]New Gun Grab Mechanic[/h2]

You'll be able to hold any weapon for any part, but main gun parts are still interactable and functional too — just like in real life!

And notice the enertion one hand gives to another! New arms are strong!

This opens us new possibilities to add new complex weapons and polish the current ones again. Just look at this odd thingy we turn around and play with — how many cool interactable things we can create!



[h2]Flaweless movements and arms[/h2]


You'll be able do any trick you want without your hands stuck somewhere in a box or table.
All punches and hits are so precise — it feels like you are doing them in real life with your own hands.

We are really proud to say we got very close to AAA quality physics VR top-sellers have.

This is an experimental feature cause originally Hard Bullet was not supposed for this type of locomotion. We still considering adding this mechanic into Rougelite mode. Whant do you think?

[h2]Brutal Machines this week[/h2]


Had to move Brutal Machines Update to this first week of spring soo we can polish everything, sorry for delay!

This update will bring deadly instruments to Sandbox and some Arenas, also expect greatly updated Sandbox level!

All weapons will be reorganized to improve your experience, new room space, new materials will make it more unique and closer to Hard Bullet graphic style you can see on artworks.

Devlog: Gory Machines & Body Physics

Teasing Two Upcoming Features:


[h2]Torture Machines[/h2]


Machines Update is planned for the end of this month.
We are working on new devices to help you bring more pain and gore to these puppets.

Expect collection of different deadly machines that you can meet in real life in any manufacture — so do not try anything IRL cause, you know, this shit will kill ya.

[h2]New Player Body Physics[/h2]


Body Update is planned for mid-March.
We want to bring polished physics experience to every aspect of Hard Bullet and the way your body and hands react to the world around is one of the primal goals for us.

Just check out how easy it will be to grab those pallets and other thin things after we finish everything:


As you can see, this future setup is nothing like the one we use now — every limb gets weight and strength, every object reacts to your interactions accordingly.

Throwing objects, holding guns and punching enemies is getting to a new realistic and comfort level. New body behaves very natural and much closer to the top VR games on the market.


[h2]Last Week Updates[/h2]

Recap of the important changes and experience improvements we made during last week. BTW you can check the Updates Log for the small updates we do.

[h3]Shotgun Updates:[/h3]


Added different pump modes so now you can choose the best for your style:
  • Trigger Controlled — the one that was default. Press trigger to move the pump.
  • Fixed — if the bullet is inside it will freeze until you shoot. Standard Pavlov scheme we used before Gun Rework.
  • Free — pump moves all the time, so be carefull and do not loose any ammo.
Access these options in the Settings menu at the Lobby:



Shotgun Bugs eliminated:
  • Pump could move or even drop out of the shotgun.
  • Pump was affected by other physical objects.
  • Situation when the bullet could stuck outside the reciever.
  • Situation when the pump could stuck on the half way.


[h3]Custom Ammo Workshop Updates:[/h3]
  • Now EVERY game object can be used as an ammo, not only weapons. Shoot with heads, chairs or knives — it's up to you!
  • Reworked throwing mechanic for all objects.
  • Reworked snap zones at Workshop.
  • Custom Ammo objects now go straight forward and can pierce and cut enemies.


[h3]Toy Soldiers Updated[/h3]
  • Eliminated grab issues.
  • New color scheme to show that they are made of plastic.
  • Replaced blood effects with sparks.
  • Now they have toy guns (tiny copies of the regular ones).
  • Fixed limbs getting bigger when dismembered.
  • Fixed stretching after death.


[h3]UPDATES & FIXES[/h3]


UPDATES:
  • Added Desert Eagle.
  • Added Machete.
  • Objects you throw should follow the correct direction.
  • Brought back W12 pump shotgun.
  • Added smoke effect to break-action firearms.
  • Added green dots to iron sights.


BUGS FIXED:
  • Guns in your chest inventory collided with guns you hold.
  • Wrong magazines bug.
  • Gaps in the ceiling on Action arena.
  • Some texts spellcheck.

[h2]Shoot Anything With Any Gun[/h2]


Remeber the shovel gun? Oh you loved shovel gun!

Now you can create something better yourself! Use this workshop to make any firearm in game shoot any in-game object!

— SMGs shooting with trash bin covers?
— Sure, why not. But knives are better. 🔪

Instructions:
  • Place what you want to use as a bullet.
  • Place a gun you want to shoot from.
  • Press Button.
  • Take the gun and use the magazine that appeared.


[h2]Tiny Adorable Soldiers Attack[/h2]


Okay, that's when the shit goes crazy. Now you can spawn tiny soldiers. They are tiny, always angry and you can put them into a basket — so adorable!

Have fun with these new friends, just don't let them kick you to death!

[h2]Cybershoes Support[/h2]


Hard Bullet now officially supports Cybershoes device!

If you own one just go try how awesome it feels to move in slow motion and shoot from dual SMGs on Arcade!
