Sector System Beta Update

This update adds the following....

1. Infantry can now load & unload from helicopters fitted with door gunners

2. Fragmentation damage calculations have been corrected making all weapons more effective against troops. More noticeable on canon rounds such as the 30mm HEDP which can take out multiple infantry in one go!

3. Corrected a mislabelled hardpoint for the AH-56D Cheyenne

4. Door Gunners are now saved into Custom Loadouts correctly.

Sector System Beta Update

This update adds the following...

1. Wingmen will no longer continuously repeat that they are out of targets.

2. You now score 5pts for killing an infantry team. All members of the infantry team must be dead for it to count and whoever kills the last soldier will be credited with the kill.

3. Increased the size of the targeting pod indicator on the HUD

4. Added the targeting pod range data to the HUD. It is displayed to the right of the targeting pod gimbal indicator at the bottom of the HUD which is where it is displayed on an Apache HUD.

The range is displayed in Km or Miles depending on you preferences.

5. Added a flashing "Cross Through" to the targeting pod indicator when a target is outside the currently selected weapon's range. Feedback welcome on whether this is too much clutter. The other option is to change the solid box to a dashed line box.

6. Increased the size of the "- WPN RANGE -" alert on the targeting pod displayed when a target is outside the currently selected weapon's range. It was tiny before!

This update adds the following...

1. All versions of the Lynx can now be loaded with an M134 Door Gunner on the left and right side.

2. All versions of the Gazelle can now be loaded with an M134 Door Gunner on the right hand side only.

3. Door Gunners now cost Deployment Points - 5dp for M-60 & 10dp for M134

4. M-60 and M134 will no longer try to target IFV vehicles as they are totally ineffective against them but they will engage AAA and SAM targets if they are in range in a last ditch effort to take them out - although if you're that close then you're probably dead anyway ːsteamdeadpanː

5. Door Gunners will now target the nearest infantry team member which means they should be able to engage troops in buildings more effectively.

6. M-60 and M134 now eject 7.62mm casings instead of 12.7mm casings.

7. Adjusted the Angle of Attack drag force for the Lynx as it was far too low. This means the Lynx should now "brake" correctly and lose airspeed faster.

8. Adjusted the Angle of Attack lift force for the Gazelle which was incorrect. This should make altitude control in the Gazelle easier when slowing down.

This update adds the following...

1. Door gunners are now a bit more responsive & their engagement zone has been slightly tweaked to take into account their gimbal limits and I've corrected the gimbal limts for the left and right side.

2. Lynx door gunners now have a wider gimbal limit allowing them to engage targets roughly 10 degrees off the nose of the helicopter. They can't engage backwards very far due to the stores mountings.

3. Door gunners now correctly aim at individual soldiers rather than just shooting into the middile of the group. Soldiers still seem to be a little too resiliant to gunfire and I may have to adjust their health pool.

4. Fixed a bug that would cause the gunners to sometimes stop shooting but the audio would continue to play.

5. Optimised the turret code so that it uses no resources when not actively engaging a target. This effects every turret in the game e.g. Shilka, tanks, APCs etc

6. Adjusted the 7.62mm round to be less effective against armoured vehicles.

7. AH.7 Lynx can now carry door gunners.

8. All Gazelle helicopters can now carry a single M-60 door gunner on their right hand side.

9. M-60 fire rate adjusted to real world rates (about 10 rounds per second)

10. M-60 now has correct audio sample and it now works in 3D space correctly.

11. Door gunners no longer show up when cycling through your weapon list.

12. Adjusted the atmosphere and sun levels in Libya to be less blown out

13. Fixed a terrain tile in Libya that wasn't showing trees at far distances.

This update adds the following...

1. Fixed the Combat Lynx's load out screen so the wingman menu doen't overlap your menu.

2. Door gunners now snap to their correct position when attached to a wingman's helicopter

3. Door gunners now fire in bursts

4. Door gunners should now be able to track and engage targets a little better when the helicopter is moving.

5. New sound effect for the M-60 gun

6. M-60 now has a wider spread

7. M-60 is now better at engaging infantry units but still needs some work.

8. Optimised some of the turret script code

9. Fixed a bug with the looping audio system so the Shilka should now play its audio correctly when shooting.

10. Fixed a bug that was causing all turrets to be way too accurate!
