The Morbid Metal Speedrun Challenge Begins

[p]Hey friends,[/p][p]With the newly updated demo now live on Steam, we’re kicking things into high gear by launching our first official Morbid Metal Demo Speedrun event![/p][p]How to participate:[/p][p]At the end of the contest, the record-holder will walk away with exciting rewards, including a Morbid Metal Early Access activation key on Steam.[/p][p]Additionally, the speedrun event will include extra challenges for those who want to push Morbid Metal’s shapeshifting actions even further. The first challenge will run from February 20th to February 27th. A Better Morbid Metal Demo Experience

Hey guys! Today, we’re happy to share that a new update for the Morbid Metal demo is now live on Steam.

The demo is designed to give players a focused introduction to Morbid Metal’s stylish combat, shapeshifting mechanic, and relentless action roguelite progression.

  • Bug fixes and balancing improvement according to player feedback on Next Fest demo and private playtests
  • New final Elite enemy
  • New training area in the Void Hub
  • An Emporium before facing the Elite enemy


Languages: English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Simplified Chinese

With this update, our goal was to refine that experience and make every run feel smoother, clearer, and more enjoyable. In addition, the demo now supports more languages, allowing even more players to experience the game in their preferred one.

More news about the Early Access release is coming soon, and we’re looking forward to sharing details as development continues.

Upcoming Playtest: New Character, New Systems, New Depth

Hey guys,

We’ve been shaping Morbid Metal into something sharper since the June demo. The upcoming playtest introduces a new character, new arenas, and the first look at the game’s economy and progression systems.

New Playable Character: Vekta


Vekta is the Operator’s rebellious creation, a ranged fighter who wields precise shurikens to control space with elegance and precision. They are graceful, methodical, and utterly unforgiving.



New Arenas in the Sublime Garden


The Sublime Garden expands with new arenas, improved layouts, and refined combat flow. Expect more verticality, tougher encounters, and fresh ways to master shapeshifting.



New Section: The Steel Sanctuary


After conquering the Sublime Garden, players descend into the Steel Sanctuary: a twisted city of steel and rusted ambition. Neon lights cut through shadowed streets where danger waits around every corner.



Boss Encounter


Face a powerful boss guarding the exit of each section in the Simulation. This new fight pushes your precision, timing, and adaptability to the limit.



Tokens and the Emporium


Earn Tokens during each iteration and spend them in the Emporium for HP, Routines, and other upgrades. Tokens vanish when the run ends. Every choice matters.



Meta Progression


Unlock permanent upgrades between runs through the Neural Nexus, Protocols, and Corpora. Each system deepens your long-term progression and rewards mastery across all characters.
