Frozen June News

[p] [/p][p]Good evening, survivors. This is Marvin.[/p][p][/p][p]If this is your first time hearing from me, here's a quick intro. I'm not a developer or a designer. I'm just a regular person who helps test gameplay and talks with survivors, media folks, curators, and YouTubers. AJ is the one who actually designs, builds, and directs the game. Right now, AJ is on leave (not exactly by choice).[/p][p][/p][p]Anyway, we have some news to share.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]New Website for Achievers and Explorers[/p][p]Since I can't make games myself, I do what I can. That usually means typing. I've been making the FFN Universe DB, and I'm updating it regularly. I hope it helps as you explore Lumainaho State.[/p][p][/p][p]Everything on the site, including images and text, is free to use as long as it's not for commercial purposes. Feel free to use any of it for your blogs, wikis, articles, or whatever else you're working on.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]We Moved Offices[/p][p]We relocated from a cold, snowy, tree-filled town (not in Idaho) to a warmer, coastal one (not in Florida). This wasn't a scouting trip for new content. AJ's health hadn't been great, and the cold wasn't helping. [/p][p][/p][p]There are no gators or tornadoes here, and no Florida men either, but it is still a coastal city. If AJ ends up staying here long-term, that might help later when we begin developing Flostarida as a future update. [/p][p][/p][p]Speaking of Flostarida: Flostarida, where Rose grew up, is planned to be the next major state added after New Eve City in Flaming Friday Night. It won't be featured in FFN: EVE. Once the Lumainaho storyline wraps up in FFN: EVE, we're planning to introduce a new state set in the U.S. Midwest. No release date yet, though.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]So When Will AJ Be Back?[/p][p]I don't know. Maybe soon. But if we're unlucky, it might take longer.[/p][p][/p][p]I would like to say more, but there's a press embargo in place. We're not the ones who control it. It's being handled by a certain gentleman. And I'm not him.[/p][p][/p][p]Judging by the way things are going, it feels like it could be soon. Some parts of the embargo are already being lifted, just not the most important one yet. Once that last piece is lifted, AJ should be able to return within two months.[/p][p][/p][p]Here's a vague hint: what's currently happening in the desert veined with black gold is indirectly but significantly connected to all of this.[/p][p][/p][p]AJ is resting and gradually preparing to return to work. What's left now is the gentleman's final decision, and it's not ours to make. Over the past six months, AJ and AJ's neighbors have done everything they could.[/p][p][/p][p]Also, as we mentioned in a recent YouTube post, once AJ returns, FFN: EVE may shift to seasonal updates. This would help create a healthier development cycle and offer a better experience for survivors.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Thanks so much for sticking with us. Your support really does make a difference.[/p][p][/p][p]Stay tuned. Maybe your frequency should be set to Washington, D.C.[/p][p][/p][p]With gratitude,[/p][p]Marvin[/p][p]FFN Team[/p]

Frozen Discovery Survey

Good evening, survivors. This is the FFN Team.

We just put together a quick form to satisfy some of our frozen curiosities, specifically how you discovered FFN: EVE.

Feel free to take the survey for fun, especially if you're looking to kill a little time. (No reward involved. Sorry about that.)

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and interest.

Cheers,
FFN Team

Frozen April News

Hello, this is AJ, the designer and developer behind FFN: EVE.

Updates for FFN: EVE may resume within the next two months (or, if things go well, within three weeks).

Honestly, my neighbors and I thought our issues would have been resolved a month ago, but things actually got worse.

What I can tell you for sure is that by the start of this summer, a huge six- to seven-month-long ordeal will come to an end. To be honest, there is a very small chance that things could turn out worse than they are now. If that happens, I might not be able to continue making games. However, there is a high probability that we will overcome this, thanks to the strong and kind neighbors from the faraway city, just like Rose, John, and Jane once helped out Huckletwain. So please, do not worry too much.

I might explain more later, but even though I have not been able to work on the FFN Universe for five months, that time was not wasted. I learned many important things that will help not just in life, but also in design techniques, and the creation of the FFN Universe.

Anyway, if everything ends on a happy note, I will be able to start working on the FFN Universe again. We had prepared a lot of festive content for last winter, but we really did not anticipate something this big happening. So, if I can return to work, you will likely see small updates released throughout the rest of the year, rather than major new content. (We are just about seven months away from 2026!) These updates might include improving UX design to be kinder to new survivors, fixing bugs that cause headaches, and making Huckletwain feel more lively.

Of course, a new village and new enemies have also been waiting for you (for a long time).

(And if I can make games again,) we are also planning to release a small new project that we have been working on since last year.

I hope I can bring you better news next time. I really have so many stories I want to share with you all.

Stay healthy, stay calm, and stay strong. Thank you so much, as always.

With gratitude,
AJ
FFN Team

Hey, Marvin here.

Today, I wanna talk to you in a more relaxed tone.

The Frozen March News might be coming soon, but before that, there's something I wanna share. So here I am.

About the FFN Team
As some of you might have guessed, our team is small. Just three members: Designer AJ, Yume, and me. In reality, AJ develops almost everything alone, while Yume handles Japanese localization. Both Yume and I help with testing and customer support.

But right now, things ain't going so well. Yume had to return home to care for her sick sister, which requires a lot of attention. (Japanese localization is still on track. This is 2025, after all.)

And then, there's AJ.

What's Going on with AJ?
It's hard to talk about this openly because it's sensitive, and AJ might talk about it in a few years. But here's what I can say.

For the past eight years, AJ's work on the FFN Universe has been interrupted by a major external obstacle. A few years ago, it led to an economic crisis, which, fortunately, has been overcome. But a deeper, fundamental problem remained.

AJ thought this issue was completely resolved three years ago, but it wasn't. Like an incurable cancer, it grew back rapidly, returning like Voldemort three months ago. To be exact, a man discovered it and told AJ. Now, AJ has no choice but to face it head-on, along with AJ’s neighbors.

Right now, AJ is away, working to "debug" this real-life fatal bug with some "friendly neighbors." AJ's like "Life has basically turned into a huge noir open-world game, and the massive, dramatic historical event happening now. That'll be the final story of the FFN Universe."

Actually, AJ has been up every day, too pumped to rest. Even though it's a serious crisis, AJ sees it as a once-in-a-lifetime experience that's priceless in its own way. That said, AJ's immunity has dropped from lack of sleep this winter, and AJ's health ain't great.

The good news? This “main quest” in AJ's life is expected to be completed within two weeks or a month. Once it's over, AJ can finally create all the FFN Universe projects as planned, and at a much faster pace than before. (Because this time, the huge obstacle will be completely gone.)

In the meantime, it's just me left running things. Feels like Tom Hanks on an island, talking to Wilson every day. That's why I'm really glad whenever I receive a review, email, or message from y'all.

About the Difficulty
AJ knows. AJ's heard it several times: the game's too difficult.

The last time we talked about it was three months ago. AJ's stance is firm: FFN: Eve is a horror game at its core, and the villains won't be nerfed into buffoons just to make things easier (even if that brings thumbs-down reviews).

AJ may want survivors to feel indescribable catharsis when they finally defeat the enemies, like pushing through that one last rep in a brutal workout. (Maybe "Motherfxxker," a line from Rose, captures that feeling.)

If you're struggling, there are some guide vids on YouTube by veteran survivors. Worth checking out.

That said, difficulty is AJ's personal design choice. As someone who tests the games, I was really annoyed.

I once asked, "Why do I die in just one hit?"

AJ's like, "If you get shot or stabbed once or twice in real life, you'd die too."

So I fired back, "Then why the hell doesn't Santa die easily?"

And completely serious, AJ replied, "He's wearing state-of-the-art tactical body armor. Or maybe his suit is bulletproof, like John Wick's."

I had no comeback.

Honestly, AJ always does this. The Way Home, our second game, was just insane. Wouldn't necessarily recommend it unless you're really curious. Back then, Yume literally sobbed while playing it, and AJ was just like "The subject of this game is about total irrationality."

I have nothing more to say. AJ's brain works in ways I can't explain, and I mean that in the best way possible.

About the FFN Lineup
We sometimes get inquiries from fans and visitors about Flaming Friday Night, FFN: Eve updates, and upcoming projects.

There are 14 planned FFN works that I know of. AJ will reveal specific details soon, but for now, I can say this:

Every story is already fully outlined. Many elements haven't even been revealed yet. The only thing AJ needs is time to create the world. One thing is certain: AJ will spend the rest of AJ's life making games, unless something threatens that goal.

Keep your fingers crossed for AJ and AJ's "friendly neighbors." Everyone's waiting for their return.

I'm bored as hell these days and want things back on track ASAP.

Can't say "We'll be back" or even "We'll be right back" this time. But what I can say is:

We hope all of you stay happy and healthy, wherever you are. And yeah, this might sound like boomer talk, but love yourself, your neighbors, your friends, your family, and your home.

And I truly mean that.

Regards,
Marvin

Frozen February News

Good evening, survivors. This is Marvin.

We have some news to share with you.

Steam Profile Avatars
FFN: Eve-themed avatars are now available on Steam. Look at Mr. Brandon. He's really cute, isn't he? Feel free to customize your Steam profile avatar as you like.

About the Next Update
Designer AJ is back to work on the project. However, we can't promise the upcoming updates, as there is a very slim chance that we may not be able to make games anymore, though this chance still exists. Nonetheless, we will likely release small updates gradually for the time being.

We always appreciate your support.

Cheers,
FFN Team
