We have just released Patch 1.0.796.64 to address a number of issues reported by the community.

Please note that the following changelog may contain spoilers:

Changelog
  • Updated a number of mindmap act node priorities
  • Adjusted hotspot for carpet in room 7 and doors in stable
  • Added missing dialogue for presenting cigar burns to some characters
  • Adjusted some Mind Map connections so they now correctly turn green
  • Deleting a save via the pause menu will no longer make the time/day UI disappear
  • Interacting with the Percival Portrait will no longer spoil Deane's Bedroom Mystery
  • Removed Campbell from church map at 12 day 3
  • Fixed a typo on the Entertainment Schedule
  • Addressed some miscellaneous lore issues
  • Adjusted NPC class info UI
  • Set FOV to default on certain cutscenes
  • You are no longer blocked from talking to Varley/Doyle once a meal is over until the next hour
  • Fixed some door transition sound effects
  • No longer possible to spoil the Hedge Maze scene before starting the masked ball by ending Day 2 in the hedge maze
  • Ruairi no longer stays in his room if you trigger the 9PM hour change on Day 2 while in his room with him after he has taken your picture
  • Ward no longer knows how to lucid dream without learning how.
  • Hedge Maze evidences is given on completing the Blake residence hypothesis
  • Gates in Blake Residence are open or closed correctly after loading a save
  • ]Information (blueprints) about the Strange Device from the atrium can now be found in the Blake Residence
  • Action bar now appears on HUD post Séance
  • Fixed some issues during the D'Arcy and Varley eavesdrop about her key
  • Quinn mindmap: Learn about family history node should now dim and show on "current focus”
  • Quinn mystery no longer shows the green "I helped to lift the curse from the Quinn family." connection after confronting her and before doing nothing else
  • Painting added to Cathal’s room
  • Now possible to get all of Varley's Evidence
  • Hazel confront lead should close at the correct time
  • Updated dialogue and description of wanted poster
  • Added a new outcome for Mantovani if Ward solves every NPC mystery
  • Observation text of family photographs now matches updated location of evidences.
  • Improvements made to Mantovani mind map, including animation and updated connection descriptions.
  • Some improvements for Ivy, Victoria, and Darragh’s mindmaps
  • Some improvements for Doyle’s mindmap
  • Added additional barks to clipboard in the basement
  • Fixed an issue where teleporting from Varley's office resulted in not being able to enter the Lobby afterwards while Varley is there
  • Fixed an issue where Ward could sometimes not enter Atrium door on Day 1

  • Completing Sinnott's quest should no longer lock you out of his room for the rest of the game (no longer blocking Saoirse's quest)
  • Skipping the Mantovani flyer cutscene should no longer stop the correct evidence from showing up (no longer blocking Caitlin and Saoirse's quest)

  • Achievement are now unlocked on platform initialization
  • A notification should be triggered when a new research topic is unlocked
  • Talks: Options to Stay or Leave no longer switch places on Day 3
  • Fixed map cursor pivot
  • Removed weird signs from the library
  • Updated character shadow textures
  • Updated behaviour for luggage
  • Made drawers free to use in telegram room
  • Can now analyze Varley in the telegram room
  • You can no longer take a certain item if Varley is inside the lobby
  • Talking to Varley after he gives you the sign in book will not cause the thwump animation to replay.
  • Updated grandfather clock game object (so parts don't turn black and white)
  • Ó Finn's "Ogham" VO Delivery is now correctly affected by Master Volume.
  • Fixed an issue where some THINK mindmap nodes would not dim at the correct moment
  • Culprit Fact notification now fires when Miss Deane's Room's Quest is complete.
  • Deane’s room quest logic now takes into account learning about Percival from talk
  • Fixed incorrect mindmap behaviour with “Mary Blake”

  • What brought Deane to the Manor: Culprit fact information mismatch fixed
  • Updated the occlusion culling in the ballroom drug sequence.
  • The catacomb gates sounds now play correctly
  • Removed lantern-less light from the post ball sequence
  • Basement staff scene: Camera no longer cuts off bottom half of Saoirse Murphy's fact
  • Wine cellar lock should not reappear after you win the combination lock minigame
  • Fixed incorrect mindmap behavior for “staff rota”
  • The icon for the crib in the Records now matches what the crib looks like in-game
  • Added the basement key keyring in the stables area to make it stand out more
  • Updated the doors in upstairs annex to they match the doors in the outer corridor.
  • Time will show up in question marks in the pause menu if it's blocked during gameplay
  • End chamber no longer plays the same dialogue as when you enter the room
  • Mr. Blake is no longer semi-transparent in the end sequence
  • Cathal will look at you correctly now If you discuss an item with him when he's not in his room
  • Updated position of painting in Etienne room to fix clipping issue
  • Corrected the amount of time the game tells you it'll take for Ruairi to take your picture misleading
  • Discussion should unlock for the correct items with Arwa
  • Some improvements to Varley’s mindmap behaviour
  • Some improvements to Doyle’s mindmap behaviour

  • Library unlock notification should no longer fire when you look at Ines's brooch

Following reports from the community Patch 1.0.746.205 was released on 12 February to fix an issue where Steam Deck and Linux players were experiencing a black screen when loading a save or entering areas of the hotel.
