What happened since the last time


[h3]Trailer preparations[/h3]
Over the last few weeks, we have been adding missing user interfaces and polishing a few things. This was important because we're also working on a trailer for the game, and for that, we want to make sure everything looks good.

[h3]Beware! There is a new enemy: "Banner Mouse" โš”๏ธ ๐Ÿญ[/h3]
Furthermore, we have created a new enemy that you will encounter as you make your way through the Wild Woods. The mice will support the other enemies by placing banners that will block your path. ๐Ÿ›‘ ๐Ÿคฏ



What happens next
  • Getting things polished for the Beta version
  • Creating new paths in the forest for more variety at crossroads

We're back, and we're whole again! :)

After some vacation time and thrilling adventures at various expos, our team is reunited and energized to continue our journey with you in Wild Woods!

What happened since the last time

Remember that Crossroad System we've been teasing? Well, it's ready to roll!



Now, you can easily spot the added challenge, the available resources and the upcoming event that will accompany you until the next crossroads. No more surprises - just strategic decisions! Get ready to explore with confidence ๐ŸŒŸ

The challenges are permanent until the end of the playthrough.

[h2]The charging boar ๐Ÿ— [/h2]
Joining our Wild Woods family is a fierce new addition - a wild boar! Players, take heed: when she charges your way, it's best to leap out of her path swiftly. And be aware to not let her charge against your wagon. Rosi won't be amused. ๐Ÿ



What happens next
  • Balancing
    • the game with the new crossroad system
    • for 1-4 players
    • specific enemy squad combinations
  • Creating animation and logic for the 2. biome boss encounter.
  • Creating still missing user interfaces.

Hey there, fellow adventurers!

Gamescom & PAX West ! ๐ŸŽฎ

We're thrilled to be back at Gamescom this year, unfortunatly showcasing the trusty old demo that some of you may be familiar with. For those who haven't yet had the chance to experience it, the old demo will be also available on Steam for the duration of the Gamescom.

Right after Gamecom we will travel across the great ocean to partake in PAX too.

What happened since the last time


[h2]Closed Beta this year ๐Ÿ‚โ„ [/h2]
You've been asking us quite a bit lately about when Wild Woods will be released. Unfortunatly, in collaboration with our publisher, we've made a tough decision.

Wild Woods probably won't make its debut this year. But we're excited to announce that a closed Beta version will be dropping this year. More details are coming your way, so stay tuned!

[h2]The flying squirrel ๐Ÿฟ [/h2]
Brace yourselves, because a new challenger has entered the woods โ€“ say hello to the mischievous Squirrel! This crafty critter glides down slowly and stealthily, snatching resources right from your wagon.







[h2]VFX & telegraphs ๐Ÿ’ฅ[/h2]
Besides giving our first boss a makeover, fitting him perfectly into a custom-made arena, we've finally had the opportunity to contemplate the visual effects within the game and have now settled on a style that resonates with us. It strikes a balance between not being overly cartoony and overly realistic, a design approach we're eager to carry forward.

Furthermore we unified our, so-called attack telegraph system (the red circles you better leave quickly ๐Ÿ˜ƒ )



What happens next


While some us travel around the world with Wild Woods onboard, the remainder continue to work on the following:

- New enemies again ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
- Iteration on deeper crossroad choices
- 2. biome boss encounter
- Visual effects and balancing.
