ARKSYNC - FULL RELEASE - 3.0.4.0

[p]Hope you're all having a great Wednesday! As for me, after 2 intense months preparing the full release of Arksync, I'm heading back to my regular job today... and daydreaming about the day I can work on Dykom Software full-time. I'll keep doing whatever it takes.

If you're enjoying Arksync, leaving a review on Steam really helps the game reach more players. And a huge thank you to everyone who already has, it honestly makes my day every time.

🔻Miscellaneous Updates

  • [p]Fixed a bug getting stuck on mission select. With the new default controller layout you couldn't select a mission. So from now on all in game UI like this uses the "A" to enter "B" to exit while disabling character inputs. The mission select now shows the button to press based on your controller. I'll be doing this for the Locker and Mod Bench soon too.[/p]
  • [p]When dodging you'll be getting more feedback. A subtle ricochet sound plays along with a notification showing how much damage you avoided. I know many miss this key detail, so hopefully this solves that.[/p]
  • [p]Automated enemy spawning. Some have been under the impression there's only a few enemies in the game while at the beginning of the game. There's more, but they show up as you get more E-Disks. Before, the enemy spawner had access to all enemies by E-Disk 35, but now you'll be encountering all enemies by E-Disk 25. For reference the Sentinel shows up at E-Disk 4, Minotaur Mech at 7, Cataract at 9, Railsythe at 15, Minotaur Missile Mech at 20, and Flak Tank at 25.[/p]

ARKSYNC - FULL RELEASE - 3.0.2.0

[p]Thanks for everyone jumping on board! It's nice to finally be doing updates on this and fixing it up. Got some cool stuff coming soon to the game[/p][p][/p][p]🔻New Default Controls[/p][p]This should fix a lot of issues people have had with the game, you can now jump "A" and "Left Bumper" buttons, and Dodge with "B" and "Left Trigger" at the same time. Top face button is now interact. And D-Pad controls weapon switching. These are the new default controls, but there's also a legacy preset, along with custom control settings. If you already had a custom control scheme you liked, it will automatically migrate into the new system, becoming you custom control setup.

🔻Miscellaneous Updates[/p]
  • [p]Dumpsite 51, when arriving player controls aren't being returned to get off CT-30. Very bad, but an easy fix.[/p]
  • [p]In the tutorial, Core Processor path, there's a missing camera volume that allows you to see a bullet trigger that opens the door there.[/p]
  • [p]Cargo Docks, Yellow keycard door isn't opening[/p]
  • [p]Terraponics, Water Station, Lockdown Room isn't playing music.[/p]
  • [p]The Cognate had some weird camera volume, fixed.[/p]
  • [p]Garage Depot now opens from the left and right side.[/p]
  • [p]Conveyor Rail Door with yellow keycard uses a bullet lock to open, wasnt linked[/p]
  • [p]Added a locker at the bottom of the rat game in Waste managment[/p]
  • [p]A Lockdown room in Waste Management had a UpHacker Node in wrong place.

[p]They said it couldn't be done, they said it shouldn't be done, but who's laughing now. Just wanna say thanks to everyone who's supported the game this far in. It's been a long wait are you're all the real MVPs in my book.[/p][p][/p][p]Alright I've added A LOT to Arksync:

🔻Episode 2[/p][p]Similar to E1, new levels open up, and find some E-Disks to access the Tram Station, and access the story mission.
[/p][p]🔻Episode 3[/p][p]I may have went a little crazy with this one, but mission levels open up and 3 story missions levels follow. Won't spoil it for ya.[/p][p]
🔻3 New Mission Levels[/p][p]Terraponics - A terraforming research station abandoned and overgrown with plant life.
Conveyor Rail - It's a train level! We've got a train level!!! I left a fun little activity at the end for you.
The Cognate - Do you believe in science?[/p][p]The original plan was 9 total story levels, but decided to go for quality over quantity, and that gave me more room for the story missions.
[/p][p]🔻Fishing Quest[/p][p]First find Gups in the fishing lodge outside the Garage, then begin the ultimate fishing adventure!

🔻Lockdown Event: Payload[/p][p]Shoot the cargo to push it along the tether and to it's dimensional destination.[/p][p][/p][p]🔻New Enemies[/p][p]The Railsythe - a laser beam blasting enemy that prefers a long distance kill.[/p][p]The Flak Tank - Fires 3 projectiles at once and rolls around deviously.
The Missile Minitour - It's the mech with a missile launcher.


🔻Miscellaneous Updates[/p]
  • [p]Renamed "Excavation Lift" to "Industrial Sublift", and gave it a new facelift.[/p]
  • [p]You can now delete user files[/p]
  • [p]You can now pause and see your current objective.[/p]
  • [p]Now you can find shield cells in the form of pickups.[/p]
  • [p]I think I fixed the steamdeck stretching, someone will have to let me know.[/p]
  • [p]We now have elevator technology[/p]
  • [p]Retical now flashes on kills[/p]
  • [p]Offsceen indicators on lockdown event objectives.[/p]

ARKSYNC - Update 1.6.0.1

🔻Holiday Event: Christmas!
Robby's decorating programming is at it again, but this time for all December! Look around the garage for the new Snowball Utility, but beware of the frosty curse that protects it! Snowballs will only be around during December!

🔻Weapon Mod Benches in Levels
Every level now has at least one weapon mod bench somewhere in it. This should add a new level of progression to the game mid run.

🔻Ammo Drops
Most enemies now have a small chance to drop Ammo, and when Ammo is low Robby might throw you some ammo too!

🔻Miscellaneous Updates
  • Utility Bubble Barrier - You can now stack charges for more barrier time. Each charge is 1 sec.
  • Added a Utility Power box to the right of the hanger for quick utility recharging.
  • Wall GIB effects now disappear correctly.
  • Fixed a bug where if jumping on the edges of the large horizontal gates you could get stuck in the fall animation and not move.
  • Fixed a bug where a massive cluster of Ammo would be at the end of the the cargo level.
  • Snowballs hit the right things now.
  • Sometimes Health would be at zero when returning to the game. This won't happen anymore.
  • Boss HUDs were disappearing after the first boss in a level. Fixed.



This update applies to the demo build (0.6.1.1) as well.
