Bugfixes and improvements

- cave mission given more time and more visuals identifiers for slightly easier navigation.
- fireworks mission given 30 more seconds and speculative fix for stuck dialogue.
- fiberhop brews balanced
- boss plane: weakpoints are now correctly impervious to damage when not exposed.
- airship boss: can now properly be defeated unassisted in final battle sequence
- final boss: fixed bombs or alcohol rounds having lacklustre effect on engines. Fixed brief moments of side wall invulnerability.
- final sequence given more time and doubled boss decay rate
- speculative fix for the salvage crates self destructing on start.
- fix pressure washer visual and sound fx don't stop if plane crashes whilst holding ability
- fix alcohol rounds do not drain water charge and will fire when water charge is empty

- fix keyboard pitch/roll/yaw inputs have much greater input lag than the same inputs on controller

Changes:
- Recipe book filter by Distilled/Fermented option
- Recipe book sort by name/quality/ingredient option
- Recipe book remembers its selection until the brewery is exited
- Water Missiles are now a proper secondary weapon, meaning that they must be toggled to using the secondary weapon cycle before they can be used. They no longer autofire, instead once the lock is achieved they will maintain the lock for a few seconds during which the player can choose to fire one or both missiles, or not at all. For people who prefer the previous implementation they can choose this by turning on Settings/Controls/Autofire Missiles. Note that this setting change will only take effect after the plane gets reset by going in an out of the hangar.

Thanks for continuing to play the game and providing feedback, we do take everyone's comments and bug reports on board when deciding what to do next even if we can't always respond to everybody.

Bugfix and tuning patch

- Additional fixes to prevent black screen in salvage minigame
- Prevent collection of two crates at once in salvage minigame
- Fix ingredient spawners that have been harvested incorrectly displaying the unharvested visual model which then would not yield any fruit when shot
- Fix brew bottle not correct when creating brew from purchase panel, note that some bottles created prior to this patch may still not come out correct, but all bottles from this patch on should be fine
- Fix incorrect date on the loan UI panel
- Fix wrecks that have been fully salvaged will no longer be highlighted when the highlighter ornament is equipped
- Fix tutorial could be softlocked if the final ring of the ring section was entered at the very side of the ring
- Board game dice values reset properly between games
- Fix initial drop in speed when boosting

There are a couple of reported bugs that we have been unable to repro so additional diagnostics have been added, if you encounter either of these please submit a bug and the logs will help us to find out what is happening:
- Pirate encounters sometimes do not terminate properly (e.g. you defeat the boss, but the smog dome remains)
- Sometimes after making a successful delivery the bar owner may become angry with you and then you have to make amends.

Tuning:
- Reduced cost of hangar repair and refuel by 20%
- Additional trait for Vacuum boost, which will now self repair above 400kts
- Additional trai for Recovery Package, pilots are immune to incapacitation in a crash
- The player will now start the game with all 1* recipes in the recipe book, since these are easy to guess and not very valuable it means that recipes awarded through the crates and bottles are more likely to be something that will benefit the player

Options:
- Manual mode orbital camera time options added
- Mouse X and Y axis can now be bound

Thanks for supporting us as we continue to try and improve the game, please keep your bug reports and suggestions coming in, even if we can't respond right away we do actually look at them all.
Hopefully the next patch will include some kind of recipe shop.



Bugfix and recipe/contract balancing

- Fix compact fuselage hydro boost bonus not working
- Fix Irena void visuals sometimes not disappearing correctly
- Prevent docking when Irena void effect is active
- Fix plane stuck detector getting stuck and not resetting the plane
- Fix torpedo could be targeted by copter or auto turrets
- Fix controller navigation issues in the hangar, unable to create new light plane or sell plane
- Fix tumble frame VFX stuck on plane if it crashed
- Fix for unpausing landmark dialogue
- Fix for lower screen UI visuals cut off for widescreen users
- Fix floating bottles in bar
- Camera fixes and softlock prevention in final battle
- Fix bad looking propeller blur
- Pilot traits not working when starting a non-tutorial game
- Fix Pelican and Pipe not offering you a contract on day 1 if you quit the conversation and restarted it
- Fix bar sales panel incorrectly reported fame from sales (modifiers were excluded)
- Contract frequency for bars increased across the board, particularly for The Thirsty Sailor and The Pelican and Pipe

Balance:
- Dijana bad ingredient trait chance reduced from 10% to 5%
- Fame from bar sales reduced by 50%
- Compact frame boost modifier reduced to +1% per cargo unit
- Easy mode repair cost reduced by 75%
- Easy mode fuel cost reduced by 50%
- Recipe and contract generation limits what it will award according to fame level in Easy and Normal mode. It works with these ranges:
0 - 10000 only recipes and contracts using group 0 ingredients are awarded (no upgrades needed)
10000-20000 only recipes and contracts with group 0 or group 1 ingredients are awarded (upgrade level 1 required)
20000-30000 group 2 (upgrade level 2)
> 30000 no restrictions.
Hard mode continues to use the existing RNG system without group restrictions.

- Contract quality requirements increase as fame increases for Normal and Hard mode. For normal mode > 50k fame contracts will start to require 1*, > 75k it will be 2*. Hard mode is 30k-50k 1*, 50k-75k 2*, 75-100k 3*.

We hope that these balance changes will make the early game a bit less starved for income as there will be more contracts and the contracts will not require any upgrade purchases. We know that recipe discovery is is still a major issue and we are working to add more ways to acquire recipes as well as a bit of an overhaul of brewing in general, but that is a bit of a larger job.

Bugfix and tuning patch

  • Fix ingredients not spawning in post end game
  • Fix paints not purchasable under some conditions
  • Fix restarting save game from floating market now works
  • Fix bar conversation softlock with empty dialogue box
  • Fix bar conversation sometimes not displaying player options as menu but playing them sequentially
  • Clamp maximum buoyancy to try and avoid planes being catapulted into the sky
  • Reset water after salvage minigame to try and prevent unexpected submersion after returning
  • More validation when saving, if an unexpected error occurs a message box will appear to take you to the main menu and a prompt to contact us for help
  • Save games with no player planes will now load instead of hanging, even though technically you should not have been able to delete all your planes
  • The water cost of the standard light plane projectile is decreased, allowing for more shots before a refill is required.
  • Brew of 2-5star values decreased by 20-30% because players found they were advancing to the end content far too quickly when higher quality brews were stocked in their bar. This resulted in players reaching the end without a proper combat plane or enough combat know how, thus the lowering of their value.
  • Flight instrument location support added. Your Altitude and Speed can now be positioned on the upper or lower portion of the screen, particularly more useful for widescreen users.


Thanks for your continued patience as we work through the issues, we will continue to put out patches with more fixes and improvements as frequently as we can.

A special note to anyone experiencing issues loading a saved game, please do get in touch with us right away either by email or on discord. We are often able to fix up save game files so they work and we really don't want anyone to lose their progress. There are a couple of people who have submitted bug reports and their save games can be restored, but we don't know how to get in touch with them.

Bugfix and tuning patch

- Fix Ena-Franci softlock after boardgame, also a fix for savegames that ran into this problem and could not restart the mission, if you go back the The Opal Retreat with Ena and Franci it should fix the data and allow you to continue
- Fix Pluck'n Plunder controller inputs not working
- Fix softlock when 2 crates are salvaged at once
- Fix harshly blurred visuals in time trial race and on propellers
- Fix manual/controller mode rudder inputs causing the plane to slow down unexpectedly
- Fix Tour Plane pilot passing out causing softlock, for the duration of this minigame the pilots will not become fatigued
- Fix a number of brew recipes that could not be created
- Fix 4 and 5 star brew achievements, these should also be awarded retroactively if you begin a game with a 4 or 5* brew in your brewery inventory
Balance:
- Light plane bomb radius increased by 40%
UI:
- Ingredients that require an upgrade to be collected will now display the upgrade level on their icon in the map and recipe book.

Sorry again for all the the frustrations caused by the issues, we will continue to make fixes and improvements as quickly as we can.
