Patch update 0.8.8a

Dear crafters,

so after another great reports and feedback, I'm bringing you below listed Patch notes:

Patch notes 0,8,8a

Changes:

- *NEW* Sales Menu filter for items implemented
- *NEW* Crafting Menu with subcategories and recipe tiers
- *NEW* water shader for Mirstone (also different sunset/sunrise rotations) and Wanborne
- increased the starting amount of materials
- tooltip descriptions for missing quest was added
- Ursury from villagers is now unlocked with Sales Menu
- Barter from villagers is now unlocked after Expansion quest (Smelter)
- bulletin board(quests) moved closer to the camera
- 'Razor Lance' will now roll with Crit. C. instead of Crit. D.
- Horseshoe and Pickaxe sales now also adds to city development
- Medium gemstone patches (50+ dust) were a bit nerfed and will contain same or +1 lvl guardians max
- Enchanting device is removed from Builder vendor as there is only one valid for now

Bug fixes:

- 'Angelic Wand+Pendant' and 'Blood wand+band' will be properly shown at Rare goods vendor (new game necessary for old pieces to disappear)
- Builder merchant will sell 'Smelter Fluxshelf' and 'Smelter Working Table' upgrades
- overlapping notifications of staff should no longer persist in menus
- Kris dagger is displayed in Armory of the gladiator
- child sounds won't persist in Wanborne, along with 'flying children'
- fixed 'Villagers' with Ursury and Barter to function in Wanborne
- fixed 'Smelter 4' repeat crafting button
- recalibrated the sounds of pigs and kids in Mirstone
- fixed some item mistranslations
- marketplace and kids sounds will no longer be heard when going to World map
- Ursury and Barter will not be triggered through Sales or Inventory Menu UI
- pressing 'Skip night' during 5am hour flow will not skip another day ahead
- fixed water color flicker in Wanborne
- chests, safes, flags and rod/skulls will move to Wanborne when left in workshop (for pre-patch saves, replace the item again in workshop to count)
- Overseer silver mining value is now multipliable by 5
- Smelter 3 repeat crafting can be now turned off
- Book of Knowledge menu is now scrollable in case of many employees
- after knocking down opponent with 0 HP, he will not stand up in Arena battles
- buying paper from marketplace won't display it's gain under gemstone dust location
- fixed 'Rare Chemical Compound' display in Sales Menu
- fixed overlap of Gemstone deposits, however, this means, that only one deposit will be displayed at that position


Please let me know, if you encounter some bugs of things that are listed here as fixed. There may sometimes be a situation on how I can't reproduce it even after a lot of tests, because my play style is different.
I'll check it out tomorrow and will create also a new topic on forums where I will update on what I'm currently working on, so there are no duplicate bug reports.

*WIP* Patch Update

Hey blacksmiths,

so, just wanted to share with you some exciting update that I was able to do. Basically, the menus are done, just need to perform some tests.

Next step that was annoying me for longer time was the glitching water in Wanborne, so rolled up my sleeves and implemented new shader that looks very awesome, check it out!

Implemented some different sunset and sunrise for Mirstone and I love the new look!

Also, for Wanborne, no more glitching water and much better visual display!


Apart from that, I'm fixing bugs that I've found, so wrapping it up and patch will be coming out tomorrow.
If you find something odd or weird, please report it, so we get as much bugs as we can fixed!

UI Overhaul *WIP*

Greetings crafters,

just wanted to inform you about the upcoming changes that will be implemented in the next patch!
Since there's not that many bug reports anymore (thank god :D ) I have some time to move forward and currently latest suggestions from the community were about the Sales Menu and Crafting Menu.

1. Sales Menu - filters



Pretty self explanatory, brings a lot more overview in the Sales Menu, so I'm definitely happy for it.

2. Crafting Menu - overhaul



Thanks to @tamaskan on Discord, I was given his sketch of how the Crafting Menu could look better and more effective. Picture on the left (red) is the old - current version and the right part (green) is the one that I'd look like in next patch.

Most of the stuff will be done that way, only thing that probably won't be possible to implement is that 'search bar' thing, but I'll do my best!

It should take a day or two to finalize it and polish these changes, so stay tuned and share some love!

Patch Update 0.8.8 *Villagers first part implementation*

Hello blacksmiths,

after a lot of feedback checks, bug fixes, re-balancing, re-shaping, I bring you new patch, that in my opinion works well and I'm very happy to present this to you!
I've double checked everything, but, since I'm just a human, let me know what bugs you'll find!

Restarting the game is recommended! If you have a save after the Prologue part, you should be fine, but if you haven't finished it yet, better start over, it's definitely worth it!

Patch notes 0.8.8

Changes:

- *NEW* Villagers - added new events where every day some villagers can ask for money or materials barter (let's start slow with this feature, I don't want to screw something up, let me know how it feels, I personaly like this little addition!)
- *Prologue re-designed* - bulletin board opens up early on
- limited camera rotation ~60° using Z / C buttons or RMB
- autosaves won't happen during quest pop-ups
- tutorial lady HUD was resized and repositioned to not overlap important parts of UI
- Runes, Gems, Books, Potions and Scrolls will no longer be counted into inventory space
- quick time events in battle now have a bit longer duration

*Left torch on the wall in Main Menu screen is for 2 players who somehow got their Main Menu UI removed, clicking on it will show Flag menu and hide Changelog. This function will remain there temporarily. Hope it'll help!*

Bug fixes:

- 'Earn 100 gold' achievement will no longer mark a dot for Build menu indicating something is new there
- Crafting Techniques of all blacksmiths will be visible after unlocking this feature
- fixed a bug that caused common items to go on sale loop when loaded from a particular save situation
- 'Mithril Ingot' and 'Rare chem compound' will now be able to be cancelled from the production bar
- adamantium mine expenses will be cleared on payday
- recalibrated the Tavern opening hours to reflect them more precisely
- fixed wrong Battle stance stamina reduction
- summoned skeletons from Drezhul will now be removed after Haunted Crypt 2 and Spider Cave 2 battles
- turning 'skip night' off will no longer cause auto skip again
- fixed a bug where after defeating Bandit group 2, Terrick might not be able to explore the map until reload
- Black diamond recipe will be now properly crafted
- fixed a bug that caused World map to be accessible during 'reward chest' event
- fixed a situation where reloading game wouldn't enable back accessing World map
- moving to Wanborne will no longer restore cached data from previous save
- fixed a potential bug that could stop loading the autosave right when it was saved before the quest pop-up
- magical gems/runes will be now visible in Sales Menu

So now I'll go back to finishing *Villagers* feature. What will be added in the upcoming patches:

3rd Option - Person comes to the shop with some specific item craft request - e.g. Item needs to be at least 80% above quality, or some technique has to be used on it, in later stages of game
4th Option - Time oriented orders - Item has to be crafted within X days with Y amount of stuff.


After these 4 options are well implemented, I can multiply their quantity, if someone will still really feel, that it's empty. :)

*Villagers* WIP 2

Hello dear fans and players,

just want to inform you that I'm in the middle of the 'Villagers' feature, but I'll take one more day before the first part of this gets released as I want to polish it out more and fix some new bugs that occured.
This day was very productive but also exhausting ofc.

And additional part of 'Villagers' feature included in the patch will be:

2. Barter

As it's pretty self explanatory, I don't have to probably add any more comments. This part took me longer than I expected, simply because of the quantity of options that you can actually barter in this game. It is still a young feature and will take weeks/months to get fully enhanced.

You can trade materials for gold and also for other materials. Value of the trade will vary on type of resource and quantity.

I want the player to see what is being offered before he clicks on it and gets options to 'Accept' / 'Decline' as it's more convenient.

This patch will also bring you 60° rotation possibility for camera. @Fluffy - thanks to you buddy!

In Wanborne, it's around 80° as that location allows it more. Why limited? Because the front and right side walls culling is working in optimized way and if you'd be able to rotate it 360°, it would start to be more demanding as culling of the walls would have to be calculated per frame, per rotation.

So, tomorrow will polish 1. Ursury and 2. Barter and together with some newly reported bugs and can release it for you guys!
