2.00.73822 - Darkest Dungeon II - Kingdoms Update

We are moving all the update/changes from the past week from our coming_in_hot branch to retail. Here is a collated version of the notes for the past few updates for those who never switched and will be getting this patch for the first time!

  • Updated Hunger of the Beast Clan item tooltips to provide better clarity on Escalation requirements
  • Fixed flickering light issues with forest and valley kingdom inns
  • Adjusted militia bark chances so that they don't bark 100% of the time
  • Blocked "hapless defenders" narration from playing when garrisoning hero at camp
  • Fix kingdom map fog jumping when cell is selected before zoom finishes
  • Attempted fix for softlocks that occur at the Inn when embarking
  • Fix to loosing heroes when transferring heroes to current cell and removing heroes from party in the same day
  • Fix to inn bonus and kingdom event inn upgrades clearing when you have a manual siege
  • Added a new feature to Hero Story Combat encounters. Now when failed players will have the opportunity to retry it once more before having to continue on
  • Fixed Mucilage not able to gain the ordainment buff while in Act 5
  • Fixed issue preventing Death from appearing in the Tundra
  • Resistance kill contracts now provide baubles from their respective regions
  • Lair, Creature Den, and Chirurgeon kill contracts now have increased relic rewards and removed bauble rewards
  • Baubles have been removed from level 1 inn treasure loot pool
  • Inn materials from level 2 inn treasures has been increased from 20 to 30
  • Inn materials have been removed from the level 3 inn treasure loot pool
  • Mastery trainer Inn upgrades to reduce cost of changing paths has been moved from advanced to basic
  • Crimson Tick found at Kingdoms Academic's Studies now has a chance to drop alongside The Blood or The Wine rather than replacing them
  • Fixed some warning label text getting clipped in physician screen
  • Fixed anchoring and spacing between continue label and icon in kingdom travelogue
  • Fixed overlapping text in Polish biome panel
  • Fixed more move skills that don't have the move color correctly associated with it
  • Fixed an issue with flickering lights on all ramshackle inns
  • Fixed an issue where users were able to ignore Death's forced combat by retreating
  • Fix to duplicate actors showing up in boss kill travelogue.
  • Fixed camp cells not showing camp name after inn gets destroyed on Kingdoms map
  • Fix to sieges from driving going straight to inn and lumping rewards into the wrong loot window
  • Fix to block Inn Hero Replacement UI being activated during scene change to Embark which caused an error
  • Fix for Death Stamps using the wrong locators for positioning
  • Fix for palette loading errors when swapping characters at superhuman speeds
  • Fix for Pass Day breaking when swapping overlay screens very quickly
  • Possible fix for Click to Continue softlock
  • Fix for returning to Main Menu from Kingdoms causing some issues
  • Fix for a driving camera error that may have lead to a crash
  • Fixed an issue with Abomination beast mode animations which also caused a softlock on death's door
  • Fix for the Carrion Eater being able to mutate earlier than Escalation 2 in Kingdom.
  • Fieldstone: Turn End Stress reduced from +2 to +1
  • Updated Pip Highlighting Logic on Character Sheets and Crossroads UI to more accurately display enemy targeting and hero position preference based on skill selection
  • Added Black Light Lantern to Kingdoms inn shop table after visiting the Catacombs
  • Added correct tag to the Meat Post to prevent insta-kill effects from being applied
  • Fix for Purple Screen softlock
  • Large Optimization pass
  • We also added new achievements and fixed It's Complicated achievement not calculating correct (it now correctly checks for 8 unique heroes involved in relationships and not 8 active relationships)
  • Alpha Rot Claw: fixed an issue with it having skills that will never be revealed in the Academic View
  • Alpha Rot Claw: fixed an issue with Thundering Hooves applying Taunt to the target
  • Confession 5 Boss - Fixed an issue with the Abomination's Spectre not properly clearing if the Abomination was slain

  • Fixed the color of the stress heal on the Unchained's version of Transform / Transform+ to match other stress heals

2.00.73822 Darkest Dungeon II - Kingdoms Coming_in_hot Release

This build is deployed to our Coming_in_hot public beta branch. As always we like to let these builds soak on the public beta branch as we continue to work on the localization and other stability issues.

Note: We always recommend making a backup of your save file before switching branches!

We are in a great stable orbit now and after this soaks for a day we will most likely be pushing the culmination of these changes to retail.

  • Updated Hunger of the Beast Clan item tooltips to provide better clarity on Escalation requirements
  • Fixed flickering light issues with forest and valley kingdom inns
  • Adjusted militia bark chances so that they don't bark 100% of the time
  • Blocked "hapless defenders" narration from playing when garrisoning hero at camp
  • Fix kingdom map fog jumping when cell is selected before zoom finishes
  • Updated Localization
  • Attempted fix for soft-locks that occur at the Inn when embarking
  • Reverted Beast Hides dropping from sieges. The change led to bad interactions with Inn treasures (NOTE: If you are on this step and are no longer getting the drops occurring, you must go to the Inns and pick them up from the Treasures that have spawned their from successfully fended off sieges)
  • Fix to losing heroes when transferring heroes to current cell and removing heroes from party in the same day
  • Fix to inn bonus and kingdom event inn upgrades clearing when you have a manual siege


We also pushed another build to coming_in_hot a couple days ago (Feb 7) that we missed publishing here. The details from that previous build are as follows:

  • Added a new feature to failable Hero Story Combat encounters. Now when failed players will have the opportunity to retry it once more before having to continue on
  • Fixed Mucilage not able to gain the ordainment buff while in Act 5
  • Fixed issue preventing Death from appearing in the Tundra

KNOWN ISSUE: There is an issue with the game LUT manager not updating correctly resulting in incorrect visuals at times

  • Reduced appearance rate
  • Disabled from appearing in Hazard & Rough Patch mashes
  • Passkey: Removed Immobilize on CRIT
  • Added passive debuff, When Moving: Add Blind (15%) or Weak (15%) or Vulnerable (15%) or Daze (15%)
  • Passive low Flame crit buffs reduced from +10% to +5% while under 50 Flame, +15% to +10% while under 25 Flame, and +100% to +15% while at 0 Flame
Bagman
  • Seepage: Now has cooldown 1

As always we like to let these builds soak on these public beta branches as we continue to work on the localization and other stability issues.
