Lootun 0.9 Preview: Unique Items

Greetings Everyone. Welcome to another preview for the upcoming 0.9 content update. In this preview I will cover the new Unique Item system.

Unique Items:

Unique Items are extremely powerful items that can be obtained from the new Raid Encounters added with the 0.9 update. Each Raid Encounter that you complete has an associated Unique Item that will unlock upon completion of the Raid.

Unique Items cannot be Scrapped and you may only have 1 copy of each Unique Item, due to this your Unique Items will be stored in a new inventory called the Reliquary. The Reliquary will become available upon unlocking your first Unique Item and can be used to access, equip, or upgrade each unlocked Item.

Each Unique Item has a fixed set of Attributes and a powerful Item Bonus which can be further enhanced by Upgrading the Item.

Due to the large power boost granted by each Unique Item each Character may only have 1 Unique Item equipped at a time.
Upgrading Unique Items:
Unique Items cannot be upgraded in the normal way, their attributes are fixed and they cannot be enchanted. However by equipping a Unique Item and defeating Monsters you will gain experience for the Item. Upon reaching a certain amount of experience you will be able to upgrade your Unique Item gaining access to an Upgrade Point.

Upgrade Points can be spent on a number of powerful Passives unique to each Item which typcally enhance the Items core effect. Each Unique Item can earn up to a maximum of 4 Upgrade Points.

Defeating a Raid Boss on Heroic mode will unlock a new set of very powerful Upgrade Passives to choose from.

Divine Items:

The 0.9 Update also introduces many new Divine Items to find. Some Divine Items can drop from all Normal or Heroic Raid Bosses while others drop from specific Raid Bosses. As usual the Glossary is your friend when it comes to determing where to find certain items.

Wrap Up:

That’s all for this preview, thank you for reading this far. I am working hard to get the 0.9 Update finished and am hoping to be able to release the 0.9 Beta within the next 2 weeks.

As always feel free to leave any suggestions or comments here, or on the Discord.

Lootun 0.9 Preview: Raids

Greetings Everyone. Welcome to the first of a short series of previews for the upcoming 0.9 content update. In this preview I will cover the new endgame content, Raids!

Raids:

Raids are challenging single stage encounters that require a team of up to 6 Characters to defeat. Each Raid will offer some unique mechanics that will require you to think about your team composition and which builds you bring to the fight.
Unlocking Raids:
You will encounter your first Raid shortly after completing your first Agony Mission. Additional Raids will unlock as you clear higher Agony Level Missions and Faction Dungeons. A final set of Endgame Raids will unlock in sequence as you complete them.
Raid Rewards:
The Primary reward of Raids are the new Unique Items. Unique Items are extremely powerful items that come with their own set of Passive upgrades that you can allocate as you upgrade the Item. More information on Unique Items will be provided in next weeks preview post.

In addition to Unique Items, Raids also reward a large amount of Experience, Rubies, useful Crafting Materials, and a guaranteed Mythical reward chest containing some new Raid exclusive Equipment drops. Each successful Raid completion will also reward a Divine Item with each Raid having it’s own associated Divine Items.
Heroic Raids:
Upon unlocking and completing all the base Raids you will gain access their Heroic mode versions. Heroic Raids are much more difficult than their Normal mode counterparts and typically place much more importance on dealing with the associated Raid Mechanic. Heroic Raids offer much greater rewards in addition to some Heroic Mode exclusive rewards.

Heroic Raids are the pinnacle of Lootun Content and will challenge your builds and team compositions far beyond anything currently in the game.

Character Loadouts:

Character Loadouts are a new build management system being added in 0.9. Character Loadouts allow you to store multiple different Equipment Sets, Passive Selections, and Skill choices for each Character and quickly swap between them.

Each Character has a Primary Loadout from which your Equipment, Passive Selection and Skill Choices are automatically copied to your 2nd and 3rd Loadout. Any changes you make to your 2nd and 3rd Loadouts are remembered allowing you to use these Loadouts to make minor adjustments to your build for specific fights without needing to farm out a new set of Equipment or set all of your Skill Passives again.

When storing a new Team Loadout the active Character Loadouts will also be stored allowing you to store multiple versions of the same team for different encounters. For example you may have a Team Loadout with all Characters focused on dealing Area Damage and a second Team Loadout where the same Characters are focused on dealing Direct Damage.
Wrap Up:
That’s all for this preview, thank you for reading this far. Next week I will release a preview of the Unique Item system as well as a quick look at some of the new Divine Items you can expect to find from Raids.

As always feel free to leave any suggestions or comments here, or on the Discord.

Lootun 0.8 Preview: Factions

Greetings Everyone. Welcome to another preview for the 0.8 content update. In this preview I will be going over the basics for the new endgame system: Factions.
Factions:
Factions represent different groups within Lootun that require your assistance in defeating their enemies. As you gain reputation with each Faction you will unlock access to new Skills, Upgrades and Material Bonuses. Each Faction specialises in the collection of a specific endgame Material.

Upon reaching the maximum reputation level with a Faction you can continue to gain reputation and will be rewarded with additional materials each time you fill the reputation bar.
Faction Dungeons:
In order to gain reputation with each Faction you must run their associated Faction Dungeon. Each Faction Dungeon has 4 different difficulty tiers which unlock as you gain more reputation with each Faction.

Faction Dungeons are long, challenging, missions that will test your teams endurance. Each Faction Dungeon will require that you defeat several mini bosses before facing the final boss of each Dungeon.

If you find yourself with excess Donation Credits you can use them to Infuse your Faction Dungeon runs to gain an additional reward chest upon defeating the final boss.
Blessings:
Blessings are a new type of Material that can drop from Faction Dungeons at Tier 3+. Blessings allow you to improve the power of your Item Attribute Bonuses. Each Item can only gain the effect of each Factions Blessing once, however, Blessings can be added in any order allowing you to choose your own path through Faction Dungeons. Divine Items cannot be Blessed.
Faction Skills:
Each Faction has a unique Skill that can be unlocked after gaining enough reputation. Faction Skills provide powerful effects on short Cooldowns and can be used in addition to your existing Offensive and Defensive Cooldowns. As you continue to gain reputation with each Faction you will unlock access to powerful passive modifiers for each Faction Skill.
Faction Upgrades:
Gaining reputation with Factions will also grant additional upgrades in the form of Skill Bonuses and Material Bonuses.

Skill Bonuses are persistent attribute bonuses that are active for each Character making use of a Factions associated Skill.

Material Bonuses provide a permanent increase to the amount of Materials you gain from all sources. Each Faction provides a bonus to a different Material type.
Wrap Up:
That’s all for this preview, thank you for reading this far. I am hoping to have news about the 0.8 beta release within the next two weeks.
