Killing Floor 3: The Start Of A Journey And The Year 1 Roadmap

[p]Nightfall,
[/p][p]The release of Killing Floor 3 is just a day away and we couldn’t be more excited! Fans of Killing Floor and other Tripwire games know that launch is just the beginning, and tomorrow is no different. Introducing the Killing Floor 3 Year 1 Roadmap:[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]New free content including maps, weapons (and their mods), challenges (enemies and difficulties), and a new perk and specialist are headed your way![/p][p][/p][p]Starting with the Rearmament Update players can look forward to several new tools of the trade joining their arsenal:[/p]
  • [p]M14 EBR Mod 0 (with 4 new mods)[/p]
  • [p]MKR-350 Assault Rifle (with 4 new mods)[/p]
  • [p]Streik Dual Defender Shotgun (with 3 new mods)[/p]
[p]
[/p][p]Along with these new additions, players can expect the perk and specialist decoupling work to be completed, allowing the choice of any specialist to be any perk, and several major quality of life improvements based on player feedback.[/p][p][/p][p]We’ll be sharing more details and sneak peaks at many of these items as we get closer to them landing in player hands.[/p][p][/p][p]Looking into the more immediate future, players can expect a series of hotfixes in the days and weeks ahead as we work to address items that have shown up in the stress tests as well as new items that come up around launch. One of those key items is performance on many systems.[/p][p][/p][p]Currently the game is fairly CPU bound and that will be many systems performance bottleneck.  The team has been working to optimize various systems as well as figuring out the cause of performance spikes and hammering them down. In the meantime, we do have several performance improvement suggestions available on the KF 3 Support Site.[/p][p][/p][p]We look forward to seeing you on the Killing Floor, now let’s go slay some Zeds![/p]
