Godsbane Release Date Announced

We are super excited to share that Godsbane will be releasing on 4th March!

The game has grown an incredible amount during the playtest period, for which we owe our eternal gratitude to the dedicated testers for their feedback. We are incredibly motivated and excited to continue pushing out quality content in the coming months.

[h2]General Changes[/h2]

  • A Treant's bond will now be cancelled on death.

  • Your global rank is now displayed after each ranked match.


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]

  • Fixed major issues around ranking calculations.

  • Fixed an issue where targeting lines were incorrect a lot of the time.

  • Fixed a bug where the sell effect plays during the placement phase.

  • Fixed some minor lighting issues in the menu.

If you haven't had a chance to try it out yet, head over to the store page and download the Playtest to prepare. You can also jump onto the Discord server and start playing right away.

Version 0.38.1

[h2]General Changes[/h2]

  • Gold from playing matches is now capped at 700 per day, shown in the main menu.

  • All Deities now have full voice lines.

  • Shiny new menu and background music, along with a ton of audio balancing.

  • The minimum rating change after a match has been increased to 5 and the maximum rating change has been increased to 50.


[h2]Unit and Power Changes[/h2]

  • Negate now deals % damage based on the max health of the enemy unit casting.


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]

  • Fixed a major bug that caused certain powers like Burst of Life to not work and others to work at double the rate.

  • Fixed a bug where the grenadier's grenades could bounce to the same target twice.

  • Fixed a bug where bots could place 2 units on the same tile.

  • Fixed a bug where queuing for Ranked or Unranked matches continuously fails.

  • Units will now always prioritize enemies that are up/down/left/right from them over diagonals.

  • Increased unit move distance per round to 5.

  • Sudden death now additionally reduces healing received by 80% for all units.

  • Bots should no longer play powers on units that cannot properly use them.

  • Shifted the rarities of many units and powers around.

  • General balancing changes across the board.


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]

  • Fixed a bug where "Sudden Death" is constantly displayed after it occurs once.

  • Fixed a bug where the effects of Sudden Death were not properly reset in the following round.

  • Fixed a bug where targeting lines were sometimes incorrect during the movement phase.

  • Fixed a bug where indicator lights showing which cards you could play were incorrect.

  • Steam Cloud should be working as expected again.

  • Damage dealt by the Sentinel's ability should no longer show up as auto attack damage.
