Version 1.4.2

Fixed a crash that would occur when two Treants heal each other at the same time

  • Irali should now work correctly with Adapt and Hibernate.
  • Match history is now ordered correctly.
  • Hibernate and Adapt no longer influence Power damage, only Abilities.
  • Hibernate damage changed from [70%/100%/175%] to [80%/120%/160%]
  • Adapt damage changed from [40%/60%/100%] to [50%/75%/100%].

[h2]Unit Balance[/h2]

  • The Grenadier's bombs can no longer bounce to the same target twice.
  • The Grove Tender will now heal the most damaged ally within range, instead of the closest ally.
  • Kiros' ability silence duration reduced from 1.5 seconds down to 1 second.
  • Shadowstalker basic attack damage increased from 24 to 29. Attack speed reduced from 1.5 down to 1.25.
  • Voidbeast basic attack damage increased from 36 to 39. Attack speed reduced from 1.3 down to 1.2. Health increased from 950 to 1000.
  • Mana Hound ability damage increased from 140 up to 160.
  • Mortar basic attack damage reduced from 93 down to 56. Attack speed increased from 0.3 up to 0.5.
  • Grove Tender healing reduced from 150 down to 120. Percentage damage based on attack damage has been set to a constant 150%.
  • Lightsmith hammer throw base damage increased from 35 to 65. Percentage damage based on attack damage has been set to a constant 120%.
  • Darkmage base ability damage increased from 70 to 125. Damage per dead ally within 1 tile reduced from 90 down to 30.
  • Ascended health increased from 1200 to 1300. Ability damage increased from 150 to 165.
  • Spirit Wolf health increased from 1000 to 1100. Ability damage increased from 165 to 175.
  • Treant health increased from 1175 to 1300. Basic attack damage increased from 52 to 59.
  • Phoenix damage taken on ability cast reduced from 9% down to 7%.

  • Heavy Gunner health increased from 775 to 850. Basic attack damage increased from 22 to 25.

[h2]Power Balance[/h2]

  • Noble Sacrifice can no longer prevent Hibernate from stunning the bearer on battle start.
  • Harden no longer prevents the fatal damage received and will heal after the damage has been processed.
  • Vortex damage increased from 45 to 75.
  • Primal Fury now reads: Every 4 seconds, the bearer deals [40%/60%/80%] and allies within 1 tile deal [20%/30%/40%] of their basic attack damage to all enemies within 1 tile of them as magic damage.
  • Icy Chill now reads: Every 10 instances of damage dealt by the bearer freezes the target in place, dealing [25/35/60] blunt damage, stunning and silencing them for [0.7/1/1.2] seconds.
  • Courage now reads: Every 5th basic attack deals [80%/120%/200%] extra damage as blunt damage.
  • Clear Mind now reads: Every 6 seconds, the next instance of damage from abilities or powers deals [70%/105%/125%] extra damage as pierce damage.
  • Battle Shout duration reduced from 3 seconds down to 2.5 seconds. Attack speed increase reduced from 0.4 down to 0.2.
  • Adrenaline attack speed gained reduced from 30% down to 22%.
  • Mana Blade mana gain increased from 10% up to 12%.
  • Unholy Strength damage gain reduced from 32 down to 22.
  • Redirect increased magic and pierce damage taken reduced from [20%/30%/40%] down to [15%/20%/25%].
  • Divine Reflection damage increased from 10% to 14%.
  • Drain Essence lifesteal increased from [15/20/35]% to [15/22/37]%
  • The attack speed reduction of Deadly Ooze has been reduced from 20% down to 10%.


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]

  • Fixed a bug where units would appear to be on full mana without using abilities.
  • Fixed a bug where challenging a friend constantly shows "Challenge Canceled by Opponent".
  • The Berserker should now work correctly with Adapt and Courage.
  • Fixed a bug where a lower level Power would override a higher level Power when applying buffs or debuffs.
  • Pilfer should now steal the correct amount of damage from enemies.
  • Titles should now properly stack indefinitely.

Strike the current target, silencing them and all enemies in a 1 tile cone from the target for [1.5/2.5/3.5] seconds and dealing [80/120/200] pierce damage to the target.

[h3]New Power: Redirect[/h3]


The bearer takes [40/60/85]% reduced blunt damage but [20/30/40]% extra magic and pierce damage.

[h3]New Power: Vortex[/h3]


Every 3 seconds, deal [45/65/110] pierce damage to the nearest enemy within 2 tiles of the bearer.

[h2]General[/h2]

  • Powers now only require 2 additional copies to get from level 2 to level 3 instead of 3 additional copies. Additionally, all 3 mana cost powers have been reduced to 2 mana and balanced accordingly.

  • The base damage taken from surviving units has been reduced during the first 4 rounds of the match.

  • The Conqueror and Moneybags titles are now upgradeable by obtaining them multiple times.

  • You can now mute your opponent by right-clicking on their Deity.

  • Added game option to hide your opponent's name and profile picture.

  • Gold is now capped out at 50 000.


[h2]Balance[/h2]

  • Shadowstalker health increased from 450 to 600.
  • Phoenix health drained on cast reduced from 15% down to 9%.
  • Harden invulnerability duration reduced from 1.5 seconds down to 1 second.
  • Cruel Winter silence reduced from 3 seconds down to 1.5 seconds. Damage reduced from 100 down to 80.
  • Primal fury damage reduced from 55% down to 50%. Top end scale damage has been reduced as well.
  • Drain Essence extra lifesteal from Pierce Damage dealt reduced from 10% down to 5%.
  • Hibernate spell damage increased from 60% to 70%. Initial stun duration reduced from 5 down to 4 seconds.
  • Mana Blade has been reworked to give mana each time the bearer casts an ability as opposed to gaining mana based on ability damage dealt.
  • Wild axe splash damage reduced from 35% down to 25%. Miss chance reduced from [20/30/50]% down to [20/25/35]%.
  • Noble sacrifice health drained per ally reduced from 100 down to 80.
  • Icy Chill chance on attack increased from 8% to 10%.
  • Clear Mind chance to crit increased from 40% to 45%.
  • Rally shield increased from 85 up to 100.
  • Irali minion health increased from 70 to 105.
  • Reduced Mana Hound cast time.
  • The weakness from Piercing Strikes will now increase with level upgrades.


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]

  • Powers that apply a buff or debuff to a target will no longer stack independently from multiple casters.
  • Fixed a bug where Deadly Ooze would trigger itself on occasion.
  • Fixed a bug where selling Healing Affinity would still cause it to benefit the bearer.
  • The Berserker will now correctly ignore stuns while his ability is active.
  • Fixed a bug where Pocket Portal would allow a unit to teleport on top of another.

  • You can now gain gold from playing Whack-A-Sol. There is a chance for gold coins to appear in each cycle.


[h2]Balance[/h2]
We have received multiple reports from the community regarding certain units and powers, resulting in this immediate balance change being necessary. This will not be a regular occurrence going forward and our balance passes will occur at more regular intervals.

  • Phoenix ability damage reduced from 190 to 175. Max health drained on cast increased from 5% to 15%. While the highest ranked players have found ways around beating the phoenix, the vast majority of matches are dominated by the phoenix. Reducing the Phoenix's power is an attempt to make room for more creative drafts.

  • Mana Blade steal reduced from 4% down to 3%. Mana blade has seen too much play in too many drafts, especially phoenix-oriented drafts, where huge amounts of AoE damage resulted in very quick casts.

  • Lone Wolf now only requires the bearer to be more than 2 tiles away from allies instead of 3. Lone Wolf has seen little play due to how awkward positioning is with it. Reducing the distance needed should reduce this awkwardness.


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]

  • Additional checks and safety nets to prevent users losing connection at the start of a match, resulting in an empty board.

  • Added a minor delay between shuffling to prevent accidental duplicate shuffles.

  • Fixed a bug where summoned units would cause an unfair victory if summoned just as the round ends.

  • The movement line will now correctly disable if the opponent runs out of time while moving a unit.

  • Mana Shard will now ignore Militia units correctly when distributing.

  • Mana Blade will now correctly grant mana to units that deal damage immediately with their abilities.

  • The Damage Leaderboard will no longer continuously switch items with the same damage values.

  • Damage dealt from the Shadowstalker's ability should now correctly show on the leaderboard.

  • Hovering over the damage leaderboard when the game is over no longer causes it to flicker.

  • Fixed rounding errors with Primal Fury's description.

  • Fixed a typo in Sol's description.

  • Players can now gain gold from Solo Play to unlock new cards.

  • Interest is now gained for every 2 mana saved instead of 3.

  • Rating calculations have been adjusted to allow for easier ladder climbing while at low ranks.

  • Devourer health reduced from 1150 down to 1100.

  • Mortar damage if close increased from 160 to 190. Stun duration increased from 2 seconds to 2.2 seconds.

  • Adrenaline attack speed reduced from 35% down to 30%.

  • Primal Fury damage increased from 50% to 55%.

  • Mana Shard now ignores passive units when distributing.

  • The Berserker's stun immunity should now work correctly.

  • Fixed a number of execution order errors to prevent an empty screen on match started.
