GHPC Update 20240401.1

GHPC Early Access has been updated to version 20240401.1.

This is a minor update, introducing new adjustments and bug fixes.

[h2]FEATURES AND ADJUSTMENTS[/h2]

  • Removed April Fools Day content (T-54A will remain as a reserve tank for the East German forces in campaign, but M47 is out of theater)
  • Modified campaign logistics mechanic to send reinforcements more frequently, but their effectiveness is capped and they diminish each time (requires a campaign started after this update to observe the changes)
  • The logistics section of campaign briefings may now include a small note about recent reinforcements
  • Reduced team health impact per mission in campaign
  • Made T-62's minimum campaign spawn chances higher
  • Made Hind pilots less defiant in the face of incoming fire
  • Added more names to credits

  • Fixed some parts of smoke grenade effects not showing up
  • Fixed stray smoke cloud appearing in midair when smoke shells were landing
  • Fixed some armor/component tagging issues
  • Fixed an issue where some Soviet crew voices would glitch out if a target was spotted at 60 (6000 mils, hull rear)
  • Fixed possibility of a catastrophic detonation with a turret throw not killing all occupants of the compartment who have not yet bailed out
  • Fixed script errors
  • Fixed a log spam issue
  • Fixed AI vehicles behaving oddly while player was solving an easter egg

GHPC Early Access has been updated to version 20240401.

This is a regular update, introducing new features, adjustments, and bug fixes. There's nothing strange about the update. Today is an ordinary day.

  • Added a new West German (Bundeswehr) tank
  • Added a new Pact tank

  • Added new two-part mission series "Retro Rumble" in Fulda Outskirts
  • Added 3BM8 APDS ammunition for 100mm guns (available at lowered Pact logistics states in campaign)

  • HEAT penetrator jets are now a different size and color in AAR to improve readability
  • HEAT and HE detonations are now explicitly mentioned in the AAR shot log text sequence
  • Orbit camera distance changes are now smoothly animated
  • Reworked M60A1/M60A3 armor model to fix glitches
  • Optimized AI vision checks
  • Improved efficiency and stability of numerous code systems
  • Made M901 ITV less resistant to crew panic and missile unit damage
  • Reduced the amount of time for which AI gunners will be willing to "blind-fire" after their target moves into concealment
  • Slightly increased clarity of Pact night sights

  • Fixed an issue where some shot impacts created excessive CPU and memory load, potentially leading to a crash
  • Fixed Soviet loader in T-62 not announcing rounds loaded
  • Fixed grid pattern appearing with high amounts of screen blur

  • Fixed CAS planes loitering forever if they can't find a target
  • Fixed BMP-2 having no turret traverse drive sound
  • Fixed shots reporting wrong timestamp in AAR
  • Fixed some vehicle fire smoke effects suddenly increasing in size
  • Fixed suitcase item on T-80B intersecting with radio aerial
  • Fixed track animation glitch on M2 IFV
  • Fixed some parked vehicles in Soviet menu scene having their convoy lamps illuminated

  • Adjusted performance and gearing of T-80B to better match real life stats
  • Modified some mission setups
  • Re-tuned default AI to use a lower speed in combat
  • Further decreased BMP-1 accuracy over range, as well as reducing its precision for estimating target speed and distance
  • Removed engine smokescreen from T-80B for historical accuracy
  • Fixed unlockable missions re-locking when the unlock mission was lost after previously being won
  • Fixed an issue that prevented stabilizers from turning off when restocking began
  • Fixed audio levels for T-80B engine
  • Fixed T-62 engine smoke system being unusable
  • Fixed an issue that made AI gunners get distracted and look at inconvenient angles
  • Fixed coaxial machine gun ballistic scale on 1G42 not being accurate
  • Fixed joystick/controller not being able to zoom in all the way in multi-step sights
  • Fixed smoke from burning vehicles expiring too early
  • Fixed radio ping appearing when exiting free cam

Release of T-80B tank for Soviet forces

Notable characteristics:

  • 125mm smoothbore cannon with access to the newest Soviet ammunition
  • Modern 1A33 fire control system with laser rangefinder, automatic lead and superelevation, delta-D, cant correction, and more
  • 1G42 gunner's sight with automatic and manual modes for range adjustment
  • Passive night vision sight with manually adjustable range scale
  • Composite upper hull armor (steel and glass textolite) reinforced with high-hardness surface plate
  • Composite turret armor (steel and "kvartz" ceramic)
  • Turbine engine


NOTE: Gun-launched ATGM "Kobra" is not implemented yet

  • Two new Instant Action missions featuring T-80B: Pushing Tin parts 1 and 2
  • T-80B training range mission
  • T-80B added to campaign

  • Added area triggers to ramps in training range missions
  • Mildly increased drag coefficients on 3BM22 and 3BM32
  • M901 can now have its missile tubes damaged individually

Release of T-62 tank for Soviet forces

Notable characteristics:

  • 115mm high-velocity smoothbore cannon with a selection of Soviet ammunition including late model APFSDS rounds
  • Basic gunsight with adjustable range setting and stadiametric rangefinder
  • Automatic shell casing ejection to assist the loader

  • Restored spotting reports system to the in-game tactical map, now with improved stability
  • Added a 3-second "grace period" to ammo restocking, where canceling within this period will undo the current ammo move in progress and quickly return the crew to fighting positions
  • Modified the labeling shown during restocking countdowns after a "cancel" command to clarify whether the move is going to be completed
  • Added PT-76B as rare low-logistics spawn for NVA in campaign
  • Improved efficiency of volumetric armor calculations

  • Fixed a bug where looking through smoke could cause a crew to see through trees as well
  • Fixed an issue where autoloader carousels could stop rotating or get out of sync after a restock
  • Fixed some command flow issues in Soviet crew voices
  • Fixed an issue with evaluation of layered armor under certain conditions, which could lead to incorrect behavior such as the T-64A glacis stopping I-TOW hits
  • Fixed T-64A compartment zone being penetrable from outside the armor in the rear
  • Fixed "flickering" Z-fighting effect in T-64A X-ray model
  • Fixed T-64A turret traverse drive not reacting to damage
  • Corrected name of T-64A main gun
  • Fixed issue with tail number of Mi-8
  • Fixed a rare bug where the M2 could restock 25mm ammunition over the capacity of its ready belts
  • Fixed a bug in projectile impact audio
  • Fixed an issue that prevented some mission triggers from activating
  • Fixed layout issues in some missions
  • Hatches now open on T-64A
  • Fixed error spam from some gunsight reticles
  • Fixed various script bugs that could lead to instability
