BETA Patch Notes 0.66

General

-Made some sprite sheet changes that should lower load times slightly.
-You can now verify that Steam Cloud is active via text at the bottom of the title screen.

Enemies

-Removed one Leptisaur from Leptisaur's monster deck.

Bug Fixes

-Fixed a crash bug that would happen in Spider Queen battles involving arrows bouncing off of Intricate Web.
-Attempted to fix a crash bug that could happen when losing a dungeon battle as Sojourner.
-Playing Duplication with only a Living Blight as your other card will now let you duplicate the Living Blight, instead of letting the Living Blight trigger and soft lock the game.
-Fixed a bug that caused Trebuchet to enter play with 0 counters when it was "gained" from outside the game.
-Fixed a slight visual bug where Trebuchet and Acolyte would not be aligned correctly when "gained" from outside the game.
-Fixed a small text error in the upgraded "Rest" card.
-Fixed a bug where a Corrupted Townsfolk with "Aggressive" wouldn't enter play angry.

"Rise of Ventra" Beta Test Has Begun!

Hey all, I just got back from a two month hiatus! Just before I left, I released a private beta test, and today it's been made public. This version revamps Gideon's card pool and adds Ventra as a brand new playable character. The beta test is on a separate branch on Steam, so you have to follow specific instructions to join it:

1. Right click "Mage Tower: Call of Zadeus" in your Steam library.
2. Click "Properties" in the popup menu.
3. Click the "Betas" tab in the window that pops up.
4. Under "Private Betas" you will see an empty box, and a button that says "Check Code". Go ahead and type the secret code "ventrasummer" with no quotes in the box, then click the button.
5. Accept the invite.
6. From the window with the "Betas" tab you got to in step 3, click the drop-down menu next to "Beta Participation" and select the option "ventra-beta - A beta branch for testing the...."

Note that I'm still getting organized from returning to development. In the coming weeks I'll be testing the game myself, fixing bugs, and posting more detailed info about the patch.

Huge Patch (edit: *Beta Test*) Coming August 4th! I'll be away until then!

[p]Hey all, I'll keep this short and sweet. On August 4th I'll be releasing a new playable character - Ventra. She'll have her own card pool and is a master of necromancy, elemental spells, and the banned magicks. Bug Fixes

-Fixed a bug where Magical Barrage would not retain its level between battles.
-Temporarily removed text from the Zadeus monsters Altrus, Shadow of Despair, and Vixirath as their abilities interacted with the old prize card system which no longer exists. (They will be given new abilities later.)
-Fixed a bug where Hero Hunter could not be played after it was acquired with Cosmigorius Tamer.
-Fixed a bug where Irko's Cosmigorius, Stone Golem, and "Araxis, the Underworld" would have glitched stats when acquired with Cosmigorius Tamer.
