Happy Lunar New Year Hoteliers! 🐎

[p]Hello Hoteliers![/p][p]As we welcome in the Year of the Horse, we wanted to wish our players a joyful and prosperous Lunar New Year! [/p][p]To mark the occasion in Hotel Architect, last month we launched the Management Update, featuring the brand-new 'Lunar New Year' Content Pack. Today, we're taking a closer look at everything included in this add-on![/p][h3]How to Access The Lunar New Year Content Pack: [/h3]
  1. [p]The Lunar New Year Pack will appear in the Add-ons section of the main menu.[/p]
  2. [p]It can be toggled on or off all year round alongside the Christmas and Halloween Add-ons. [/p]
  3. [p]Once toggled on, the Lunar New Year items will then be available to purchase for your hotels! [/p]
[h3]The Lunar New Year Content Pack includes:[/h3]
  • [p]10 New Furniture Items: Confetti Cannon, Couplet Decoration, Door Decoration (Single Door), Door Decoration (Double Door), Firecrackers, Fire wheel, Lantern (4 variations), Pillar (2 variations), Tanghulu snacks and Wall Decor. [/p]
  • [p]6 Surface Materials: 4 new wallpapers, and 2 new flooring options. [/p]
  • [p]3 Structure Items: Double Door (4 variations), Medium Window (3 variations), and Big Window (3 variations). [/p]
  • [p]3 Character Cosmetics [/p]

[/h3][p]As you can see, the new items include lanterns, confetti cannons and fireworks such as the fire wheel, firecrackers and door decoration. To see the confetti cannon and fireworks in action, you will need to press the 'Activate!' button when the item is selected. Then, simply sit back and enjoy the show! [/p][p]After activation, the fireworks and confetti cannon will need restocking by your maintenance workers before you can use them again.[/p][p]WARNING: If your guests or employees are too close by when you press the activate button, the fireworks will hurt them. So, always remember to enjoy the fiery spectacle from a safe distance... unless, that is, you want to invite ghosts into your hotel! Update v0.9.1.5 - Balances, Fixes, New Upgrades and Skills!

[p]Good weekend, Hoteliers![/p][p][/p][p]Today, we've got a quick hotfix for you, in the shape of v0.9.1.5! We've made the following changes:[/p]
  • [p]Custom characters now have the correct voice when appeared in game.[/p]
  • [p]UI now shows correct character type when switching between saved characters in Character editor.[/p]
  • [p]Guests can now leave tips for croupiers at the Money Wheel.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed bug that could cause characters to idle at Craps table.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed bug that could prevent supply service from refilling all supply stands.[/p]
  • [p]Updated community screenshots in main menu.[/p]
  • [p]Minor balancing tweaks (changes in tips amount, skill cost, etc...)[/p]

[/p][p][/p][p]From the very start of our Early Access journey, community feedback has always been at the heart of any changes we make, and it continues to play a huge role in shaping the game as we head towards 1.0 this Spring. That's why over the weekend, the team has been working hard to incorporate your thoughts and feedback from the latest update, including balance tweaks, as well as a new upgrade and skill, which we hope you'll love!   • [p]Added “Salary Manager” upgrade, which automatically meets your staff’s salary expectations every time they level up.[/p]
  • [p]Added visualization of salary expectation in each character’s salary slider.[/p]
  • [p]Added columns “Salary expectation” and “Days until retirement” in Staff Overview.[/p]
  • [p]Added “Longevity Protocols” skill, which freezes aging for characters who have trained it.[/p]

  • [p]Increased the average default “Days until retirement” (average 80 days at level 1).[/p]
  • [p]Increased variation in default “Days until retirement” (15 days variation per level).[/p]
  • [p]Guests now pay for their stay at check-in instead of check-out.[/p]
  • [p]A 100% refund is now issued if a guest is kicked out.[/p]
  • [p]Slowed down mood loss caused by low salary.[/p]
  • [p]Reduced Rule by Fear mood change from -10% to -7.5%.[/p]
  • [p]Increased start money in scenarios (Gothenburg: 100k -> 200k, Santorini 100k -> 125k).[/p]

  • [p]The “Maintenance understaffed” warning is no longer triggered when the issue is caused by a broken item that requires a Technician-skilled staff member and none are available.[/p]

The Management Update Is Out Now!

[p]Hello Hoteliers! [/p][p]We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes, and today we’re thrilled to roll out a significant expansion to how you will hire, train and manage staff in Hotel Architect! [/p][h2]The Management Update Includes: [/h2][h3]New Features: [/h3]
  • [p]All-new staff training system: Skills can be levelled up (up to 5 skills per character), with 30+ staff skills available.[/p]
  • [p]Staff aging mechanic (seen as days until retirement). When close to retirement, you will start to see your employees gain wrinkles and their hair will grey. As time progresses, they will begin to move slower and use a walking stick. [/p]
[h3]Feature Updates and Changes: [/h3]
  • [p]An update to the current attributes system, breaking down attributes into “personalities” and “skills”. Personalities cannot be changed, whereas skills can be levelled up.  [/p]
  • [p]Added more depth to the staff salary system. Staff salary will no longer auto-increase upon levelling up, instead their expectations will now rise with XP level and skills will add extra cost. Staff salaries can be adjusted individual or by using bulk buttons. [/p]
[h3]New Items & Add-On Pack: [/h3]
  • [p]Age manipulator machine: Accessed via the upgrade tree, this is a sci-fi machine that lets you either age or de-age your staff... at the expense of another (so be careful!) [/p]
  • [p]Lunar New Year Add-on available now: featuring 10 new items, 6 materials, 3 structure items, and 3 character cosmetics. [/p]
[h3]General Additions and Improvements: [/h3]
  • [p]Improved character reactions and mood system. [/p]
  • [p]Recent bubbles (thoughts/comments) are now viewable in the character info window. [/p]
  • [p]Chargeable items (pinata, confetti cannon, firecrackers) are now automatically refilled by maintenance. [/p]
  • [p]7 New Steam Achievements! [/p]
