We’re excited to give you a behind-the-scenes look at how we’re developing roads and mountain paths in Alaska Gold Fever using Unity. It’s a combination of technical prowess and creative vision, and we wanted to share the details with you!






To make roads feel naturally integrated into the environment, we use terrain blending techniques. Unity’s terrain tools allow us to sculpt the land around the roads, smoothing out harsh edges while still retaining the realistic undulations of the environment.





The foundation of our mountain paths starts with Unity’s terrain system and heightmap manipulation. We carefully carve out natural paths by lowering and raising the terrain to create slopes, ridges, and flat walkable surfaces.






For smoother navigation, we bake ;) pathfinding data into the terrain, allowing NPCs and wildlife to traverse these roads and paths naturally without needing real-time calculations.

This eerie landscape, ravaged by past wildfires, is marked by blackened tree trunks and ashen ground.

Despite its haunting appearance, this area holds hidden treasures for the brave. But beware—dangerous wildlife and unstable terrain make it a treacherous place to explore!

Our graphics got a major upgrade, and we can’t wait to show it for you!

Our mountains are looking better than ever! We’ve made the rocky peaks and rugged terrain more realistic, so when you’re climbing up or sliding down, it feels like a real adventure.





Not much trees on those GIFs ;) but even those single ones are small pieces of art!
Tall pines and other kinds trees will join your adventure!
