Update v0.27.3 - Big Optimizations and Changes

Update Patch v0.27.3 Is Live!
Changes:
• Redesigned the DVD Player Case Model for better optimization as well as looking a little more realistic now with a CD Drive Slot, Screen and Buttons.

 • Added a popup if you click 'New Game' a warning popup stating that it is highly advised to try the Tutorial.

 • Made some minor changes to the Furnace Operation - I have Halved the Multipliers for the Temperature Depletion and Raise Rates, this doubles the time that it takes for the Furnace to heat up and cool down, it does mean players have to wait twice as long, though now other tasks can be done while waiting rather than having to stand and wait at the furnace, I have also again, slightly lowered the amount of gas used while Gas Flow is greater than 0%.

 • Added a 60 second recurring Notification when the Furnace goes Idle (Finishes melting the Raw Material), so you can now run about and do other tasks with less worry of wasting gas - You can cancel the Recurring state of the Notification by either Removing the Molten Metal or Disabling the Gas Flow.

 • Improved Optimization for the Furnace by linking it to the new Reference Manager, which now works off the same 'Busy' system as most other Interaction Objects, so the Footstep sounds don't continue and the Crosshair is disabled while in the Furnace Panel.

 • Made it so The Crucible temperature is no longer saved, as this was causing a clash between Furnace and Crucible Temps.

 • Made it so while you are disassembling most outside Environment objects are disabled for a major FPS boost while disassembling, which will work well for future updates of adding more components to eWaste Objects, with better detail, without performance taking a hit.

 • Added LOD's to the Tools on the Tool board, improving optimization while away from home.

 • Made it so Inner Components that do not require a tool to be removed players will now need to put their current tool away and have hands free to be able to take out the Component which adds a touch of realism and also means players wont reach the 'end' of the game as fast as before.

 • Made it so players can no longer attempt to 'Start Disassembling' an eWaste object until you have stopped moving the Character, this is to help stop the Footstep sounds continuing after beginning disassembly.

 • Reworked Crosshair checking system, so if you Alt+Tab or mouse over to a Secondary screen while the crosshair is suppose to be disabled (ie while sitting at the PC or Disassembling) the crosshair will no longer automatically turn on while the Player is 'Busy'.

 • Made it so you can no longer change tools while you are currently using the tool, also you can no longer Exit while currently removing an object in Disassembly mode.

 • Added a temperature text next to the Gas Flow Percentage on the Furnace Panel that tells the player what temperature will be reached by using said Gas Flow.

 • Added a notification that presents if an Object has fallen through the ground, to let the player know that it has done so and has been transported to the Bug Box.

 • Made Screws have Individual Prefabs rather than 1 screw being scaled in size to suit it's parent object and all being the same weight, there are now 3 different screw sizes Small, Medium and Large, being 3g, 5g, 7g of Iron respectively, in turn this is one step closer to being able to make the tools interact with the Inner Component while disassembling.

 • Made it so Temporarily you can no longer Load the Game from inside the Game Scene itself, only from the Main Menu, as this was Duplicating Every Item in the Scene each time the Game Was Loaded.

 • Changed the Text that displays when Raw Materials are being added to your Inventory - It is now Green so it is a bit more visible.

 • Changed the Normal RMB Zooming function - If you you are using the PC the RMB Zoom doesn't zoom in as far as it does normally, so on a standard 1920x1080/16:9 Aspect Ratio Screens you will be able to see the entire PC Screen while using it.

 • Reworked the Sitting Position and Rotation for the PC so the view is now more squared up with your actual screen.
Fixes:
• Fixed Medium Capacitor LOD Levels so they are now Visible while Zoomed all the way out on Low Graphics Settings.

 • Fixed the PC Stock Market AVG Prices not being correctly updated.

 • Fixed The Scrap Yard Shop Building Collider Issue.

 • Fixed the Typo on the Pawn Shop Sign.

 • Fixed the Chemical Refining Set sometimes thinking it still has 'Dirty Chemicals' after finishing the process.

 • Fixed the 'Gold Corner BGA Chips' and 'CPU Chip' PCB Colours so they are more different and don't blend in with the Motherboard PCB Colour.

 • Fixed LCD TV and DVD Player Power Board Animations going underneath the Object.

 • Fixed the Pliers model on the wall so it no longer has a 'See-Through' face.

 • Fixed the eWaste/Junk Tab in the Index Guide - No longer displays outdated information about buying eWaste at the PC, it now says you Buy them at the Pawn Shop.

Hotfix - v0.27.2

Hotfix v0.27.2 Is Live!
Changes:
• Halved the Main Menu Furnace Ingot Remove Timer so less Ingots are on the scene at a time meaning better performance.

 • Instead of Vehicles in the Main menu spawning at a range of every 1-3 Seconds they now spawn every 3-10 seconds, increasing main menu performance.

 • Made the Visual Aesthetic Ship texture a little brighter so it doesn't look so dull because of the shadows.

 • Added a Toggle to Disable Ingot Flow and Cars on the Main Menu greatly improving optimization if you so choose.
Fixes:
• Fixed Gas Refill at the Hardware store not Refreshing the Gas Bottle Values and added a Notification.

 • Fixed Ingots from sometimes falling through the ground by making the collider a little bigger.

 • Fixed the 'What's new with Scrapping Simulator?' Panel it now shows when the version doesn't match, no longer when a game save is not found.

Patch Update - v0.27.1

Update v0.27.1 Is Live!

As requested many a time, the Disassembly Controls have been modified and now support a Manual Zooming In and Out function, [RMB] No longer does anything while disassembling you will have to manually adjust the zoom level by Holding + Mouse Scroll Wheel to Zoom In and Out - However this has introduced a new problem of not being able to see both the tools on the Tool Board or even the tool you are currently holding while zoomed all the way in - This is something that was predicted to happen with adding this feature and is currently being worked on.
Changes:
• Optimized the Mail Box Script.

 • Remade the Crosshair to interact with objects, being solid normally, though while interacting it becomes hollow and green, for a bit more visual aesthetics while interacting with objects.

 • Reworked the Graphics settings - Added the ability to set to 'Custom' graphics under the 'Quality Pre-sets:' Dropdown, which enables a few extra options, like LOD Distance, Shadow Quality and Distance, Texture Quality etc.

 • Changed the Disassembly Zooming to be separate from the normal Right Click Player zooming, while disassembling you will now use + Mouse Wheel to Zoom In and Out, thus giving the player control over how far to zoom, being just right for each individual object size.

 • Optimized the main menu further with script and prefab changes to the Vehicles

 • Added a few different photos for the Loading Screen so its not the same Image over and over.

 • Made it so Pawn Shop Purchases now spawn On the Table near the Counter, so if another sale comes in it doesn't push your bought object away.
Fixes:
• Fixed Power Usage going up while the Game was Paused.

 • Fixed after Saving and Loading the Bill timer gets shorter and bills came more often.

 • Fixed some Screws not being assigned to the main screw prefab (thus not inheriting the 5g screw weight change).

 • Fixed incorrectly Displayed AVG Prices in the Scrap Yard Shop.

 • Fixed Interaction Text sometimes staying active after walking away from an object.

 • Fixed the 'Can not play a disabled audio source' Warning Error by instead of Disabling the Audio Source I have just muted it while Interacting so the continuous footsteps don't keep playing.

 • Fixed Index Guide not being able to be opened up on the PC after completing the Tutorial.

News - v0.27 Update

Hi all!

Over the last week I've been trying my hardest to find a way about preserving the v0.26.7 Update while also keeping Save Files, I had been sent a few save files that had been corrupted by the v0.26.7 update and with everything I tried I could not fix the corruption for all of the saves as fixing some would break others and vise versa.

So it has been a decision that I've been holding back from doing for some time now which is redesign the entire Save and Load system, meaning you will need to start over if you choose to Update to v0.27.

I am considering keeping a build on steam that stays at v0.26.6 for those who do not wish to start over until ready to update, which you will have to 'Opt In' via the 'BETAS' menu under the game Properties on Steam, as such the v0.26.7 has been progressed upon and will be considered the next content update of v0.27.

Once some outdated systems are re-worked and then re-create the Saving and Loading System in a new fashion that changes the Save type from Reference ID Data to Value Data making it theoretically impossible for the System fail after updating a Object.
Below is a sneak peek of what is to come in v0.27.

A Hardware store has been Added to move the Upgrade Purchases from the Pawn Shop, a place to buy the Buckets for storage and the Furnace/Chemical Sets, the Pawn Shop is now being used for some random sales of eWaste as well as the normal ability to buy unwanted eWaste/Ingots from you.

Thank you all for being so patient I hope I can make it up to you all with this next big update
