Alien Dawn - Update v1.03

Hi Everyone!

Voyager A.I. Camera

We are excited to announce we're doing the first live test of our Voyager A.I. Camera and setting up an official server for it, so that you'll be able to join and have your game streamed live on our Twitch channel as though you're a character in a movie.

While it's still in its early stages of development, the conception and creation of this new feature has been one of the driving forces behind the development of our game, and we're very much looking forward to watching what it and you create together.

What's Next?

Now that the first version of this new feature is complete, we are going to start to focus more on some of the issues player's have brought up with us since the release of the game 3 weeks ago.

We will first start with revising the Full Body IK system, and then move on to improving the gripping mechanics.

+ Added first Official Voyager A.I. Camera Server

+ Added more Mags to Deathmatch crates

+ Removed many unneeded textures to free up space and more performance
+ Removed unneeded Shader Permutations to improve performance

+ Fixed Players not teleporting to scoreboard when Deathmatch is over
+ Fixed A.I. Seek on hearing gun fire

Alien Dawn - Update v1.02

Hi All!

Excited to be posting another update on this game for everyone. Jessica and I have been hard at work optimizing the game as much as possible and listening to your feedback. It's rewarding to hear what you all have had to say and are looking forward to continuing talking with you more in the forums and Discord.

This patch is mainly about performance, graphic improvements & fixes, and soon we can start to add new content and address some of the issues players are having with the VR controls, ect, because that is important to us.

Your understanding of the process has not gone unnoticed by myself and Jessica, and we continue to be appreciative of it.

Can't wait to get the next updates out as we move forward with the rest of year.

+ Created Master Material to customize all of our shaders and improve performance
+ Added Streaming Static Meshes

+ Increased size of backpack trigger box
+ Increased Mothership final shot damage slightly
+ Increased Mothership blast radius
+ Increased Spring time slightly
+ Added extra instructions for password system
+ Moved ammo counter on several weapons for easier visibility on Desktop

Alien Dawn - Update v1.01

Hello Everyone!

We're releasing our first patch today for Alien Dawn after our Early Access launch on the 23rd of this month.

We'd like to thank everyone that has purchased the game, and those who have posted reviews, Jessica and I very much appreciate it!

Moving forward we will be continuing to refine the game and listening to your suggestions. We've already played the game with several of you and have had a blast.

Here are the patch notes for this version based on our own notes and early suggestions from the community:

10/28/2021 (Early Access) v1.01

+ Increase amount of time in between food damage
+ Decreased Mothership damage

+ Optimized VOIP transmission data rate

+ Fixed Sky Box graphic glitch / clouds going through objects
+ Fixed door sounds keep banging on Client
+ Fixed Navmesh removal for AI when leaving area that was causing stuttering towards end game

Hello all!

Christian and I are very excited to announce that Alien Dawn has launched in Early Access and is available now.

We invite you to join our Discord if you have any questions, want to chat with the community, look for other people to play with, report a bug, etc.

We will be releasing updates as frequently as possible, and have a Public Trello roadmap available with all upcoming changes and reported issues.

As always, we truly thank you all for the support and feedback over the last year with the Playtesting and are very much dedicated to the continued improvement of the game.

Lastly, we've created a tutorial that will teach you on how to play the game, but it also shows many different aspects of the VR and desktop gameplay, and you will be able to see the overall state of what's been released.
