Update v1.0330

Replaced Monster Textures for Demon, Crow, Rat, and Dog... which look much better than the placeholder textures that were being used.

The Hound Master (Summoner) will now summon a dog every half second instead of all at once.

And a few bug fixes...

Changes
More editor improvements.. can now select groups from side panel, change color of light objects.
Added some more editor checks to verify map will actually be playable.
Removed all the unused Towers and Effects from default properties.
Replaced all the poison tower turret textures with something better.
Added new path tile set for first set of levels.
Fixed the dragon's fire ability not rendering.
Loading Screen has been redone to be more simple looking.


Patch 1.030 introduced the editor as a main feature and this last month has been dedicated to getting certain quality of life features implemented into the editor. I still have plans to add some more features into the editor while improving on some of the current features. I may also return to the editor to redo the interface but this isn't a high priority at the moment.

I did manage to make a few videos on how to use the editor which can be found on the forums. I plan on making at least a few more videos explaining the wave and spawns and other properties not yet covered.

As for the future, I am going to switch my focus to creating and refining the core content of the game. So over the next few months I plan on redoing a lot of the core assets, rebalancing of monsters and towers. I also plan on adding some music and adding the sounds for the towers that have been added over the last few months.

Some changes for custom map viewing/publishing/deleting.

Update v1.0310 (Editor Access)

This update enables access to the editor and some other features previously unavailable! These features are still in development but are stable enough for testing and feedback.

[h3]Editor[/h3]
The editor is a tool that can be used to create custom levels. This has been in development for a little while now and contains many features to allow for customization. Tutorials on how to use some of these advanced features will be coming soon. You can find the videos on the official forums if you are interested. Desktop users will have access to the "Towers" map which is a level that has all the towers and can be opened in the editor so you can test stuff out yourself.

[h3]Custom Map Sharing[/h3]
Another feature is the custom map sharing which has been implemented over the last month and is considered very experimental. You can access the public maps by going to the level selection screen, clicking the Menu Button and then the Custom button. This will connect to the server, getting any custom maps posted and allowing you to play it. Custom maps created in the editor can also be posted to this public server by using the Upload button in the editor menu. Please note this requires internet access. Also the interface is very limited at this moment so things like searching, filtering and sorting are not implemented yet.

Some other things..
Bombardment Towers have been redone!


The summoner ("hound master") now has a new texture which replaces the low quality one it was using.
Some minor bug fixes and maybe even some new bugs :)

Update v1.011

Hello Fellow Gamers!

An update to Dead TD has been posted which enables access to all the levels without having to unlock them.

Below is a quick summary of the new update..

  • The overall audio data has been adjusted, normalizing the loudness. (It's not so loud anymore!)
  • Minor fixes and changes to the tower textures and effects. All the Frost Tower textures have been updated.
  • Did some minor adjustments to the levels, it will rotate between mazable and single pathing levels.
  • Currently all levels are unlocked and available to play...
  • And a difficulty option of "Hard" has been added. This option will set the level to 100 waves, increase the difficulty by 25%, enables all monsters to spawn, and has no restrictions on what can spawn and when.
