Español + 日本語完了 TL's Completed + Bug Fixes / Improvements

Hello, Hola, こんにちは !

We have finished translating the remaining Spanish parts (previously, some less important bits were missing, however, currently the game is 100% translated into Spanish by a native speaker).

Additionally, some errors with the Japanese version of the game have been repaired, and parts of the game that were updated / added in after release which were missing Japanese localization have been added.

We've also fixed the following bugs:
- Inability to change 3rd / 4th moves on low level monsters that have 3-4 moves
- Shiny monster sparkles on non-unique monsters when 1st mon slot is an unusable Dokimon
- Additional hints have been added to some texts that were too vague
- Some inconsistencies with the text have been cleared up
- Strange occurrence with localized versions of the game regarding monster and move names
- Missing Kanji characters for Japanese resulting in "missing character" square showing up

Blight Crystal (Monster Repel) + Exp. Boost & Improvements. Give me Feedback!

Hey guys! Quick update today.

I added a "Blight Crystal", this works as a monster repellant item. It only "counts down" when physically walking on grass, and there is a cute in-game visual for when it is active :)

I also vastly increased the amount of EXP that your Orbs provide. You'll see a huge boost from the first orb, but a slightly reduced rate per each orb collected after the first.

Before, the maximum EXP share was about 30%, however it's been raised to 40%, and you get 25% from the very first orb (before, first orb only gave 12.5% of battle exp).

Additionally, since new items were added we increased the inventory spaces, and adjusted several stores. The stores should have a slightly better item selection available now, as well as the Blight Crystal.

I have also made several improvements, including improving/adding some text so that less people have to get lost or back track, and even add

Your are my beloved community and I have added these things in at your guys feedback / requests, please drop any additional feedback in this thread !! I will add in what I can if I feel it will improve the game :) Cheers!

P.S. Please give the game a review, if you want! Be honest :D and if you think there's something I should fix or improve, drop it below! I'll work on it ♡ thank you !!!

Full Changelog:
- Added "Blight Crystals" : Monster repellant item (available in-stores)
- Adjusted shops : Places with "better" shops, and also unique shops, have been improved
- Increased EXP sharing : Doubled initial EXP boost + increased max EXP share, collect all the orbs !!
- Repositioned and Reworded NPCs to minimize confusion / back tracking
- Added 2 new item slots to each inventory category
- Added some new world item locations to the worldmap and some of the house's rooms

Fixes:
- Fixed some issues with changing monster forms (like on Burnsby, Felt, etc)
- Enabled Fullscreen mode by default to address some issues on Steamdeck Gaming Mode (use Desktop mode!!!)
- Fixed a rare bug where battling with monsters that only had 1 move could result in a crash
- Fixed a rare bug where battles would cause issues when battling right after Nicknaming / Form Changing
- Fixed an exploit that let players walk through certain objects when running into them the exact frame after a battle
- Optimizations to the Localization system were made, and cleanup puts game size below 70mb
- Some typos or overrunning text were fixed.

We're still working on the Spanish and Portuguease translations, however we expect these to be finished by the 30th of this month.

Japanese is also getting a small TL update to account for recent updates.

That's all, don't forget to leave your feedback below! I will definitely be reading :)
We also have a discord, if that's better for you:

And please review the game if you want !!! You can review it from your library or below the trailer:

Dokimon: Quest on sale for 40% off + Trading Cards have been Added!

Hey guys! Super super fun update today, we have trading cards, whoohoo !!

This is has been a long life goal of mine for YEARS and Dokimon: Quest is the first game I made that was eligible for Steam Community Items, I'm so glad! :D

Go check them out. If you've played the game for a few hours, you should be able to find at least 2-3 in your inventory :) Additionally, if you craft badges, you can get cute emotes and backgrounds!

I'm currently rocking my favorite Dokimon background on my Steam profile! I'm post an image below. You can also see the cards in my items slots :)

Additionally, the game is currently 40%, tell all your friends! This is a great opportunity to pick up the game, especially with it being deepest (to date) sale, and first big sale since the "Final" content update released not too long ago^^

I also wanted to let everyone know that the game has had some minor bug fixes along with this update. Some extremely rare issues, but issues nonetheless. If you reported something recently, it was fixed!

Tell me if you Find Bugs
p.s. I'm like, super good at fixing bugs, and extremely quick too. But.. my weakness, FINDING them. If you run into anything strange on your playthrough, please respond here or make a new thread in the Steam Community Hub, or tell me on discord. Heck, you can even email me! I will fix it as soon as I see your message.

PSA For Steamdeck Users !!! Please try playing in Desktop Mode. For reasons we have been completely unable to figure out, there's various issues in Gaming Mode ONLY, which is the default play mode when playing a game on Steam Deck (I think, idk, mine has been eternally locked away in storage in a foreign country, so, yeah...)

Hey, that's all for now! Maybe we'll be back for more content updates in the future, though free content updates are currently on halt while we experience with other projects, any bugs reported will be fixed asap regardless.

Thank you again for supporting us, and don't forget to leave a review and tell your friends about Dokimon: Quest, cheers!

"Last" Content Update: Flight, Final Boss, Clothes, Accessories + Spanish

Hey guys^^ This is the "last" content update for Dokimon: Quest.

I put it in quotes because, the reality is that there's still some things that I'd like to add to the game, however I need a bit of a break from indie dev for now.

Anyway! Let's get into this update I've been working so hard on^^

Here's what this update brings:
- Flight
- Clothes
- Character Accessories
- "Final Boss"
- Alt-region "Mega City"
- Spanish Script
- Introduction to Portuguese
- Steam Deck improvements

- About Flight
You can now unlock flight travel after completing some pre-requisites. This has technically been in the game for a while through some shadow-push updates while we were testing and polishing the system, but it's completely done now. After reaching the final town, and registering at the flight school in Xelos, you'll gain the ability to fly to most major cities by interacting with the flight signs available in each town.

- About Clothes
There's two outfits that have been added to the post-game. Track down where to buy them in the "alt-region" past the portal that opens up after beating the main story.

- About Accessories
Similar to clothes, there's a number of accessories that have been added, including "Burnsby Ears". This is a headband you can purchase and toggle on burnsby ears atop your character.

- Final Boss
I have added myself (well, technically the MC from another game..) to the alt-region. Battle against her for a big prize, and the "true ending" to the game.

- Alt-region "Mega City"
The Mega City in the alt-region (through the portal north-east of Aki's shrine after beating the game) has been finalized. The quotes in "Mega City" are bc though technically that's what it was originally intended to be, compared to Xelos City (the mega city in the main region) it looks like a hut in the woods (lol). Alas, it's finished.

- Spanish Script
The game is nearly completely, fully translated into Spanish and currently playable in Spanish. We're still finalizing some non-important data, like non-important DLCs, monster descriptions, etc. But the main story is completely translated, and the translation will be 100% finished within a week or two.

- Portuguese
Similarly to Spanish, the game is being translated to Portuguese. The script is about 50% finished, however it's not currently tested or added into the game. We hope to finish this within a month from posting this.

- Steamdeck Improvements
Despite the game playing perfectly fine on Steamdeck in Desktop Mode, there has been some outstanding issues in Gaming Mode, for reasons we cannot figure out (due to not having a Steamdeck of our own on-hand). However, we did a lot of guess work, and worked with the community a bit, and did a ton of optimizations, and believe Steamdeck is running perfectly on Gaming Mode as well. After applying these fixes, the Steam team stated they could not replicate any issues, so we marked this as resolved. That said, if you run into issues, please switch over to Desktop Mode, as there are 0 known issues here.

- Bugs and other Misc. Fixes
While translating to Spanish, we were able to identify and fix a lot of grammar or wording errors. There have also been several minor bugs or visual errors that have been fixed, monsters, moves, and enemy trainer's team's balanced, as well as several minor improvements to some existing systems and UI. lastly, we cleared out a lot of junk which has reduced the game size from almost 80Mb down to about 62MB.

- Removal of "coming soon's"
This isn't an addition, so I didn't add it up above. But I got several (complaints?) mentions of the game's "coming soon" content. Stuff I decided I would add into the game for free after it released as a way to thank players for the support. This, kind of back fired. I didn't realize it would make the game feel unfinished, as that isn't the case.

It was intended instead to be "the game is done! but I decided to add more stuff for free since the game performed well :)". I've since made a mental note to keep "coming soon's" or "would like to adds" to update posts like this, and not including them in-game (in my defense, I've played almost 0 games in the past 4-5 years, and my last monster tamer experience was Temtem on it's EA release date...), but anyway, oh well!

- In Conclusion
That's it for now! Stay tuned for future localizations, and perhaps some free updates in the future. We're still considering the possibility of DLC, Spin-off titles, and Sequels, but nothing is confirmed just yet.
