Because a large part of our pipeline depends on Animate project files, this creates real risk for future updates and new releases.[/p][p][/p]
What this could mean (based on what we've seen so far)
[p][/p][p]There are three main concerns:[/p]
- [p]Our pipeline depends on Animate + Unity. A large portion of our production workflow relies on existing Animate project files.[/p]
- [p]After March 1, 2026, new installations may be restricted.
Based on Adobe's FAQ and what we were told by Adobe Customer Support, installing Animate in a new environment (new PC, fresh OS install, new build machine, etc.) may no longer be possible after March 1, 2026. Adobe also states that as of that date, new customers won't be able to download or purchase it.[/p]
- [p]After March 1, 2027, access to the app (and potentially project files) may be at risk.
Adobe's FAQ says app access/downloads are only available until March 1, 2027. We were also told by Adobe Customer Support that after that date we may no longer be able to open key project files (including FLA). If Animate becomes inaccessible, it could severely impact our assets and our ability to keep developing.[/p]
