Lootun 1.0 Preview

Greetings Everyone. I have been hard at work on the 1.0 update and would like to preview some of the new content and features you can expect to see once the update releases.

Tasks:

Tasks are a new type of quest system being added in 1.0 and will be available throughout the game. Tasks come in a number of different types.

[h2]Primary Tasks:[/h2]
Primary Tasks serve as the main quest-line through the game, guiding you from one Mission to the next and rewarding you with some currency and materials as you complete them. Primary Tasks will also replace the existing Ascendancy Challenges system.



[h2]Secondary Tasks:[/h2]
Secondary Tasks are relatively short, repeatable objectives that can be progressed simply by playing the game. Secondary Tasks will reward materials that can be used to craft new equipment or upgrade your existing equipment.



[h2]Hunts:[/h2]
Hunts unlock at level 101 and require you to clear specific missions in order to claim their rewards. Hunts can be very rewarding, providing you with rare Equipment bases, Divine Items and even Enchant Scrolls.



By default, Task rewards will be automatically claimed upon completion, however if your inventory is full when completing a Hunt you will need to manually claim the rewards.

Endless Mode:

The Endless Spires mission has been reworked into the new Endless Mode consisting of 4 different missions, including both 3 character missions and 6 character missions. As with the original Endless Spires, monsters will increase in level becoming more difficult to fight as you clear each floor.


When you begin a new Endless mission you will have the option to proceed to the next floor upon completion or to repeatedly farm the same floor.

Fated Augments:

Completing the first floor of each new Endless mission will unlock a Fated Augment. Fated Augments are powerful effects that can greatly boost the power of your characters. Each character may only have one Fated Augment active at a time.



As you progress through the new Endless missions your Fated Augments will level up, improving the strength of their base effects and unlocking new powerful passive effects.

New Class:

1.0 will also introduce a new class, the Paladin! The Paladin has a full set of attacks, cooldowns and ascendancies to match the other classes. The Paladin is a versatile fighter with strong damage, tank, and support options to choose from.



Divine Items and more:

The new Endless mode will also introduce many new Divine Items to hunt for and make use of.



1.0 will also feature a large number of bug-fixes, balance changes, and quality of life improvements.

In addition there are a number of smaller features to look forward to, such as:
  • New Factions Passives allowing you to raise your Material Storage capacity and increase the chance to find Divine Items.
  • New Endgame currency sinks for Gold, Rubies, Soul Orbs and Donation Credits.
  • New Divine Augment system allowing you to gain the benefit of some additional Divine Item powers without needing to equip the Item.

[h2]Bug Fixes:[/h2]
  • Fixed a bug where the Recovery stat could display the wrong value if a Character has negative HP or Barrier regeneration.
  • Fixed a bug where Ctrl + Left Clicking Items inherited from a Characters Primary Loadout could unequip them, leaving them uninteractable.
  • Fixed a bug where the Glossary would not show the correct base Experience values for Monsters.
  • Damage dealt by Barbarian -> Blood Burst and Assassin -> Toxic Overload is now attributed to the Character that caused the effect and not the Character that applied the DoT.

  • Updated the description of the Lucid Sash bonus effect to better reflect how it functions.
  • Updated the description of the Stunned debuff when applied to a Raid Boss.
  • Added a new Advanced Setting to show the combat attack timers in seconds instead of percentage.
  • The Gem Storage has been renamed to the Item Vault and is unlocked by the new Item Vault Building Upgrade.
  • Players that have built the Gemcutter's Cabin Rank 3 prior to this update will automatically be granted the Item Vault Rank 1 unlocking the ability to store Gems within the Vault.
  • The Item Vault can be further upgrade to allow for the storage and filtering of Ascendancy Relics.

  • Merged the +Armour Rating and +Armour Rating % passives for Warrior.
  • Merged the +Evasion Rating and +Evasion Rating % passives for Ranger.
  • Merged the +Barrier and +Barrier Multiplier passives for Mage.

[h3]Damage Over Time Update:[/h3]
  • Damage Over Time effects can now critically strike by default.
  • Updated the Censure Enchant to grant +6% Ailment effect. (Was the ability for DoT's to crit).
  • Pin Down -> Critical Chance now grants +3% Critical Strike per rank (was +2%).
  • Gravedancer -> Critical Ailments now grants +10% Critical Chance and +25% Critical Damage to attacks that would apply a Bleed, Poison, or Ignite.
  • Introduced a new Class Passive that reduces the Duration of your DoT effects.

[h3]Gems Updates:[/h3]
  • Meteorites can now be Transmuted 1 time.
  • Imperial Stars, Heartstones, and Shifting Pearls can now be Transmuted 2 times.
  • Jewel of the Empire can now be Transmuted 3 times.
  • Added the Decaying Fragment, a new DoT Gem.
  • Cut Ruby now grants +5 Adaptive Damage (was +2) and +50% Damage (was +20%).
  • The Set Bonus for Cut Ruby now causes your Attacks to gain +1% Double Damage for each 10% of the targets remaining HP (was +4% Damage Multiplier).
  • Cut Opal now grants +300 Health (was +120) and +1% Healing Effectiveness (was +1.2 Health Regen).
  • Cut Opal now has a set bonus requirement of 5 (was 6).

  • Polished Fang now grants +1% Critical Chance (was 0.1% Health Gain on Hit).

  • The Set Bonus for Polished Fang now causes your Critical Strikes to restore 1% Max HP (was +5% Critical Chance).
  • Cut Malachite now additionally grants +3% Critical Damage
  • The Set Bonus for Cut Malachite now causes your Attacks to gain +2% Critical Chance for each 10% of the targets remaining Max HP (was +25% Critical Damage).
  • Cut Sapphire now grants +30 All Resistance (was +30 Elemental and +30 Physical Resistance).
  • Cut Sapphire now has a set bonus requirement of 5 (was 6).
  • The Set Bonus for Cut Sapphire now grants 0.5% of your Max HP and Barrier as All Resistance (was +150 Melee, Ranged, and Magic Resistance).
  • Cut Amethyst now grants +10 Adaptive Damage (was +4) and +150% Damage (was +40%).
  • The Set Bonus for Cut Amethyst now grants +5 Mastery Levels for all Skills.
  • Elementstones now grant +400% to their respective element (was +200%).
  • Elementstones now additionally grant +25 Elemental Penetration.
  • The Set Bonus for Elementstones now grants 10% of your Elemental Resistances as Penetration (was +200% Elemental Damage and +200 Elemental Penetration).
  • Ferrous Core now additionally grants +25 Physical Penetration.
  • The Set Bonus for Ferrous Core now grants 10% of your Physical Resistances as Penetration (was +200 Physical Penetration).
  • Steel Prism now additionally grants +3% Increased Armour.
  • The Set Bonus for Steel Prism now causes you to deal 20% More Damage while a Shield is equipped.

[h2]Bug Fixes:[/h2]
  • Fixed a bug where Item Drop Toasts could be displayed for Items that were Auto Scrapped by the Gem Storage Filters.
  • Fixed a bug where Raid Mission Previews would not correctly highlight on hover.
  • Fixed a bug where the Prepare Mission Menu could be closed by clicking inside the Menu window.
  • Fixed a bug where attempting to Donate too many high value materials could cause the Donation Credit result to overflow.
  • Auto cast settings have been hidden on the Character Tactics menu until the relevant upgrades have been unlocked.

  • The Professions Menu will now show the materials gathered from the last harvest.
  • The Damage Meter now lists the number of times each Character has died during the current mission. This value includes deaths that trigger the Flask of Resurrection, the Rebirth Enchant, or other similar effects.

[h2]Quality of Life:[/h2]
  • Updated the Bounty Mission buttons on the Bounty Menu to represent the Rarity of the Monsters spawned, the Elemental Empowerment status and the Rarity of the Upgrade Cores rewarded by the mission.

[h2]Balance:[/h2]
  • Applying Shock or Chill to a target with a more powerful version already active will refresh the duration instead of replacing the debuff.

[h2]Bounties:[/h2]
  • Bounties now gain +500% Item Reward Quality per Infamy Level (Was +250%).
  • The Fame Passive – Luck now grants +300% Quality to Bounty Rewards per rank (was +250%).
  • The Fame passive – Fortune now grants +6% Quantity to Bounty Rewards per rank (Was +5%).
  • Removed the Fame and Material penalty from Random Bounties.
  • Monsters slain in Bounties can now grant Experience and drop Equipment.
  • Bounties that have the Magic / Rare / Nemesis modifier will always reward at least one relevant Special Item Drop.
  • Bounties that have the Physical / Fire / Cold / Lightning / Arcane Empowerment modifier will always reward at least one relevant Special Item Drop.
  • Most of the above changes will only apply to newly generated Bounties.

[h2]Agony Missions:[/h2]
  • Reward Chests from Agony Level 10 Missions can now contain the Elegant Quiver, Eldritch Artifact, Goliath's Crusher, and Barbed Shield.
  • Agony Reward Chests now have a 2% chance to contain a Soul Tool per Agony Level (was 1%).

[h2]Bug Fixes:[/h2]
  • Improved the Performance of the Scrap Result Menu.
  • Fixed a bug where Skills granted by Enchants could be added to the Damage Meter multiple times.
  • Fixed a bug where the Envy Enchant would not correctly grant the attributes of Stolen Buffs.
