Patch 1.2.20

  • Large seaweed is now 4x smaller but 4x more dense.
  • Fixed a rendering issue with one of the corals, it is now rendering properly.
  • Underwater is now a slightly different color and murkier. Reflections have been re-enabled for the underside of the water's surface as they seem to be mostly fixed now.
  • Larger creatures now need to eat slightly more in order to get full.
  • Eating from a creature now removes 1 toxicity per bite when eaten, up from 0.1, for the first 10 minutes after it dies.
  • Common edible plants, and anemone now have 24 max food, down from 48.
  • Uncommon edible plants, and starfish now have 72 max food, up from 48.
  • Rare edible plants, and clams now have 120 max food, up from 48.
  • Common edible trees now have 72 max food, up from 48.
  • Uncommon edible trees now have 144 max food, up from 48.
  • Rare edible trees now have 216 max food, up from 48.
  • The larger and older a creature is the more food it takes from a resource per bite, the largest and oldest taking up to 24 food in one bite.
  • Anemone now cleanse 5 toxicity per bite.
  • Starfish now cleanse 10 toxicity per bite.
  • Clams now cleanse 20 toxicity per bite.
  • Resource respawn delay has been increased from 1 second to 60 seconds.

Patch 1.2.18

  • Uncommon plants and trees no longer inflict toxicity when eaten. Now they remove 5 toxicity per bite.
  • Rare plants and trees now remove 25 toxicity per bite, up from 5.

Patch 1.2.17 (New Scent System)

The old scent system has been replaced with a new one. You still activate it by pressing the "Q" key or by cycling through creatures by pressing it multiple times. You can still cancel the scent system with the "Escape" key.

Patch 1.2.15-Patch 1.2.16

Patch 1.2.15
  • The Savage Lands map has been recreated. It now has more biomes and a different layout. There is no freshwater on the map yet so if you need to drink you will need to visit the Great Sands map and find an oasis to drink from temporarily.
  • Some grass, plants, and trees, have had their colors adjusted to look more natural.
  • A change has been made for herbivores that drastically changes their experience regarding food. Edible plants no longer have tons of bites on them. Instead, they have far less, which should encourage more roaming around looking for food instead of staying in one place for extended periods of time. Smaller and younger creatures can eat from a plant for longer periods compared to larger and older creatures.


Patch 1.2.16
  • Large bulky hatchlings are now 12.5% of their adult size, up from 2.5% of their adult size.
  • Large lean hatchlings are now 12.5% of their adult size, up from 6.25% of their adult size.
  • The rest of the hatchlings remain at 12.5% of their adult size.

Patch 1.2.14

  • Juveniles are now more likely to spawn in the wilderness.
  • All of the new trees now have collision.
  • Fixed, fearful AI are now fleeing properly.
  • Fixed, defensive AI are now defending properly.
